Introduction: Hey, fam! I’ve been quietly stalking this game since October and I’m wicked excited to join everyone. IRL, I’m a technical writer and copy editor. Maybe due to how restrictive that can be, I like to throw the rule book out the window when typing OOCly (gross misuse of shorthand) and writing tags (commas and en dashes everywhere). Get fucked, work! Also, I stayed up way past my bedtime to post this, so I’ll hit up comments and other intros tomorrow.

Character Name: Stiles Stilinski mensrea

Appearance: Visual and gif. For reference, he’s taller than he looks and his voice is lower than you might expect.
Brief: Stiles is the one human in a pack of supernatural teenagers led by his childhood bestie. Said pack currently includes werewolves, a banshee, a werecoyote, and a kitsune. The monsters in Geardagas probably won’t faze Stiles, though he will freak out once the Arachne transformation begins to happen. In terms of personality, he’s sarcastic, curious, intelligent, clever, wary, obsessive, petty, awkward and goofy. Stiles is usually the type of guy you can count on to be inappropriate at the worst possible time. From his current canon point, he’s struggling to come to terms with the fact that he killed someone in self-defense – he literally broke up with both his girlfriend and best friend over the issue, and isn’t doing so hot in the anger management department because of it. You can read up more about him on his info/permissions page or on his app.

– Positive CR, negative CR, awkward teen drama CR. I love it all.
– CR who will force him to confront and address the plethora of insecurities he’s buried (I don’t particularly care if those issues are addressed in a healthy manner or not).
– Fellow extroverts to help crack open the shell he’s built himself and remind him that he’s a goddamn teenager. He’s kind of forgotten what it was like to be a high schooler with nothing on the mind besides pretty girls, losing his v-card, not making a total fool of himself at parties, getting off the bench at lacrosse practice, etc. Personal growth is fun and all, but let’s make some irresponsible decisions like the idiot teens we are!
– Mentors who can help him embrace the changes that the Arachne transformation will eventually cause. Your character doesn’t necessarily need to be a monster; anyone who can provide information or emotional support would be fantastic.

Offering
– Recovering extrovert? Once he gets back into the swing of things, he’s an outgoing guy who won’t be afraid to drag your introverted character into all kinds of nonsense.
– Undying loyalty. Stiles will genuinely die for your character if he forms an attachment. He’s loyal to an actual fault. Getting to that point may take some work (he’s going through Stuff right now and is fairly mistrustful), but the payoff is 100% worth it.
– Investigative researcher. Is your character trying to get to the bottom of a mystery, learn more about the world they’re in, etc.? Stiles is all about that. If something is weird or seemingly inexplicable, he’ll want to dig.

Introduction: hi! i'm agatha! please call me eggie if you prefer to shorten it! :D i live in southeast texas and i do tarot readings for a living. i watch a lot of horror movies and my most listened to artists are fall out boy and siouxsie and the banshees. aside from writing, i like to spend my time cooking, baking and putting stickers on just about everything! my spending weakness is make up and bath and body works brand hand sanitizers for some reason. my Random Vaguely Interesting Fact about me is that i collect novelty mugs, and that one harry potter quiz told me i was a double gryffindor no matter how many times i retook it to try and get a more interesting result.

i tend to be kind of sporadic with tags, but i usually tag back within two days at the most!

Character Name: Zelda, lucubrates
Canon: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Appearance: this... blond elf girl with green eyes instead of blue, for variety.
Brief: The latest in a long line of royal descendants all named Zelda, this particular Zelda is define as being kind of a geek! She loves science and studying history, and seeks out the hows and whys of things. As she's post-game, Zelda's a little more secure in herself as opposed to the beginning of her timeline, but she spent a lot of her life feeling inadequate and still struggles with it. Another defining trait for her that sticks out against other Zeldas is that she was raised royal with a chip on her shoulder about her destiny as the legendary princess, so she's got some Issues and is kind of Sad with a capital S. Her app is more in depth if you need more there, but she's caring individual who sometimes struggles with empathy because of her upbringing. Which is to say her relationship with her father was not fantastic!
Seeking/Offering: Zelda's new so I want just about everything! In particular, I'd love for her to interact with normal people and just kind of be brought down to Earth and viewed as her own person. She's lived in the shadow of her bloodline for a long time, and I'd love for Aef to be a fresh start for her. In particular, I would love to play out these things with her:

