Special Fourth Wall EMP!

Happy one-year anniversary, Aefenglom! In honor of this special occasion and to make up for delaying our application round, this month we are having a Fourth Wall Event, open to all who want to try out a character in the setting. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Keep in mind that for this Fourth Wall, characters who would not normally be appable will be allowed, except for CRAU, and with the caveat of "be considerate to each other" with regards to doubles, etc. Otherwise, have fun!

Feel free to use this post for characters you'd like to see, or to float characters you might want to bring, make plans with people who aren't already part of the game, etc! (The CR Meme on the 3rd will be for current players/characters. Fourth wall guests should use this instead.)

Fourth wall characters will arrive through various mundane mirrors throughout Aefenglom after a little mishap at the Looking-Glass House. This means that yes, you might stumble out of someone's bathroom mirror unexpectedly, sorry about that! Once here, everyone will begin accelerated transformations into Monsters or Witches, but unfortunately, their presence here is not so tied down as proper Mirrorbound, and by June 1st, they will all vanish back into the mirrors around the city. ICly they will know their stay is tentative, but no one will know exactly when they'll disappear.

Still, that's plenty of time to explore a little, or reunite with old friends.

Aefenglom is a sex-friendly, panfandom fantasy game, set in the post-apocalyptic world of Geardagas. Character choices can affect overarching plot, and the characters' ultimate goal will be to help rebalance the world by stopping the growth of the Cwyld, a magical blight infecting both the land and inhabitants living in places left unprotected. There are many things to learn about the world and how it came to be along the way that will help in discovering both the cause of the Cwyld and how to get home.

Possibly Bringing: Vaea, from the Dragon Age Comics (Knight Errant/Deception/Blue Wraith) by Dark Horse, and one scene in one story in Tevinter Nights. I already play Felix Hugo Fraldarius in game, so welcome to the "Characters Who Own the Same Damn Cloak" show!

Tell Us More: First ever elven squire in all of Ferelden, parkour master, talented thief - what's not to love? Vaea has recently found herself an agent of the (formally disbanded, technically still operating in the shadows) Inquisition, trying to track down a stolen red lyrium artifact in Tevinter that may or may not be the Actual Red Lyrium Idol, if all the little intersecting plot points in Tevinter Nights are any kind of a hint. As a note, Vaea's background does contain spoilers for all things Dragon Age that take place after the end of DAI and Trespasser, so tread with caution!

Choice: Witch! I already play a Monster in game, and Vaea being a city elf with no magic and Thedas having slightly weird views on it, I think it'd be interesting to mess around with. Plus, being as she's working in direct conflict with a faction whose stated goal in canon is to cause an apocalypse to restore the world to a state where All Elves Have Magic by Birthright this would be, well, awkward.

Basic Plans: Nothing too solid yet, just voicetesting, messing around with magic and the setting, who knows! Vaea would have some, uh, opinions about the people living outside the walls with no protection - considering the alienage she grew up in outside Edgehall was in almost an identical situation after the fifth blight. sucks!!

Anything Else: I'll have to gauge how much time I have to commit to bringing her in for this event before I make any concrete plans (and put up some proper info pages for her) but this is a tentative notice that I might be interested in playing around with her in the setting. No plans to app at present, but she's a character I love and I think she'd be a neat fit!
