A Wilde Hunt
[ The harpy with wallcreeper wings can be found swooping over the hunting grounds during the nights of the hunt, searching for people in need of medical attention or other sorts of distress, and sometimes just for an interesting perch from where she can marvel at how different the world looks from high up.
The wilde hunt has completed her transformation, leaving her with a vivid plumage and feathery ears, as well as an impressive set of claws for hands. The latter of which makes her work as a doctor quite difficult but she is trying her best to work as usual.
If you are very lucky, you may even catch her dipping down into a river or pond and bathing her wings - looking quite bird-like indeed gleefully splashing around, though she is likely to deny it forever and ever. ]
Around Town, Goblin Market and others
[ She is a regular to the Goblin Market, always searching for actually working medicine among the many questionable brews offered here, trying to learn more among them so she can hopefully soon be making her own. ]
What more can you tell me about your potions? [ is quite a common question, one which often draws nothing but ire from the sellers, though she remains unimpressed by this. ] I'm not going to buy anything if I can't ascertain the quality of your work!
[ At other times, she will be just exploring the town or can be found in the library, trying to learn as much as she can about the world she has found herself in.
Later in the month, there is a new project keeping Wen Qing busy: she has been informed that she is going to develop the urge to build a nest, and being a very proactive harpy, she can be seen lugging entire branches from the woods or poking around searching for pillows and other soft materials for the nest building project. Not that she knows how to build a nest, as her sorry attempts on the roof of a warehouse are proving. Even with all her hard work, it looks more like a haphazard pile of sticks than the elaborate ball-shaped nest she had in mind.]

[He does not want to be a monster. It's debasing, isn't it? He has been working on his image for some time now, recently actually even getting some success out of popular trends liking the supernatural, and he really has no interest in losing that progress to something like becoming a visibly inhuman creature out in public. So far, the only real signs of change are his enlarging canines and some strange discolored spots over the skin on his arms and legs, but he's been keeping those as covered up as possible.
So, yeah, he does get a little spiteful relief in the Wilde surrounded by the barrier, seeing all of the other people undergoing their own changes and figuring things out. He's not really looking to hunt or to disturb anyone seriously, but when he catches Wen Qing bathing her new wings in the water, he still laughs.]

[She sees the glint in the blade she’s putting finishing touches on, polished to a mirror finish because that’s what the customer wanted. Perhaps not practical, but it shines. More than she would have expected…
She doesn’t know what happens, all she knows is that she was working, and then she’s in a fountain, of all things. She splutters, startles, slips on the bottom of the fountain and lands with a splash. For a moment, she just sits there in a daze, despite the water soaking into her clothes. This is…Strange. Stranger than strange, and she had thought she was getting a handle on strange things.
Slowly, she pushes back up to her feet and wades to the edge of the fountain so she can climb out.]
…Right.
[She looks around the city, looking for someone else on the dark street.]

[She punches her palm, rolls her shoulders, and starts off, waving down the first person she sees.]

[The market is dazzling, in a way. This entire place has been dazzling, even if her visit here is only temporary. The (potentially?) fleeting nature of her time here has made her want to experience all that she can. A bustling marketplace seems like an excellent place to stop.
She’s in front of a stall selling potions that claim to eliminate the need for a bond, and she… She actually looks like she’s considering it. She’s heard a lot about bonds in her brief time in Aefenglom, and she would honestly rather not deal with one. It would be an inconvenience, she’s sure, so… Best to find a way to avoid it.
Still, she’s not so blind as to not realize how shady this all is. So, she turns to the person next to her, maybe even reaches out to tap them on the shoulder.]

[Magic, by now, is no stranger to Adelaide. She’s been practicing for years now, ever since leaving home. The magic she knows, though, is nothing like the magic here. Or, well, so she assumes. Magic, she was told, is secret. Not to be shared. There’s no real resources for magic out there quite like this - certainly nobody is holding classes - so maybe there’s more similarities than she realizes.
Except for this whole moon stuff. Adelaide’s never noticed any difference because of the phases of the moon, but she thinks it’s best to err on the side of caution. She goes to the Hunt, though she’s not quite sure what she’s actually going to do until she’s there.
She sees the Shade, and she sucks in a deep breath. That’s...not good. She raises her hand, gestures, and… The Shade turns into a fireball.]
Oh, fuck!
[That’s. That’s a lot of fire.]
Uh, I mean, I meant to do that. Yeah.
[Totally!]

