Introduction: Hello! My name is Robyn. I am a Chicago native who hightailed it to California a while back because winter is for the birds honestly. I live with my roommates, my cat who will not leave me alone to do this intro, and my roommates' cats who are only leaving me alone rn because they aren't in here. I'm a retail supervisor, which I only say because you'll see me during a vampire time one week (like rn) and then I'll have to go to bed at 7 at night another, hard in these streets. I'm very excited to be here! I love monsters and witches and I've been eyeing this game for a while. Happy to meet all of you!

Character Name: Aerith Gainsborough
Canon: Final Fantasy VII
Appearance: still and gif. No scars (well, one scar), not a lot in the way of muscle, petite. Pretty, soft and dainty on the outside, gremlin woman who will get you involved in a crossdressing infiltration mission on the inside.
Brief: Born to Dr. Gast, a Shinra scientist, and Ilfalna, a woman from a race known as the Cetra, Aerith is half Cetra and thus has the unique ability to speak to, understand, and help the Planet. After the death of her father, she and her mother were held in Shinra captivity as experiments until Aerith was 7, wherein she and Ilfalna escaped to the slums of Midgar. Near death, Ilfalna entrusted Aerith to a human woman named Elmyra, who raised Aerith as her own.

Given her unique powers, Aerith is wise for her age and incredibly intuitive, though she hides this behind the veneer of easygoing bubbliness. Her abilities and her lineage have isolated her from the majority of humanity, and so she is secretly lonely. Nonetheless, she is highly extroverted and good with people — in part because her gift and her personality altogether have given her a near uncanny ability to empathize and understand others. It would have been tragically easy for Aerith to become cold and hardened against humanity and all its failings, but Aerith is kind despite all the odds being against her. She looks ahead rather than behind her, and seeks to make the world a better place than it is. More info is available in her application. If you are a newbie to the world of FFVII, are going to hop into the remake and have somehow avoided spoilers: 1) absolutely incredible feat my guy 2) don't read my app, I don't want to ruin the experience for you!

- Positive cr (she's highly extroverted and outgoing, immensely kind and nurturing, very affable and warm), negative cr (she's stubborn, pushy, kind of a jerk sometimes, cunning, she'll absolutely make fun of you or get you into her hijinks if the situation calls for it, very self-sacrificing which will probably grate, kind of weird in general), I'll take all kinds
- People who are similarly attuned to nature! Or just green thumbs... she's going to want a garden.
- Other people who have felt like outsiders in their original worlds, or feel like outsiders here. Aerith's actually been made pretty isolated by her unique abilities back home, so finding kinship there would be a big deal
- are you half-human/half some kind of species, overall some weird otherwordly being bc if so, hmu

Offering
- Very bubbly, extroverted ray of sunshine. Aerith's vibrant and outgoing, and works fairly well, I think, with more closed-off personalities, particularly people who have emotional walls built up
- She is kind of a tease, an incorrigible flirt, and pushy, so if those are antics you're down for, I'm here for you
- That being said, Aerith is overall a stabilizing presence: she serves as a balance in later points of her canon, and is actually fairly intuitive and wise. She can be very calming when she puts her mind to it.

But, hello! o/ Kadaj has made his way here as a fellow witch closes my eyes and I just wanted to say that I enjoyed their tdm thread with one another and was wondering if you wanted to keep the dynamic of him seeing her as "Mother" or not. This could be carried over from the tdm thread or done all over again in the intro log if you'd prefer.

That sounds very intriguing to me! Bouncing Aerith off of characters who are suspicious of her friendliness is so much fun to me bc while she is 100% genuine, she doesn't go out of her way to convince people she is legit... she likes to keep folks on their toes! I read some of your app and their backstories are so wildly different that I think Aerith would be fascinated just based off of that alone.

So, like, we already tagged on the TDM, but I read your list and wanted to let you know that Leslie feels like an outsider in her original world (very strongly where she lived for most of her life and she worries that it would be too selfish to hope to be treated like a real part of the family with her adoptive family) and has seen the dead (she got pushed out a window by ghost hands to save her life and they booted up her original magic powers, and after she figures out who the hands belonged to she thinks about them pretty often).

Also she could use a big sister figure who isn't terrible in just about every possible way.

Oh, their TDM thread was really cute... I imagine that Aerith would want to know she was alright afterward just out of concern for her safety! I think she'd definitely find kinship in Leslie, and would almost immediately go into big sister mode lol.

oooh i have a dude who has definitely felt the outsider feelings, due to his own canon power of uh, bringing bad luck to everyone around him...rip. he doesn't super particularly like to talk about it alskjdfs but the feelings associated with it are only going to be exacerbated by his monster choice (vampire) and i feel like it's something that could come up over the course of a cr!

other than that her personality seems like p. much the exact kind qrow responds well to so i would be pretty excited to see how it goes :D

My name is Jayne, and I play this idiot here, as well as one XIV OC (poisontippedcure). I’m so stoked to see Aerith here; I’m 75% canon blind on FF7, but she was by far my favorite part of the original game!

If possible, I would love to throw my OC at her! Rose is similarly attuned to nature, and a healer by trade back home. I feel they would work well together.

As a side note, excellent taste in television. I finished the good place yesterday, and I haven’t stopped crying since.

Hi Robyn, my name is Ash! I knew I had to hit you up as soon as I read your points about Aerith in the negative cr section. I'm not trying to shit on fandom, but I so often see people treat Aerith as this perfect, saintly character... So, it's super refreshing to see a player who openly acknowledges her flaws. ANYWAY, I'd love to explore where Aerith and Stiles could go in terms of CR. She'd be such an awesome big sister figure for him. Stiles kind of deals with a similar issue, wrt feeling like an outsider – except for him, it's being the only human in a bunch of ragtag supernatural friends. Also...I think he'd really get into the idea of gardening if taught how to do it. Help him learn how to nurture a lil green life into full bloom, Aerith!

I play Kor here from Tales of Hearts, he's a JRPG Protag, full of optimism and energy and friendship speeches. He's a strong empath, coming from a world where emotions are very important and prevalent in everything, so he's got a strong sense for that kind of thing. He's very much the sort of person who enjoys supporting and building up others because he understands what it's like to feel alone and doesn't want anybody to have to go through that feeling.

So basically, I think he and Aerith would totally get along great as some sort of terrible force of positivity and improving people's lives.
