Appearance: a dandy highwayman and later a big birb
Brief: Julian is a self-sacrificing, dramatic doctor who doesn't sleep and runs entirely on black coffee and nervous energy. He's a charmer, a people-person, and would bend over backwards for anyone and everyone...and frequently does. He's also deeply self-depreciating and considers himself a disaster waiting to happen. You can read all about him over yonder.
Seeking/Offering: Want to be swept off your feet, doted on, and protected even if you don't need it? Want to be doctored by dubious means? Need a drinking buddy, or a devotedly loyal friend? Julian is all of these things! He's hard to get negative CR with because he has a lot of ambient love for everyone he meets, though is also prone to dramatics and can sometimes try to hold people at arms length 'for their own good'.

As for CR I'm looking for with him...at the risk of sounding cliché, everything! Hit him up and see if we click! Later down the line I'd really love a poly bond for him, but I'm all about slow burn, so we'll see where his CR goes!

Brief: Omi is a reformed biker gang member with a passion for acting and photography. He's house mom pretty much of the Mankai Company (his acting company) dorms and takes care of everyone. He's fierce to the core, though, and he will mess someone up and resort to his gangster like activities if it comes down to an emergency; be afraid! 99% of the time, he's a sweet precious red bean man who just really wants everyone to be their best self! Also, like, somehow they seriously keep not giving him shirts. I have evidence.

His troupe mate Juza is here, so his well-being will be a priority, but Omi is sweet and friendly and absolutely will befriend your character unless they are Super Mean. Introduction: Hello! This game got me so psyched I revived an ancient crusty character of mine just to play in it. I work as a program analyst for the state, which just means I am drowning in paperwork, meetings, red tape, and databases at all times. Most of my tagging happens in the evenings or weekends, but right now uhh I'm all over the place while working from home... Writing is my main hobby, I do some fanfic on the side. I live with my partner in beautiful Oregon, US, with our two cats.

Character Name: Itachi Uchiha
Canon: Naruto
Appearance: Manga ref and gratuitous fanart (2). He is lean and vaguely vampiric (lmao) and looks like he never grew out of the goth phase. Painted nails?? Fishnet?? Serious demeanor, kind of judgy vibes at times. He has a black Anbu tattoo on his left bicep from when he was a child assassin, as you do in this series. His eyes are also notably black due to the Sharingan's absence.

Brief: Itachi is outwardly cold and aloof and analytical out of necessity for survival, but also due to past trauma. He had a horrific childhood that ended in him choosing to slaughter his family for The Greater Good, except for his younger brother who he loves desperately. Eventually orchestrated his own death. Itachi is a dubiously nice guy; he won't hesitate to murder people if he has to, he just doesn't like doing it and would prefer to torture their minds until they give up ever fighting again (good logic). He's a pacifist at heart, very logical but also very emotional (he was taught to repress this), simultaneously vague and blunt, and somewhat socially oblivious.

He did have a chronic genetic illness (theoretically a respiratory disease) that contributed to his death, however that will be gone for the most part while he's in Aefenglom. His stamina still sucks and he gets tired easily. He's a witch and will eventually be picking up spells parallel to his past abilities without too much trouble (illusion and evocation).

Even though I failed miserably on the tdm, I’m excited to throw Sephiroth at him again. They might not be the best conversationalists (which is hilarious to me) but at least they’ll both avoid small talk and reliably get straight to the point. Also, Seph is always looking for sparring partners to fend off restlessness, so there’s that!

Maybe they’ll weirdly hit it off in the CR department, who knows! Either way, I’m glad I get the opportunity to play with you again!

Introduction: Laugh, I don't know how to do a good self-intro. iRL I do a bunch of science crap but I don't talk about that much. I always have a bunch of original side projects on the go, and sometimes post pictures of mountain hikes/my sweet loaf of a cat, but I keep stuff pretty much on RP/fandom for plurk!

Character Name: Jin Guangyao (Birth name: Meng Yao)
Canon: Mo Dao Zu Shi (LA adaptation: The Untamed). I admit I haven't actually watched the TV version other than a few youtube clips and looking up where a few scenes are to screencap, so don't count on me to know all the differences real well, although I know there are some relevant ones!
Appearance: A useful info page!
Brief: Without getting deep into the trash fire that was his life... Jin Guangyao is kind and gentle and nice-acting overall; he's good at getting things done and is a helpful guy. But he also lies as easily as breathing, is actively manipulative, and has been prone to making really really bad choices when life shits on him. But don't worry too much about that! It's probably fine. Do unto others as they have done unto you... that's how the Golden Rule goes, right?