[It's a quiet enough spot at any rate, populated by a few others doing the exact same thing as Alucard and Maria: sitting down where it's quiet, close enough to food stalls if needed and far away rfom most of the hustle and bustle of the celebration itself. If the more relaxed air around Alucard is anything to go by, it suits him.
It's interesting watching Maria's crepe approach, which seems more focused on examining the individual compontents of the thing rather than deating it all in one fell swoop. That it isn't already a mess feels like a small miracle.
Alucard leans back a little, hands splayed on either side of him to support the weight. His eyes move from Maria to the stars instead, and he's quiet for a moment.]

A | Goblin Market
[ Half an hour into his arrival here, Jean decides to explore the town. He's cautious still - an old habit of his that's been around sINCE childhood - but there's nothing to be accomplished by hiding away from what he doesn't know. The town reminds him a little bit of Marley in the way it's set up, but the people look nothing like anything he's seen. They talk like humans, they walk like humans (for the most part), but there's ... something inhuman-looking about almost everyone. Monsters, apparently? People turn into monsters here. That's not an all a settling fact to learn, but honestly, he's been in worst situations.
The market does catch his eye, if only because he's quite peckish and also curious about all these products he's never seen before. When he hovers near one of the stalls, the shopkeeper is quick to start his sales pitch.
'Love potions! Find the person of your dreams or become completely irresistible to everyone around you! Son, I think this is exactly what you need!'
Jean is quick to give him a flat look. ] Anyone can tell that that's a scam, old man. Who would fall for that?
[ ... ] Wait a minute. Are you saying I look desperate?
[ High-tier rude. He has a very successful love life(no). ]
B | Goblin Market
[ So after having a sample rudely spread on his hand, Jean is now feeling the unfortunate side effects of the dodgy potion. Minutes into making his way across town, he's starting to feel a little ... light on his feet. ]
You're kidding me. The potion actually worked ...? [ The vendor told him the potion was supposed to lift his spirits, turn his sullen look into one of delight and bliss ... He's certainly feeling that some form of 'lightness' right now, only it's more physical than emotional.
In fact, his feet start parting with the ground soon after, leaving him floating in the air like an untethered balloon. ]
Hey! What the fuck ...?! [ He definitely doesn't want to go flying about in the sky with no way to get down, so he grabs the hand of the nearest person beside him. It's really just his luck that he didn't bring his gear with him. ]

[ At this point, Jean's gathered that he's apparently a witch. Being the 'normal' guy for most of his life, it's definitely difficult to get his head around having some form of innate ability. Just a week or so ago, he didn't even know magic had existed, after all. It's a good idea to get a handle on his magic, because he doesn't have any weapons here and that's leaving him virtually defenseless in a world he doesn't understand.
Jean's always been cautious, though. He starts small. Sitting outside a cafe, he's decided to try his hand at making his coffee warmer with the use of magic. Warm coffee is nice. Warm coffee is safe. Nothing should go wrong, right? ]

A. An Unusual Arrival
[ Why? Why did it have to be mirrors? Was she destined to live a life that was specifically geared toward a curse of being set upon by the unfortunate fate bequeathed by reflective glass?! One minute she's being forced to look in a mirror against her will by a cheery and over-the-top aunt of her Master's beloved and the next she popped her head up out of someone's pool. Soaked from head to toe is not exactly how she wanted to spend her day.
Yet spend her day this way she had. More than a few heads turned due to the tightness of her clothes which, by this point, have been sufficiently replaced. The glasses she wore hadn't been a necessity and given that Cybele was no longer an issue she had no reason to hide her eyes behind a blindfold or glasses any longer.
Eventually you'll probably come across her, in one of three ways. The first is natural for some reason of your own design, the second is due to her bumping into you and trying to gauge the situation without an immediate apology and the third, the most comical of the bunch, is seeing a 5'7" woman walking around town with a large tarp over her body as if trying to hide every aspect of it. Someone heard about this whole "monster" thing and isn't being very receptive. ]
B. IV - The Wilde Hunt (TW for violence)
[ It finally happened. Sans the wings, Medusa has now reverted to the monstrous Gorgon form she once held in the past. Resisting it for too long caused her to become overwhelmed by what was essentially akin to a withdrawal and now, with glowing red eyes, the snake-like monstrous woman roamed the sectioned off portion of the Wilde. Wildlife are squeezed until they pop within her tail, fangs ripping bestial bodies to shreds and blood being consumed from the fallen prey.
Even if you happen to be one of her fellow Mirrorbound, a sentient Monster or a Witch unfortunate enough to find themselves within this part of the Wilde, none would end up safe from Medusa's rampage. She made no attempts at trying to be stealthy and hissed harshly at a few individuals that attempted to stop her, tearing them up just as badly as the others had.
You'll find Medusa in one of two ways. The first is during this frenzy, where you can try to stop her or just try to survive against her. The second is if you see her curled up and atop a hill within the forest overlooking a clearing, surrounded by trees. She's either sleeping or brooding, but if you find her in this state she's gained enough of her senses to not attack you on sight. Just don't expect a casual, cheerful interaction with the famed Serpent. ]
C. The Goblin Market
[ Would anyone have ever expected the brooding, silent, sultry Medusa to act like a young child? Because that is exactly what happened when the remnants of one of those potions splashed onto her as she attempted to peruse a few wares. ...Sorry, did I say act like a child? Because it hadn't just effected her personality. Without warning the magical elixir hit Medusa like a freight train and reverted her body, shifting her from the tall, adult looking woman down to a much smaller size. Not so thankfully, this didn't effect her clothes.
Much more thankfully, however, she had a large cloak on with a hood that obscured her. It isn't long after this change that she began zipping around the market, intentionally snatching elixirs so that she could dump their contents on unsuspecting people. Whatever that potion had been, it reverted her age and made her act much more rambunctious and like some form of prankster. Definitely indicative of acting the way she looked, apparently!
You can come across her and try to get her to stop, or you can be one of her "victims" who end up effected by an elixir yourself that she's messed with. You might even get hit by the same elixir, and possibly join her on her youthful mission of mischief. ]
D. Wildcard
[ Go wild! Please note that I am voicetesting as much as anything else and my first foray into a game means that there's a good chance I'll be getting some things wrong, at which point I want you to please correct me. "orz ]

