Hello, thank you for joining us, and welcome to Aefenglom! The Intro Log will be going on later today at 3PM EST; keep an eye out for it! For now though, it's time to mingle and make friends, grab some CR, check out some quests, and get hopping!

Introduction: Hey, fam! I’ve been quietly stalking this game since October and I’m wicked excited to join everyone. IRL, I’m a technical writer and copy editor. Maybe due to how restrictive that can be, I like to throw the rule book out the window when typing OOCly (gross misuse of shorthand) and writing tags (commas and en dashes everywhere). Get fucked, work! Also, I stayed up way past my bedtime to post this, so I’ll hit up comments and other intros tomorrow.

Character Name: Stiles Stilinski mensrea
Canon: Teen Wolf
Appearance: Visual and gif. For reference, he’s taller than he looks and his voice is lower than you might expect.
Brief: Stiles is the one human in a pack of supernatural teenagers led by his childhood bestie. Said pack currently includes werewolves, a banshee, a werecoyote, and a kitsune. The monsters in Geardagas probably won’t faze Stiles, though he will freak out once the Arachne transformation begins to happen. In terms of personality, he’s sarcastic, curious, intelligent, clever, wary, obsessive, petty, awkward and goofy. Stiles is usually the type of guy you can count on to be inappropriate at the worst possible time. From his current canon point, he’s struggling to come to terms with the fact that he killed someone in self-defense – he literally broke up with both his girlfriend and best friend over the issue, and isn’t doing so hot in the anger management department because of it. Teen Wolf writers: what if…we gave the comic relief character PTSD? haha just kidding… unless…? :) (CW for blood and gun violence)

Seeking/Offering:
Seeking
– Positive CR, negative CR, awkward teen drama CR. I love it all.
– CR who will force him to confront and address the plethora of insecurities he’s buried (I don’t particularly care if those issues are addressed in a healthy manner or not).
– Fellow extroverts to help crack open the shell he’s built himself and remind him that he’s a goddamn teenager. He’s kind of forgotten what it was like to be a high schooler with nothing on the mind besides pretty girls, losing his v-card, not making a total fool of himself at parties, getting off the bench at lacrosse practice, etc. Personal growth is fun and all, but let’s make some irresponsible decisions like the idiot teens we are!
– Mentors who can help him embrace the changes that the Arachne transformation will eventually cause. Your character doesn’t necessarily need to be a monster; anyone who can provide information or emotional support would be fantastic.

Offering
– Recovering extrovert? Once he gets back into the swing of things, he’s an outgoing guy who won’t be afraid to drag your introverted character into all kinds of nonsense.
– Undying loyalty. Stiles will genuinely die for your character if he forms an attachment. He’s loyal to an actual fault. Getting to that point may take some work (he’s going through Stuff right now and is fairly mistrustful), but the payoff is 100% worth it.
– Investigative researcher. Is your character trying to get to the bottom of a mystery, learn more about the world they’re in, etc.? Stiles is all about that. If something is weird or seemingly inexplicable, he’ll want to dig.

Ahhh thank you so, so much! BotW Zelda is my absolute FAVORITE incarnation of her character. I still get weepy when I hear her lullaby playing in the Hyrule Castle interior track. GOD, WHAT A GREAT GAME ;~;

You honestly made the right call. TW is just such a bad show LOL. I'm always telling people not to bother watching it. But yeah, Stiles has gotten into a bit of Trouble recently :X

I'll hit you up (or vice versa) on the IC intro log! Maybe we can say that the TDM dream faded after he returned the bat to the tree, if you want to keep those memories? Or we can start fresh, up to you!

Hi Ash! I'm Rea, glad to meet you officially. I adore our TDM thread and would love to develop this CR further in game. Riku needs to make friends outside of his usual circle and Stiles has already proved his willingness to be reckless in the name of justice so he already has Riku's respect. lol

Plus they can bond over having their childhood ripped away by world altering circumstances.

Hey Rea, nice to meet you officially too! I was actually super excited when you tagged my top level; Riku has been one of my fav characters since I was a little kid. They definitely have a ton of bonding potential, and maybe Riku can even help Stiles out with the sidekick insecurities he harbors – given how much Riku himself has progressed beyond his initial envy of Sora. (god I love Riku)

Do you want to stop our TDM thread and say that the dream ended there for them before they could try rescuing any of the slaves? That way, we won't have to worry about retconning anything from the TDM into the intro log (because imma def hit Riku up there).

Also, about Steak's chimera choices... AN OX SQUID LMAO??? I have no idea if there is a canon link there, but my god. What a fantastic combo of creatures.

I love Stiles and I'm really sad I kind of fizzled out on the TDM. #Responsibility caught up with me and wouldn't let me go, oops. Sakura and Stiles could both be insecure friends dealing with having insecurities. And maybe Stiles can basically confirm she is, in fact, actually from a JRPG h a h ah.

Hey, no worries! Do you want to say that the dream faded after that initial meeting, or do you want to start fresh? I don't mind either way! I absolutely would love for CR with Sakura though. She's such a cute character, and surprised me with how much I adored her when I played FEF. As for the fourthwalling, if that's something you'd like to avoid I can TOTALLY do so. Stiles is definitely someone who plays RPGs (or used to, when he had the free time), which is why I initially wrote in those comparisons. But I can have him keeping those deductions to himself.

I'm like, one of those rare people in fandom who knows nothing about Voltron (other than its name tbh) but I'm totally game. i would definitely be down for some teen cr here. i'm not sure how much akko can really swing towards the kind of normal stiles is used to since she goes to witch school instead of regular high school, but the kind of daily hijinx she gets up to are fairly normal teen nonsense. so maybe?

also i'm crystal! aside from akko here, i also play ozymandias from fate/grand order. he is also someone stiles can hassle at will since he's p much adopted a gaggle of teens at this point anyway fdhskjfh

Hi crystal! I'm canon blind to both characters, but they sound awesome. Magic doesn't quite exist explicitly in Stiles' world (beyond weird druidic rituals and supernatural creature biology nonsense) – so he will be FASCINATED by the idea of witch school. For a guy who used to be super geeky and into the sci-fi/fantasy trope, her home will sound badass as hell. As for Ozymandias, please adopt Stiles. He 100% needs adult figures in his life.

It was really surprising and super exciting to see a Stiles! I loved him in the show and I would love to play with you and your boy. Stiles is a good kid and I think Alex would find him very endearing. She's definitely more introverted, but I can see her enjoying watching Stiles as he develops in game. I think they could both benefit in terms of certain insecurities.
