HANDWAVED CR AND MINGLE MEME
Has your character been here for a while now? Are you tired of meeting characters for the first time even though they've been actually sharing a class and/or work space for a month now? Well, here is the solution for you! The Handwaved CR Meme! Instead of stressing out trying to thread with every character you would reasonably encounter right off the bat, here is an opportunity to OOCly discuss and establish casual meetings and connections that have already happened but never had the time or need to be threaded out.

This is best used for things like characters sharing a class in the Coven, or working in the same location, or pursuing the same quests. Or maybe even being roomates! Anything where characters have been occupying the same space for the last while, but haven't had the opportunity to thread it out yet. Get those first building blocks of CR out of the way, and prepare yourself for more intense threading later.

THE RULES:

• I'm going to start off by posting some different subject headers, centered around common activities or locations I can think of. Beneath these headers, you can go ahead and post about what your character is generally doing there and the impression they may give off.
• Then, other people react! Reply to people who have posted with how your character would generally engage with their presence, and establish some nice, casual CR. Are you that loudmouth that won't stop talking over people in Evocation class? This is where people can tell you how you make them feel!
• Post your own subject headers! I'm just putting up what comes to mind, but if you have other subjects you'd like to mingle over, go ahead and make them a reality.
• These don't necessarily have to be first meetings, it can also be used to flesh out CR you've established elsewhere.

L is a detailed and meticulous person, so he does well at his work here and has learned effectively on the job. He works part-time so he can devote more time to his classes, since beyond the few sets of clothing he's purchased and the occasional meal he doesn't have many expenses (squatting in the barracks is dirt cheap, emphasis on the dirt.) He tends to avoid interaction with customers, but probably has some quiet and casual rapport with his coworkers. He's shared that his name is Linden Tailor and that he was a student of criminal justice in his own world, interested in a law enforcement career. He would express that his eventual ambition is to work for Parliament once his magic skills are more developed. This is a VERY consistent story.

Caster is putting most hours into runetchers this month, and since he's That Type Of Guy Who Just Pokes At People, he would definitely try to chat with L. Maybe share some lunch, and ask few questions, since those ambitions sound really interesting! Also bad jokes are likely. He's generally good in getting a feel if it's a right moment to talk or if it's not (though knowing, doesn't mean he will always react accordingly)

Since they both seem to have a thing for sitting at Coven's library at weird hours, it's entirely possible that Caster spotted L there first, and sharing a job is just a convenient excuse to chat (no speaking in the library). I imagine they would probably share their "names' (and Caster isn't going to deny that his name isn't really a name)

Oh my gosh, I am shamelessly thirsty for CR with That Type Of Guy Who Just Pokes At People. I'm all about this. Feeding him is usually a pretty good way to get him to lower his guard a little bit (especially if he has the benefit of seeing another person eating the same food to assuage his fears of being poisoned, that helps majorly.) L's sense of humor is elusive but he seems to appreciate plays on words and puns, so those are a pretty sure bet for getting a smile out of him (even if they're lame; what matters and works for him is that they're not totally predictable.)

I'd love to thread something soon if you're down for it since this sounds like fascinating CR right out of the starting gate and I really enjoy playing these types of dynamics. I don't mind backtagging if you have a toplevel up somewhere I could hit, or we could plan something for July if that's better for you? I'm on discord at ladylazarus#2235 and always down to plot.

Caster is good in either shrugging off abrasive personalities or socializing even with the wallflower types so I am total game for a thread or something. I want to see how it goes live.

And L can totally notice that food Caster has is not made by him (but by Archer). Also who needs to use real names anyway.

I dont have a June top level because I was hiatus for most of the month, but I can hit yours (if you have one), hit your inbox for some general library/runetchers stuff (Caster is involved in some investigation related to that, since Ogham runes are native to his times, and he would welcome someone on that), or wait for upcoming event.

here is my June catchall, and I also have a toplevel for the event Part One here! I tried to get a good variety of locations and scenarios and there are of course wildcard prompts. Inbox is absolutely an option, too. Definitely hit me up because this is kind of what I need today (or in the near future lol, no pressure.) Upcoming event stuff is also cool but I'd really like to do something onscreen with them just to kind of get a feel for their dynamic first!

Considering Archer also frequently makes gifts of bentos and food for L, I think he would definitely notice that Archer's the one making Caster's food, and since he and Archer have both handwaved AND onscreen CR that could be an interesting connection to discuss. It's so great when you reach that point in the game where it's not just a string of first conversations any longer, and you actually get to meet people who have also met people that you know and gossip about it.

Gosssssssssssip... that is very possible to happen. You'd think that an ancient Celt wouldn't be such a massive gossip, but here we are (on the other hand, what else were bard stories if not flourished gossip)

Also IDK if you want to have L piece Caster's identity over time (he's a romanticized version of Irish mythological figure) or/and think he's some kind of weird historical soulbonder I'm always open for that too.