Eventually you'll probably come across her, in one of three ways. The first is natural for some reason of your own design, the second is due to her bumping into you and trying to gauge the situation without an immediate apology and the third, the most comical of the bunch, is seeing a 5'7" woman walking around town with a large tarp over her body as if trying to hide every aspect of it. Someone heard about this whole "monster" thing and isn't being very receptive. ]
B. IV - The Wilde Hunt (TW for violence)
[ It finally happened. Sans the wings, Medusa has now reverted to the monstrous Gorgon form she once held in the past. Resisting it for too long caused her to become overwhelmed by what was essentially akin to a withdrawal and now, with glowing red eyes, the snake-like monstrous woman roamed the sectioned off portion of the Wilde. Wildlife are squeezed until they pop within her tail, fangs ripping bestial bodies to shreds and blood being consumed from the fallen prey.
Even if you happen to be one of her fellow Mirrorbound, a sentient Monster or a Witch unfortunate enough to find themselves within this part of the Wilde, none would end up safe from Medusa's rampage. She made no attempts at trying to be stealthy and hissed harshly at a few individuals that attempted to stop her, tearing them up just as badly as the others had.
You'll find Medusa in one of two ways. The first is during this frenzy, where you can try to stop her or just try to survive against her. The second is if you see her curled up and atop a hill within the forest overlooking a clearing, surrounded by trees. She's either sleeping or brooding, but if you find her in this state she's gained enough of her senses to not attack you on sight. Just don't expect a casual, cheerful interaction with the famed Serpent. ]
C. The Goblin Market
[ Would anyone have ever expected the brooding, silent, sultry Medusa to act like a young child? Because that is exactly what happened when the remnants of one of those potions splashed onto her as she attempted to peruse a few wares. ...Sorry, did I say act like a child? Because it hadn't just effected her personality. Without warning the magical elixir hit Medusa like a freight train and reverted her body, shifting her from the tall, adult looking woman down to a much smaller size. Not so thankfully, this didn't effect her clothes.
Much more thankfully, however, she had a large cloak on with a hood that obscured her. It isn't long after this change that she began zipping around the market, intentionally snatching elixirs so that she could dump their contents on unsuspecting people. Whatever that potion had been, it reverted her age and made her act much more rambunctious and like some form of prankster. Definitely indicative of acting the way she looked, apparently!
You can come across her and try to get her to stop, or you can be one of her "victims" who end up effected by an elixir yourself that she's messed with. You might even get hit by the same elixir, and possibly join her on her youthful mission of mischief. ]

[Quests have been slim pickings, snatched up in record time not long after they’re posted. The influx of so many Mirrorbound meant that there were more hands looking for work, and so that same work was gone in a flash, leaving only the odd, nebulous, or questionable ones still pinned to the board.
Sephiroth takes what is left of one particularly barren evening — the notice reads that there are rumors of a haunting at the old, local clock tower which looks over a section of the city like a stern sentinel perched on the horizon. That at night, there are noises, and flickers of shadowed movement, and that a young man claimed to see a figure ensconced in shadow, moving across the high framework like a ghost, only to disappear in the next moment. He had not stayed to learn what it was.
But it had been worrying enough to justify hiring someone else to investigate; to hope a brave stranger could meander into the hollow of that old tower and shoo the eerie presence away.
It’s work that’s beneath him, but compared to cat-finding — which was indeed a recent task he took up, too — to push open the creaking double doors of the clock tower, steeped in shadow inside, is a welcome reprieve.

