[ oh hey, he didn't even have to convince this guy, score!! usually it takes a little wheeling and dealing when he's being a glorified street performer, but he won't look a gift horse in the mouth. mollymauk breaks into a broad smile. ]
Of course!
[ and, sweeping his colorful, glittering cloak off of his shoulders, he settles it onto the nearby grass, and dips into a flourishing bow. ]
[ Zack doesn't hesitate to take a seat, even if it means he might end up with some grass stains on his pants. Given the crowds that are out and about tonight, hunting down a proper place to sit seems like way more trouble than it's worth.
What a fancy cloak, too. Really, everything about this guy is pretty fancy. ]
So, this what you do for a living or is it just a hobby you do on the side?
[ The Fletching and Moondrop Traveling Carnival of Curiosities? It's a mouthful, though it rolls off the guy's tongue with ease. Everything about him sort of feels that way, honestly. If his job had involved enticing customers into getting their fortune read, then that makes sense.
In Zack's estimation, the stranger looks like he'd fit right in at the Gold Saucer or something. ]
Sounds like it'd be an interesting life, if you traveled around all the time.
[ Zack takes the cards. He's heard something about how you need to shuffle a deck seven times for it to be truly shuffled, but he isn't that patient, so after a couple of shuffles, he evens out the deck and then hands it back. ]
[ it definitely took him some practice to get that whole phrase out smoothly without tripping over the words.. but, at the very least he has a silver tongue to help him along. practice makes perfect!!
anyway, once the cards are handed back to him, molly turns the deck in his hands, then spreads them into a perfect fan, offering them forward again. ]
Choose the three you like best, if you wouldn't mind, and place them face down.
[ he says, briefly, before his eyes flicker to the sky. he frowns thoughtfully, squinting. ]
And I'd say I've been here.. oh.. twelve hours now, maybe?
[ all these monster features are sure just him.. ]
[ Zack's seen card tricks like this before, although not usually with the fortune-telling aspect to them. Mostly it was just sleight of hand, the sort of thing that would please a crowd. Either way, he doesn't mind humoring this guy, so he reaches out to remove three cards at random, then sets them down as instructed.
Twelve hours? So they got here at the same time, then. Which means that the stranger's appearance has nothing to do with the influence of this place. Huh. ]
Oh. [ Zack sounds a little surprised. ] Same here, actually. I woke up in a fountain. Wouldn't recommend it.
[ He glances down at the cards, curious to see what they'll turn out to be. He may not put any stock in all this, but it's still a fun exercise. ]
erryone so thirsty for them cards!!
Of course!
[ and, sweeping his colorful, glittering cloak off of his shoulders, he settles it onto the nearby grass, and dips into a flourishing bow. ]
Please, take a seat my friend.

The former. Or, well, at least until very recently I traveled with the Fletching and Moondrop Traveling Carnival of Curiosities!
[ he says, with a flourishing wave, before he offers the cards forward. ]
It was a good living. Now, shuffle these, if you would not mind, until it feels right to stop.