- I'd love for her to make friends with people in her age group, so anyone in the teens is welcome! As a blanket statement, negative CR is always a possibility with this particular Zeldas as she's, uh, still learning to be empathetic at times, and her upbringing was less than ideal. Patient types would be great, but people who would call her out on her mistakes would be great too.
- Nobility... people of social stature... She's a diplomat at the end of the day and gets along well with such people.
- Knights... people who serve the public in particular, you know what I mean... If your goal is to PROTECT then Zelda's interested. I highkey want to have knighting threads sometime so pls
- I'd like for her to eventually learn actual combat, so people who would be interested in teaching her that would be great!
- Science-y people... come at me. She might find the more "out there" types to be, well, Out There, but she has a strong interest in science and history! So!!!!
- Anyone who might be willing to let her record their changes & all that? She'll be very interested in gathering as much data as possible on how people adjust to their changes in the hopes of helping new arrivals adjust more easily, too.
- She attaches to people in a familial way so I'd love to work towards found family CR, though it might take a while.

Brief: Bernadetta is a very shy and anxious young woman who is most comfortable when she can spend time alone in her room. Due to the way her father treated her as a child, she has very poor self image and is not used to people wanting to be friends with her. Still, she wants friendship and she'll try her hardest for people who show an interest in her! With an interest in weird things (ex: she finds carnivorous plants to be adorable) and a strong creative streak, she'll be a fun person to be friends with once she warms up to you.

She is a monster here and is one of the Fae! The transformation will definitely bring about some panic so just have some patience with her until she realizes the fun she can have with her new state. She's a very good girl in the end. She's just been through A LOT.

Seeking/Offering:
- Friendship! Omg please let her be friends with you. It's something she longs for from the very depth of her soul. She'll probably think she isn't worthy of it but you can always be sure with Bernie that she's going to try her best for you. Especially if it means she can make you smile.
- Positive Reinforcement! Please help Bernie get out of her own head. She can very easily let her own anxieties catch up to her and just needs a firm but gentle voice of reason to remind her that she's not as worthless as she believes herself to be.
- Artistic Things! Let her make you some cute thing! She's very good at sewing and embroidery. One of her favorite things to do is make little plushies or accessories. Especially for people that she thinks of as her friends. But she is also talented as story writing and painting and cooking as well!

Introduction: Hi. I can’t say anything succinctly or I may die. I like apping characters who really have no business being in a particular game. This twelve year old whose magic is nerfed is probably the most competent character I’ve played in a real game in the last decade.

Character Name: Leslie (family name in legal limbo)
Canon: The Monster Duchess and Contract Princess (I like to refer to it as Momster Duchess because it makes me laugh)
Appearance: While she is 12, most people guess she’s 9-10 due to malnutrition-stunted growth (I estimate about 130 cm/4’3”). She’s no longer dangerously underweight after some time with people who actually feed her (the comic can be terrible about giving details and I can’t read the original novel, so I’m just going to say it's been a couple of weeks or so even though by what is shown explicitly it might have been under a week). Yes, her white hair and violet eyes are natural.
Brief: Unlike Æfenglōm, with its Victorian era aesthetic and common magitechnology, Leslie comes from a place with a Georgian era aesthetic and uncommon magic devices. Which means everything here is the future, zura. Also she wasn’t allowed to leave the house by her abusive birth family, so she knows basically nothing about The Real World, but she’s earnest and (mostly) friendly and polite and bright. She also has a sentient collective of shadows following her around sometimes (once she is settled in, they will also spend time under her bed), but they stick to her shadow when they do. In Aefenglom, it’s/they’re detectable by divination or just someone who is magically sensitive. I know you’ve got a problem with shadows infecting things, but she promises they’re cool. Also of note: Leslie is afraid of fire to the point that even a normal fire in s fireplace freaks her the heck out. Careful on that.
Seeking/Offering: STARES AT USERNAME okay so she won’t necessarily need a family here (she’s got an adoptive-family-to-be back home), but she does respond well to familial affection. I would also like to at least know if anyone wants to give Leslie some pointers on learning witch magic, because I can see this going one of two ways: someone gives her some pointers and she picks a reasonable class load, or no one stops her from taking every class and then three weeks later she blows something up because her attention is too scattered. Either works.