He's coming in after the end of the novel (ie, dead), so a lot of shit has happened and that's gonna be a lot of localized drama I'm sure.
Seeking/Offering: The usual 'everything', honestly! Give me everything from your kind friends to morally ambiguous pals. He can get along with the righteous for a while but it's a recipe for eventual disaster (which I'm down for too) due to his, errrr, moral flexibility. He'll be anxious to get a Bond quickly for the sake of not losing control, but also generally hides his real feelings, so the idea that someone might feel things through the bond is going to make him anxious... which is an emotion that has prompted a lot of his bad decisions, TBH. My plan right now is to hit him hard with the monster changes for the first few months, so people to help him through that would be fantastic too! Once a little more settled I think it'd be great to get him involved with Council... which might make the people that know him start to side-eye what's going on here, so we'll see, ahaha.

Appearance: Giant robo and his cute avatar form once he gets magitech to power his avatar generator....
Brief: An idealist Decepticon who wanted to fight the corrupted Cybertronian government and bring peace and equality for his race who then became an even worse villain than the corrupted government during the war who then realized he's a massive jerk after the war, felt guilty, dropped everything he's doing, and is trying to make amend by being a legit good guy now. He just want a world where everyone is equal and no more discrimination.

At the front, he might come across as stoic, quiet, and icy. But underneath the frosty exterior, he's an idealist who wishes for equality and a loyal friend anyone could ever find. He genuinely feels guilty over the crimes he's done, although nobody here would recognize him, he will still try to do more good deeds here while improving his crappy social skills.


It's canon that his favorite earth animals are elephants. This is important.

If being a cool robot wasn't enough, he's an empath with super hearings, except that in Aefenglom he only has his super hearings! Which brings up to my permission post for his super hearing. I'll be grateful if you could have a read.

For the small minority who know his canon; he's coming at the end of the Unicron finale after thanks snapping himself.

Seeking

- Friends would be a good start! Although he's still trying to improve being social and making friends thing, he was never lonely before since his casseticons are always with him. Buuut all his friends are dead and aren't here, so. He might come across as a hard sell, but it won't take long before he starts feeling lonely. Just a secret, once he bonds with someone, he'll bond with them hard.

- An extrovert to his introvert counterpart! Drag him out to do and experience fun, dumb things together because god knows this guy need something to be happy about for once. Melt his icy exterior. His friends were super chatty, extrovert-type,

- Witch Mentors! Magic was recently introduced in his universe, but Soundwave never had the chance to learn any magic. So, he's going to be super lost and have zero idea on how to start. Other Newby witches or experience witches are welcome to help him work out on things.

- People good with animals or animal friends! Soundwave has a soft spot for animals. Please let him talk about his love for animals, elephants especially.

Offering

- The loyal friend/big bro! Putting aside his cold fridge, Soundwave is loyal to the people he cares for and he's at his happiest when he could just spend his time around his friends. He won't betray anyone, keep any of his friends protected, and would do anything for them, even die for you. Once he finds a friend, he'd be less reluctant with the whole Bonded thing.

- Sad ex-villain! Wanna bond with a robot with a big ball of sadness, low-key abandonment issue, and guilt? He's your guy. Ever since he genuinely wanting the Decepticon to be a peaceful faction and generally being a good guy, life keeps throwing crap at him one after another. He's a surprisingly good boy despite the things he's done in the past.

- Spy/Info-gathering type! It's what he does during the war, and kinda still do when he teams up with Optimus Prime. Once he got his bearing together, he's gonna read up anything he can about this world

Because his miniature sworn brother slowly poisoned him with music. He speaks loudly and carries a large sword, because why would you speak softly, then no one can hear your large sword??? For real, he's a serious man with big stern-dad energy, prone to anger, but also a pretty upstanding guy who is honest, straight-forward and fair. His main interests are swordplay and justice along with raising his younger brother. He's coming in in a pretty bad state and will probably get immediately restrained and whisked off to the infirmary, because he was kind of mid-qi deviation at the time, so!

Brief: Theseus is the older brother of Newt Scamander, some loser that's obsessed with beasts. He's a WWI war hero and the Head Auror of the British Ministry of Magic and he's pretty much been the golden child of the Scamander family for the longest time. But past all that, he's honestly a really nice guy that cares a lot about his family, even if he's sometimes a bit inflexible about his own beliefs and such.

