HANDWAVED CR AND OOC MINGLE MEME

HANDWAVED CR AND OOC MINGLE MEME
(and bonus welcome wagon for newbies!)

Has your character been here for a while now? Are you tired of meeting characters for the first time even though they've actually been sharing a class and/or work space for a month now? Well, here is the solution for you! The Handwaved CR Meme! Instead of stressing out trying to thread with every character you would reasonably encounter right off the bat, here is an opportunity to OOCly discuss and establish casual meetings and connections that have already happened but never had the time or need to be threaded out.

This is best used for things like characters sharing a class in the Coven, or working in the same location, or pursuing the same quests. Or maybe even being neighbors or roommates! Anything where characters have been occupying the same space for a while, but haven't had the opportunity to thread it out yet. Get those first building blocks of CR out of the way, and prepare yourself for more intense threading later!

THE RULES:
  • There are few different subject headers, centered around common activities or locations we can think of. Beneath these headers, you can go ahead and post about what your character is generally doing there and the impression they may give off. The current headers are: Coven Lessons, Workplaces Around the City, Haven Neighbors, Questing Companions, Making a Scene or Shady Deals?.
  • Then, other people react! Reply to people who have posted with how your character would generally engage with their presence, and establish some nice, casual CR. Are you that loudmouth that won't stop talking over people in Evocation class? This is where people can tell you how you make them feel!
  • Post your own subject headers! We're putting up what comes to mind, but if you have other subjects you'd like to mingle over, go ahead and make them a reality.
  • These don't necessarily have to be first meetings, it can also be used to flesh out CR you've established elsewhere.

WELCOME WAGON AND OOC INTRO FOR NEW PLAYERS:
  • For all the things a new character needs please head towards this top-level. OOC Intro for new players and characters and Welcome Wagon for either OOC or IC answers of questions your character would have upon arrival.
  • Due to the rolling acceptances over the past few months, if you joined the game any time during that period and want to introduce or re-introduce yourself, go for it!

Not a Haven Neighbor But! (Elidibus as Ardbert | FFXIV)

Wasn't a category for the rare non-Haven Mirrorbound resident so here is this!

People who live or regularly visit the Western Residential district would have undoubtedly seen 'Ardbert' as a staple presence. Many natives both Witches and Monsters alike in the area would be familiar enough with the man to share very basic information (depending on who asks and how they're asking).

They know he's a Mirrorbound and many would even go out of the way to praise him both because he is a courteous and helpful person and more importantly during the recent events with the kidnappers and the Evergreen Circle, he diligently patrolled the district and likely saved any number of folk from the same fate as the poor Cwyld-infected souls. (As a note there were others but the distinction here is 'Ardbert' also lives in the district and didn't leave them to their own devices during the crisis.)

His contributions and determination to be part of the District (not just another soul crammed in) have paid off. Sure you'd probably find someone willing to take coin for information eventually. But it will also be quickly apparent that a notable majority of the District will close ranks to safeguard 'one of their own'.

So getting information on where he might live (near the river) or how he acts (favorably) is certainly easy enough. But it's also likely to get back to him if anyone comes asking. Even if the information is bought.
