Hate is a strong word. Despise is closer to how Berserker feels about Caren now. Even though what they experienced in Dorchacht was just part of the dream, it was no less real to him. He doesn't quite consider her an enemy, just someone he refuses to talk to again. Maybe under extraordinary circumstances or maybe when he feels like being an absolute petty shit just to say MY NAME ISN'T CÚ CHULAINN ANYMORE AND I'M NOT LANCER. We'll see!!

Berserker kind of resents how good Enkidu is at calming him. He has a grudging respect because of their refusal to back down when he's being a big ol' fussy dragon. He can see how they were the ones to tame someone like Gilgamesh and anyone capable of doing that is worthy of respecting.

Though he won't admit it, he also enjoys their company to some degree. As much as he can enjoy something, anyway.

MY GOODNESS, HOW THESE TWO HAVE DEVELOPED!! Berserker has a respect for her. While he doesn't know the kind of life she led before coming here, he knows it wasn't a pleasant one. He feels like she needs to move past whatever she's suffered if she wants to truly grow and will keep pushing her in that direction. She's also the reason he's started to enforce boundaries with other people, a giant step forward in removing himself from his own past and circumstances.

While she may not be strong in the physical sense, she has a strength of spirit that even he can see and he can respect that. Whether she knows it or not, Alex is important to him. Their friendship is an extremely strange one and I'm excited to see where it goes!

THESE TWO IDIOTS, OH MY GOD. They have come so far since Berserker killed him in that dream. Without Caster, it's unlikely he would have grown quite as much as he has. He no longer resents his lighter side nor his own existence. Caster helped him find value in himself and even when they were at each other's throats, he made Berserker realize that he really did care about someone now.

Now they're on good terms and Caster did a druid thing and named him?? How did they get here? I dunno, it's incredible, and I'm excited for more.

Maria enjoys Zelda. Zelda is smart, logical, practical, and healthily paranoid. Though she recognizes that she takes things to a further extreme than Zelda does, she enjoys the fact they can both sit and sip wine and judge people.