He's actually returning to Aefenglom! On his previous stay, he was a Witch, but I've made him a harpy this time around. He'll have all his memories, so I'm more than happy to continue any past CR. 8) And because of his change to monster, he's going to be more salty and more temperamental, because of the harpy's general influence and his own temper flaring. He'll definitely need all the help with this...

Seeking/Offering: Theseus used to be a Witch and he's a powerful wizard in his own canon, so he can probably relate to magic people pretty well, despite his own change to harpy. Which being said, I'd love to have CR with people who also had a hard time accepting the change or conversely, people who accepted the monster change rather easily. Fellow harpy characters are also v good...

Other than that, I'm always down for other soldier characters and people who similarly care about their siblings or have really complex relationships with them. But really, any and all CR is definitely welcome!

Brief: Yosuke is a really big dumbass in a group full of dumbasses in a game that's basically Scooby-Doo with actual magic and his Persona is really stupid looking but I love it (it's a disco ninja frog that evolves into a robot super sentai thing and then to an Afro robot super sentai. I mean. /gestures). In all seriousness, Yosuke is a teen to who often seen as too kind, self-deprecating (listen to how often he refers to himself as a disappointment), and is aware that his actions tend to have karmic results because he has either foot-in-mouth syndrome, is a bit of a perv, was pretty homophobic to one of the guys (he got better), and (as per his Shadow) tried too hard to get people to like him because he was terrified of being alone. He's grown from that and is deep down, a good boy who wants to keep his friends close and not be alone.
Seeking/Offering: Offering a dumb clumsy teen who is so far into the closet he's in Narnia (I'm not making this up, Atlus cut his romance option in his social link but left a lot of his suggestive lines that he says to the protagonist in the games lol), a dumb clumsy teen who is actually really good at customer service, observant, and will generally do anything to make others happy because he likes making his friends happy. Appearance: Tall (6'3" if you need numbers), with dark hair and pale purple eyes. Kind of noodly, despite being so tall. Tries to look as put together and competent as possible but does not always succeed.
Brief: A medium who grew up with the desire to help people - or, more specifically, the desire to help ghosts. They threw themself into ghost busting (for lack of a better term) as a teenager, before eventually realizing that with a better understanding of the human psyche they might be more successful at helping the really dangerous ghosts. So now they have a psychology degree and a job as a ghost therapist and, apparently, a tendency of getting themself into trouble. They don't mind too much, though, because they're a bleeding heart who wants to Help People As Much As Possible, even if it's a danger to their health. They may or may not have had a few close calls, who can say.
Seeking/Offering: If anyone wants a more mellow, calming presence Bailey is a pretty good pick! While, yeah, they can get drawn along into shenanigans and aren't serious 100% of the time, they're pretty understanding and kind.

What I want, though, is for someone to drag Bailey into trouble. I'm a simple person with simple wants.

Shu has a soft spot for children and building resistance movements.

Will Henry is the son of James Henry, the assistant to the Monstrumologst, Dr. Pellinore Warthrop. When James is infected by a particular parasite while in the line of duty, he and his wife die in a fire related to it. At age 11, Will Henry is left orphaned, also infected, and in the care of Dr. Warthrop.

In his father, the parasite caused spontaneous combustion after weeks of illness and painful sores. In Will, the colony stabilizes, instead granting him 'immortality'. It's claimed he lived to be over a hundred years old, retaining his youth for decades. That doesn't really matter.

Living in the care of Dr. Warthrop is cold. The doctor is neglectful in his depressions and emotionally abusive in his mania. His mood swings revolve around how important to the world he feels at any given time, and what makes him feel most important of all is the study of monstrumology. This is the study of 'aberrant biology', aka the real and biologically fascinating monsters of the world. He enlists Will Henry as his errand boy and general assistant in dissecting them in the basement.

Sometimes they go afield to hunt and research these dangerous creatures. Their 'adventures' are grim, and mostly leave a trail of dead bodies behind them.

Forced to flee her sheltered life, she sought the guidance of the gods and had to go hunting for four ancient guardians destined to protect her. Along the way, she has to face many unpleasant truths about the life she'd thought was so safe and good and the reality and consequences of life outside her father's palace. She picks up a bow to learn to protect those she cherishes and sets out to reshape a nation for the better and protect it from those who want to tear it to pieces.

Also, she's showing up with a squirrel friend, Ao, who tends to ride around on her shoulder or head at any given time.

ALL THE THINGS! Yona is from a fairly late point in her ongoing manga canon here and has become much more pragmatic and mature than when she started out on her adventure. She's tactical and measured, but an excellent judge of character and seeing to the heart of matters. But she can also be incredibly awkward in situations she's never encountered before if they catch her enough off-guard. I'm looking for any and all kinds of CR for her. As she comes from a kingdom that is very much based on Fantasy Korea, there's going to be a lot she doesn't understand from the more modern settings.

