Special Fourth Wall EMP!

Happy one-year anniversary, Aefenglom! In honor of this special occasion and to make up for delaying our application round, this month we are having a Fourth Wall Event, open to all who want to try out a character in the setting. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Keep in mind that for this Fourth Wall, characters who would not normally be appable will be allowed, except for CRAU, and with the caveat of "be considerate to each other" with regards to doubles, etc. Otherwise, have fun!

Feel free to use this post for characters you'd like to see, or to float characters you might want to bring, make plans with people who aren't already part of the game, etc! (The CR Meme on the 3rd will be for current players/characters. Fourth wall guests should use this instead.)

Fourth wall characters will arrive through various mundane mirrors throughout Aefenglom after a little mishap at the Looking-Glass House. This means that yes, you might stumble out of someone's bathroom mirror unexpectedly, sorry about that! Once here, everyone will begin accelerated transformations into Monsters or Witches, but unfortunately, their presence here is not so tied down as proper Mirrorbound, and by June 1st, they will all vanish back into the mirrors around the city. ICly they will know their stay is tentative, but no one will know exactly when they'll disappear.

Still, that's plenty of time to explore a little, or reunite with old friends.

Aefenglom is a sex-friendly, panfandom fantasy game, set in the post-apocalyptic world of Geardagas. Character choices can affect overarching plot, and the characters' ultimate goal will be to help rebalance the world by stopping the growth of the Cwyld, a magical blight infecting both the land and inhabitants living in places left unprotected. There are many things to learn about the world and how it came to be along the way that will help in discovering both the cause of the Cwyld and how to get home.

Tell Us More: An awkward weirdo teenager who has gone through a lot of hardships that no average teenager probably should have gone through. He's a good guy though and tries to generally be mindful of others and has been growing to really embrace being a wolf and who he is. He's got a herbivore fetish. He's really weird and bad at socializing, but he's earnest and polite.
Choice: Witch or Chimera. Him being a Monster is less appealing because he does a pretty good job living as a carnivore so Chimera would probably to show off his mixed blood. Witch just seems more hilarious because an idiot with magic is asking for trouble.
Basic Plans: I'd just like to see how he handles being in Aefenglom. I think people are really gonna throw him off given that he comes from a world of animals.
Anything Else: I'll probably be using anime icons out of convenience of finding them at the time. He would be from manga though.

Possibly Bringing: Haurchefant | FFXIV
Tell Us More: Everyone's favorite dead elf who has a thing for WoLs. He has a very different mindset to most of his Ishgardian peers and opens his arms widely to those that pass Dragonhead. He's a chivalric knight who smiled till the end.
Choice: Dragon seems too on the nose, honestly. I haven't really considered it, so I'd have to think about it. Maybe Witch or Fae.
Basic Plans: Hugs and hot chocolate. I'm sure he'd love Aefenglom if hugely to hear all the adventures he can hear that others have gone through.
Anything Else: :) A smile better suits a hero... :)

Tbh I have a few FGO muses and maybe other FFXIVs too. Deciding is very hard.

I'll be honest that seeing Louis in Aef was probably a huge factor to me finally picking the series up (I had seen it around some, but not enough of my social media talked about it). I watched the anime a few months ago and wanted to read and catch up, but only recently took the time for it.

I had no idea what to expect with all the characters (Louis was surprise when you have 0 idea of what anyone would be like LMAO) but Legoshi (unfortunately) hits all my boxes for the type of characters I love to RP. I hate him. o|-

I loveeee how their relationship had developed. It was so good to see them grow. Also it's fine. IT'S OK. HE HAS THIS (no he doesn't).

God I will be equally sad, but it definitely feels like it's coming to a close and I definitely prefer a series ending well than dragging on. And man do I look forward to seeing the anime adaptation continuing.

I still haven't actually fully decided. Witch sounds fun for him, but I was also considering Chimera where he has Komodo Dragon, Dwarf Rabbit, and Red Deer traits mixed with his Grey Wolf appearance just also sounds...Good. Just taking attributes from people close to him cuz I am a sentimental fool.

as long as it's not like, the lone tall rabbit chimera because i still have fever dreams of it. a motley mix of his background and also his favourite herbivores is much cuter.

i know i'm at an impasse between fae and witch myself because both do offer great potential, but the good thing about the 4th wall is it's like a longer, more dynamic test drive!

I've already brainstormed a bit of where his changes would be. I also already play a Witch ingame, so I feel like I'd get bored playing a second Witch during Fourth Wall (and I don't think I have enough brain cells to pull too many people out for this).

I think Fae would be cute, but I also like the idea of Witch. Not that it matters for fourth wall, but for a more serious arc, I think Haru becoming a strong witch would be so great. She has spent her entire life feeling like prey and knowing she's small and physically weak due to biology that her being a witch and suddenly being able to do more would be quite interesting I think. Fae isn't weak by any means, but they're more in danger to the Cwyld and I just love the idea of Haru being a fiercely strong Witch in the making despite her size and her physicality would be fun.

At the very least, I think honing her skills would give her a feeling of safety or relief that she can do more to protect Louis and Legoshi where she probably felt like a damsel in distress watching behind them before.

Ahhh I've been rolling around a bit over their thread. I'm not particularly familiar with Fatal Frame other than brief reads through wikis, but I really enjoy their thread for now. It's really cute ;_;

I'm so glad that you've decided to pick it up! Beastars is really good (in my opinion) and my biggest regret is not getting into it sooner! I am also super chuffed since Legoshi is very new and I definitely have new muse jitters with him. Thank you!

That’s okay Fatal Frame is a preeetty obscure series so I’d be honestly way more shocked if you’d known it LMAO At least... Sae is sane right now so she’s not a bad first run-in with humans as it could have been.....

I’m only like ?? 4 chapters in but its really interesting. I went and was looking everything up to try and understand what was happening Before going in and i feel like it made no difference I DIDN’T KNOW ANY MORE THAN I DID BEFORE LMAO which is great and I’m very amused.

A good friend in high school played a little of it when I was over before, but it's less about Fatal Frame being a lesser known game (I know of it), but that I'm a weenie and visually consuming horror content is hard for me. I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE HAVING TO TAKE PICTURES OF THINGS. I'm big baby.

I very much enjoy it and I was not prepared how crazy it got SO PLEASE JUST ENJOY THE RIDE.
