HANDWAVED CR AND MINGLE MEME
Has your character been here for a while now? Are you tired of meeting characters for the first time even though they've been actually sharing a class and/or work space for a month now? Well, here is the solution for you! The Handwaved CR Meme! Instead of stressing out trying to thread with every character you would reasonably encounter right off the bat, here is an opportunity to OOCly discuss and establish casual meetings and connections that have already happened but never had the time or need to be threaded out.

This is best used for things like characters sharing a class in the Coven, or working in the same location, or pursuing the same quests. Or maybe even being roomates! Anything where characters have been occupying the same space for the last while, but haven't had the opportunity to thread it out yet. Get those first building blocks of CR out of the way, and prepare yourself for more intense threading later.

THE RULES:

• I'm going to start off by posting some different subject headers, centered around common activities or locations I can think of. Beneath these headers, you can go ahead and post about what your character is generally doing there and the impression they may give off.
• Then, other people react! Reply to people who have posted with how your character would generally engage with their presence, and establish some nice, casual CR. Are you that loudmouth that won't stop talking over people in Evocation class? This is where people can tell you how you make them feel!
• Post your own subject headers! I'm just putting up what comes to mind, but if you have other subjects you'd like to mingle over, go ahead and make them a reality.
• These don't necessarily have to be first meetings, it can also be used to flesh out CR you've established elsewhere.

Zelda is at the Coven at least four out of seven days of the week, and honestly probably spends more time there than that because what the fuck is a hobby, sounds like something that will get in the way of Getting Stuff Done.

The formal classes she attends right now are Divination, Illusion, Abjuration, and Evocation; she's not gonna turn her nose up at picking up a thing or two from the other schools of magic, but those are the ones she's primarily interested in. Of note she is absolutely that asshole in class that won't stop asking questions, and she shows a definite interest in the theory behind aef-verse magic beyond just the practice of it. How absolute are events foretold by divination? How is it that mid-level healing falls under Abjuration but higher levels fall under Evocation? How well can you apply the theory you learn from one school to another? All sorts of nonsense like that.

She's basically a homeschool kid okay she doesn't know how big classes work.

She is Very Studious, and is generally more likely to keep to herself than go out of her way to socialize with others. However, if she sees someone actively practicing their magic, she might ask to join them, or offer tips if she feels like she can help. She's nice and polite, if kinda awkward and overly formal a lot of time. She's learning how to people, be gentle.

Evocation is the class they share, and since Caster already kinda knows her (from the "sleeping in other beds" saga), he would approach her for magic practice, casual chat (and probably food sharing). I think it would be okay for them to exchange names? (Caster is still going as Caster, but that might change in the near future)

He's one hand really admiring her curiosity and the in-depth questions she asks, and that's something he would definitely tell her. But, on the other hand, he is that dude to be found napping on classes. (he goes to check other classes at random, so an occasional visit at Divination and Illusion might end with him sleeping, hoods are convenient for that.. he is far more dedicated with Evocation. And rune research but that's in library)

Name sharing is fine! Her name's on that network post anyway, as is Nessie calling her 'Princess,' so.

She's still probably a little defensive sometimes and will definitely think he's making fun of her for asking so many questions at least once when he praises her for it. That said she's much more open talking about magic stuff in general and figuring out how things work. She might be annoyed to find him sleeping in class sometimes but she won't make it her responsibility to make sure he pays attention yet.

That's fine, he is probably making fun at her at times, so it is natural to be suspicious of genuine praise. But yeah, despite his lazy demeanor he at least seems dedicated to some parts of the magic lessons. He might ignore the theory, but at least he's reliable in practicing and exercises???

She could also find him being more studious about the runes (and folk tales) if you wanna, as this is something that is to come up soonish.