Also, she might ping the radars of dragon-aligned folks or those who can sense things about souls since she's apparently an old dragon god's soul reincarnated. It definitely affects those in her kingdom who would have recognized such a thing, calling to some of them even across great distances, but she is mostly unaware of it happening herself and not something she actively does.

Appearance: 1, 2, 3. Couple of notes: A2 is an android, and the seams/most of the black areas of her body are actually severe damage to her skin/outer frame. Here is a good reference of her damage. As she is Post ending E, despite some of her icons, she will be arriving with long hair!
Brief: Her info post! A2 is a fugitive android from a wartorn Earth bereft of humans, where a battle between machine lifeforms and androids (like herself) has been raging for centuries. Initially, she is driven almost entirely by a desire for revenge and to destroy herself, but is infused with a sense of purpose when she's given 2B's final request to protect 9S. Because she is from a Yoko Taro game, this goes about as well as one might expect.

A2 is surly, impatient, violent and blunt due to wartime trauma and just her personality, but on the inside she is very sensitive, empathetic and gentle. If you give her a task to do and are nice to her she'll die for you. She has a kneejerk dislike of "machines," or robots who don't appear human in form, and is programmed to love and obey humans, though this coding has never really been put to the test, as she's never met a human. Until now I guess!

Lastly, she has arrived with her Tactical Support Pod, Pod 042, who will on occasion pop up in her threads to interject. If this bothers you, please drop me a note and I will leave him out of things.

In all seriousness, A2 is a good character for negative cr (she's combative, rude, distrustful, not big on talking, doesn't know how to function in a society where something isn't trying to kill her at all times) and slow-burn, gradual positive cr (she's kind, actually a good person deep down, eager to please and be of use, lonely, has a lot of trouble even recognizing that she deserves anything) Over time I would like her to form connections with others and get a sense of... personhood and humanity. She is so depersonalized/dehumanized that she doesn't have any sense of her needs, wants or desires, so if anyone is curious about that, hmu.

In addition, as she is a non-organic (albeit a very humanlike one — she can bleed, for example), her physical changes as a Turnskin will mean that she's going to be going through a lot of things she's never had to deal with, to put it euphemistically. I want her to get a pack of some kind and hit the ground running in terms of getting her amiable enough cr since she takes a while to warm up and will sooner go feral than ask for help.

Introduction: I'm totally new here! This game has such a cool premise and I've had my eye on it for months, and I'm so glad to be joining! This is Simon, my longtime main from World of Warcraft. He's a witch (hoping to specialize him in protection and healing magic) but I'm also eager to play a monster at some point too!

Giant, musclebound mountain of a bro. PB is Cheyenne Jackson. Here is a decent representation of what his armor style is like, when he's wearing it.
Brief: Simon is a deeply pious paladin who longs for nothing more than to be the perfect, righteous, pure-souled Lawful Good archetype that he's convinced every other paladin in the world pulls off without effort. Unfortunately, he is human, and paladin vows suck. He tries desperately hard nonetheless, and he gets the big stuff right 90% of the time, but he has very little willpower to resist ordinary human weaknesses like wanderlust and libido and pettiness. He lives in a constant state of anxiety and self-doubt about his own worthiness, but at heart, he's a kind soul and he just wants to make the world better for everyone else in it.
Seeking/Offering:

--Experienced Witches to show him the magical ropes a little more. He'll be really eager to learn whatever he can, but it'll take a while for him to think of himself as someone who can learn magic (as opposed to being divinely granted it whenever he prays, even though the difference is not as stark as he thinks it is) and he'll want help.
--Other very religious people to talk God Shop with. He just really likes learning about other belief systems, and he's going to feel really adrift and want some kind of spiritual comfort from like-minded people.

--On the "offering" front:
-----a giant armored hulk of a dude who wants nothing more than to put his giantness between smaller people and anything trying to hurt them
-----a new-minted Witch seeking Monsters to love (both in the traditional Bonding sense, and because he's an irrepressible xenophile who's going to think they're awesome)
-----an amateur mechanic who really likes fixing and tinkering with stuff and will want to take a look at any mechanical stuff anyone has
-----a super loud baritone voice for any singing needs you might have?

Oooo. So, Petra is from a little island whose religion is basically spirit/nature worship. Everything in nature has a spirit etc. She'd love to get to know him and talk about differences etc