Anyway she's a cute kid who knows almost nothing about the outside world but is academically brilliant. She's always super sincere so if you want to show off to her or be a big damn hero for this child who can't do magic anymore/yet but still has everyone in her canon worrying she's going to snap a limb if she falls wrong, she's generally an easy audience. I'm usually down to try most things other than the sex-friendly part of the game. Let's tag and see where this goes.

I think Newt and Zelda would be pretty interesting to bounce off each other. Newt studies beasts for a living, so studying Monsters and Monster changes are definitely his jam and he has been in game since game opening so he has seen plenty of his acquaintances and their changes!

Character Name: (Brother) Nier
Canon: Nier...you know, Nier from Nier.
Appearance: Liiike this. 6 foot 1, packing a decent amount of muscle underneath the 99232 layers of clothing, pale skin with bags under his eyes that reach his feet, a very feminine face and scars up the wazoo across his body. He's a vampire here, but rest assured, he already looked like one beforehand.

Brief: A capable mercenary who fights for a living. At a front, Nier is muted, nonchalant and on the brusque side but no less amiable in spite of it. He puts the Brother in Brother Nier: he really will big brother just about anyone. Even if you're a stranger, he'll be quick to help you in a pinch or go to great lengths to take care of your problems. He's open minded and nurturing and can tolerate most people with ease. It's difficult to hurt his feelings in any capacity to a point where it's genuinely alarming. The guy's incredibly adventurous, thrives on thrill and has a bit too much bravado for his own good. He harbors a remarkably strong sense of justice, although what he considers "justice" is not as fair as you think it'd be — it's parried by a staunch ruthlessness that's often terrifying.

But here's the thing: while he may seem totally sane and for the most part, put together, he's far from it. Nier just about killed the human race to satiate his need for revenge. He has violent impulses and a taste for blood, and some notable edgelord tendencies to boot once you get to know him. There's a lot going on beneath the surface, and the closer you get to him, the more likely it is to manifest. If he cares about you, he will destroy essentially anyone and anything to keep you safe.

He's described as an unyielding protag and there's a reason why: he will do anything at any given moment. There is no stopping him.

Seeking/Offering:
- Nier is a vampire, and he doesn't cope well with having his energy levels minimized. SO. He's going to be looking for blood. And in exchange for blood, he'll do anything: he's known for his tendency to take odd jobs that nobody else wants to do in canon. So housework, bodyguarding, fetch quests, if you've got blood or coin he'll do it.
- If your character is looking for friends or a hard sell when it comes to friendship, Nier is your man. He has the patience of a saint and will fight to protect you for any given reason, and being everyone's big brother is His Thing.
- If you need someone to take care of your character or babysit them extensively, he will also do that without any issue!
- Negative CR comes to him as easily as positive CR does, especially with how righteous and violent he is. He's a lot more eager to fight than you'd think.
- He does a lot of very wild things, as evidenced by him trying to jump into a river and suck a merrow dry on the TDM, so anyone who is willing to be his straight man can go for it.

Appearance: A broad and tall guy who's not actually part of the mafia. He's 6' and scowling. At first glance he's definitely the type of guy you'd assume was a delinquent and gets into a lot of fights. His voice is about as low as somebody would expect.
Brief: This bad boy can fit so much self-loathing. He's a big tough guy who got into acting because he'd rather be literally anybody else.

He has a resting bitchface, please look past that. A tough guy with a soft and squishy inside, he's very loyal and protective of the people he considers his... even without any monster changes! As a turnskin his loyalty and protectiveness is only going to get more intense.
Seeking/Offering:
Offering
I desperately want to commit theater crimes. Let's do guerrilla street acts. Let's do theater crime. Let's write plays (no, don't let him write, he doesn't have that skill even a little bit.) As far as he's concerned theater is the only way he can change himself.