granted, these public rose baths aren't quite the same, but they are certainly more what he is used to, and molly is no stranger to - nor timid about - a public bath. after the night's festivities he could certainly use one.
and so you might find, settled into a comfortable corner, a lavender tiefling with bejeweled horns lounging against the hot stones with his arms rested comfortably back, his head leaned against the stones. myriad colorful tattoes paint both his front and back, and though his colorfully patterned clothing is discarded in a heap on a bench behind him, he hasn't removed the silver and gold ornaments from his horns or neck. that's just too much work.

[ So, one day he plopped right out of a mirror. The mirror of a bathroom and he slides right out onto the floor with a confused "Wut". There's a bit of a ruckus as he tries to get his feet under him, grabbing onto the nearby sink and almost tumbling headfirst into it.
Shit. He pulls his shirt down, as if to straighten up his appearance, but the sound of the door opening surprises him and he hops back into a stance, fists up - only to lose his balance and just sit on the toilet. Dramatically. ]
Uh. Hi? [ A hand goes to the back of his head, scratching at his hair as he tries to think of something to say. Other than Oops I fell out of your mirror in the middle of the night sorry. He isn't going to do a great job of it. ]
III. The Goblin Market
[ After his adventure with the bathroom and the mirror and the...whatever, Yuri is roaming through the market.
His expression is clear enough - he's not seen anything like this place before. He gapes at the various brightly colored potions, wondering if they're anything like the extracts he's used to. He hustles away from the weirdo who's trying to peddle something to him.
Who then starts to follow him.
So, obviously, he won't be paying attention where he's going and is liable to slam into anyone who may be doing their own browsing. ]

That's a whole lot newer, and given some of the things he's run across over the course of his life, that's saying an awful lot. On the other hand... it's not really like there's a lot of other places he needs to be either, and besides. A little reconnaissance never hurt anyone, even if it turns out that this particular world is one that doesn't have anything of significant interest to it apart from the somewhat unorthodox method of his arrival.
(Later, perhaps, he might look into that more. For now though... it's of lesser importance.)
Of course, part of information gathering is seeing what any of the locals have to say, and anyone who happens to be nearby when he arrives might find him turning towards them with a simple question:]

Which is tolerable when it seems like he's can't stop catches glimpses of far-away things in any reflective surface he happens to pass, and distinctly less so when it means that a simple teleportation has him landing somewhere that is very distinctly not where he'd meant to end up.

[Normally, he'd been able to deal with the pull of the moons. Not this time, though. Even the temporary bonding potion that the Coven had given him wasn't quite enough to ward off the restless energy that was building up within, so it was with great reluctance that Demyx took up the Coven's offer to burn off energy outside of the city.
Granted that more or less entailed sitting in the river, it was still better than driving people up the walls in his dinky apartment or bothering those who lived in the Big House. Plus if he was honest? This river was nicer than the one that cut through the city. It was quieter, bigger, and he didn't have to worry about someone throwing something into the river. In general, most people seemed to steer clear of this one.

If it was a shop, he didn't even bother being quiet. He just sprinted out of there at full speed, not caring who he slammed into on the way out. Maybe it was your character or maybe they have something to say about him barrelling over someone they know? Feel free to give chase, he doesn't have unlimited stamina.

So, sometime towards the end of it, he absolutely blows one up - after stealing adequate materials for a proper bomb and after learning the correct spells, that is. He doesn't care that the building next to the goblin is caught in the literal explosion. Good thing it wasn't... someone's house or a super necessary shop?
Aiden is immediately rushing off, ducking away to hide, but there's only a smirk on his face. There isn't an ounce of regret here. ]

His main focus is on enemies, however, and he's incredibly ruthless to any Shades. He's poured all his effort into getting a proper blade and he isn't afraid of using it alongside his magic. While he isn't the most trained, it's probably clear he hasn't stopped training since he got here. ]

[ Ever since meeting the teenage version of his mate on the street, Riley has been looking after him. Finding them some place to stay together, cooking meals and generally providing for all of their needs. He tries very hard to not think about another person that he's looked after in the same manner.
Right now, he is out getting food for the next few days that they might need. Which places him far too close to an explosion for his liking considering... Riley if fairly certain his sister died in a blazing fire. That he nearly died in one too alongside his already dead mate. Or well - he isn't completely certain how they got out but—
