Most arrived through permanent, individual mirrors located in the Looking-Glass House, a building on Coven property.
Your arrival disregarded this. You, and an unexpectedly high number of others, instead appeared through mirrors across the city. In addition to that, many of you have magical power or physical transformations far ahead of an ordinary schedule. It has proved chaotic for the Coven's officials.
(hm, is that why his magic's so advanced? so it's learned skill when arrivals are more "natural." it's good to know, in case this becomes permanent.)
So were you people anticipated and we weren't?
It seems as though things were already chaotic before I got here. Disease, public executions, black markets, and these are only a few of the disturbances I've heard about.
You're not wrong. Evidently it is the Coven's hope that we will aid in its problems. It appears to be a loose contract based on one's willingness, however. Plenty go about life without involvement in the disturbances you describe, and the city is fairly insulated from the outside wilderness of Geardagas.
I was going to squat in one regardless of whether it costed anything or not.
But I'll check the job listings.
More importantly, according to you, where is the best place to get the most food for cheap? I've been in the shopping distract and gone as far as the harbour docks, but nowhere in the richer areas. Do they have poorer quality things in the outskirts, or would it be fair to check there?
I'm unable to offer an opinion, as I haven't compared prices or quality of food across various districts. My preference is for one location that sells fresh vegetables in bulk, close to the shopping district.

You said my arrival was atypical. How did you come to be here?

Have you ever done anything for them?
no subject
Not directly. I've investigated the Cwyld to my own ends, in an attempt to understand it. Why?

Then how do you make money for basic necessities?

Housing provided by the Coven is also free.

(will risk cwyld infection for a hearty meal)

Is this important to you?

Fresh vegetables are fine. I prefer to cook my own meals.

[Attached to this message is an address where the food stand he likes is located. He also sends a map, THANKS AGAIN STILES.]
There.

This is useful. Talking to you hasn't been the waste of time I initially thought it'd be.