As somebody who tries to keep himself in check at all times, he'll likely be looking for a witch bond fairly early, even if he does shy away from letting people understand him in an intimate kind of way. It's the circumstances and he'll be working with them, even if he's not happy about it.

Juza's empathetic. The more he knows somebody the better he is at reading them and calling them out.

Seeking
Rival types. It's not that Juza is actively seeking them out, but he does run into them... because he's incredibly stubborn and competitive. Everybody in his group hates to lose. Though it has to be in something he's at least a little bit invested in (acting, for example). Otherwise, he'll just walk away. Though that might also be fun.

Fussy caregiver types. He's really bad at coming out of his shell without somebody to give him a few nudges. This is also the type of person he's more willing to open himself up to.

Criminals/Sketchy types. Juza is not a criminal but he does work with somebody who's in the yakuza. Please be his replacement sketchy parental figure. He won't judge for it.

Enthusiastic extroverts. There's somebody in his troupe that's like this, he has a soft spot for this type for a few reasons.

Sweets enthusiasts. Let him eat cake with other people who like cake.

Appearance: still and gif. No scars (well, one scar), not a lot in the way of muscle, petite. Pretty, soft and dainty on the outside, gremlin woman who will get you involved in a crossdressing infiltration mission on the inside.
Brief: Born to Dr. Gast, a Shinra scientist, and Ilfalna, a woman from a race known as the Cetra, Aerith is half Cetra and thus has the unique ability to speak to, understand, and help the Planet. After the death of her father, she and her mother were held in Shinra captivity as experiments until Aerith was 7, wherein she and Ilfalna escaped to the slums of Midgar. Near death, Ilfalna entrusted Aerith to a human woman named Elmyra, who raised Aerith as her own.

Given her unique powers, Aerith is wise for her age and incredibly intuitive, though she hides this behind the veneer of easygoing bubbliness. Her abilities and her lineage have isolated her from the majority of humanity, and so she is secretly lonely. Nonetheless, she is highly extroverted and good with people — in part because her gift and her personality altogether have given her a near uncanny ability to empathize and understand others. It would have been tragically easy for Aerith to become cold and hardened against humanity and all its failings, but Aerith is kind despite all the odds being against her. She looks ahead rather than behind her, and seeks to make the world a better place than it is. More info is available in her application. - That being said, Aerith is overall a stabilizing presence: she serves as a balance in later points of her canon, and is actually fairly intuitive and wise. She can be very calming when she puts her mind to it.

It gets to the point where one wonders if the only real difference is Leslie organized her own kidnapping and her fear of people went in the opposite direction until she could stand to be more afraid sometimes.

They’re both very cute on their own, so an eventual friendship will be incredible. I wonder if Hubert might enjoy the show more than find it a trial as they run in circles in the meantime.

Appearance: pretty and thick...and his hair is always weirdly perfect...also he is very well-armed and has a cat.

Brief: Emil is a 20-year-old adventurer from post-apocalyptic body horror disease Scandinavia, Sweden specifically. Personality-wise, he's very well-educated but pretty dumb, so he doesn't actually know much of anything, very spoiled and vain, highly insecure, and completely tactless. He's also extremely patient, considerate, loyal, and refuses to leave anyone behind. Emil likes to complain, brag, and has only had one actual friend in his whole life, but if you're cold he'll definitely give you his jacket and probably bring you something hot to drink, and other such actions. So if you can look past his terminal case of foot-in-mouth and frequent occasional thoughtlessness, he would actually be a great friend to have. Also, he loves fire and explosives, like, a lot.

Just about everything, honestly! I would love people for him to gossip with, explore with, make friends with, snarkily banter with...pretty much everything! Emil is a terrible student, so if you want someone to accidentally blow things up trying to learn magic, Emil is your guy! Eventually he'll work out fire magic so that'll be something. He's very outgoing and likes to make a good first impression, so he'll be willing to make the first move with more shy characters.

I think the biggest thing I can offer with him, though, is that he's patient and kind and has a high tolerance for BS, so that means he's really good with abrasive or otherwise 'difficult' characters that prefer bluntness, need patience, or are otherwise hard to socialize, so long as he forms the barest interest.
