Special Fourth Wall EMP!

Happy one-year anniversary, Aefenglom! In honor of this special occasion and to make up for delaying our application round, this month we are having a Fourth Wall Event, open to all who want to try out a character in the setting. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Keep in mind that for this Fourth Wall, characters who would not normally be appable will be allowed, except for CRAU, and with the caveat of "be considerate to each other" with regards to doubles, etc. Otherwise, have fun!

Feel free to use this post for characters you'd like to see, or to float characters you might want to bring, make plans with people who aren't already part of the game, etc! (The CR Meme on the 3rd will be for current players/characters. Fourth wall guests should use this instead.)

Fourth wall characters will arrive through various mundane mirrors throughout Aefenglom after a little mishap at the Looking-Glass House. This means that yes, you might stumble out of someone's bathroom mirror unexpectedly, sorry about that! Once here, everyone will begin accelerated transformations into Monsters or Witches, but unfortunately, their presence here is not so tied down as proper Mirrorbound, and by June 1st, they will all vanish back into the mirrors around the city. ICly they will know their stay is tentative, but no one will know exactly when they'll disappear.

Still, that's plenty of time to explore a little, or reunite with old friends.

Aefenglom is a sex-friendly, panfandom fantasy game, set in the post-apocalyptic world of Geardagas. Character choices can affect overarching plot, and the characters' ultimate goal will be to help rebalance the world by stopping the growth of the Cwyld, a magical blight infecting both the land and inhabitants living in places left unprotected. There are many things to learn about the world and how it came to be along the way that will help in discovering both the cause of the Cwyld and how to get home.

Possibly Bringing: Sae Kurosawa from Fatal Frame II: Deep Crimson Butterfly
Tell Us More: Sae is the main antagonist of the game who deeply adore her twin sister Yae. Thanks to a ritual sacrifice gone wrong, Sae came back a vengeful spirit to slaughter her entire village and curse it deeply, plunging it into never-ending darkness. Anyone who wanders the woods near-by and strays too far off the path gets spirited away to the village, which replays the last couple days of the village up to the ritual, and she forces the people to participate in it, hoping it’ll go correctly and free everyone.

But she’s not a bad person! A little crazy and definitely traumatized after hundreds of years of darkness and being a corrupted spirit, but like...she’s nice! Just sheltered and shy without her super dark powers backing her up.
Choice: Monster, a fae!
Basic Plans: She’s going to grow red butterfly wings at some point and promptly be Greatly Upset about it (the ritual was supposed to “turn her soul into a butterfly” for when it goes up to the Heavens to appease the gods, but since her ritual failed she didn’t get to have that...)

Also anyone who’s kind to her, once she figures out how to do it, will get tons of blessed trinkets and tokens from her to get random boons/blessings/etc.

However be warned bc if you’re repeatedly kind to her, she most likely WILL develop jealous and mild yandere tendencies. She’s never really had friends outside her twin sister before, so she doesn’t know how to make friends with someone and definitely doesn’t know nor like the idea of sharing, at all, ever.
Anything Else: I’m planning on apping! I’ve made sure my app is completely saved and won’t disappear on me when i try to submit it this time lmao...

I’m down for anyone who threaded with her on the TDM to recognize her from the shared dream and she’ll likely do the same if you want! o7

i'm only passingly familiar with fatal frame but hello i also play a slightly-murderous traumatized older twin ghost. he could probably bother sae either by being obnoxious or possibly even bond over trying to save their sinful undead souls idek?!

IT'S COOL he's from the manga/show toilet-bound hanako-kun (he haunts...... a bathroom....), he's more modern than her and DEFINITELY has less body count but i'm curious about ghosts talking afterlives at each other and he's pretty friendly especially to girls!! warning that he might try to flirt with her oh god. i've thought about apping him as a witch so that he could continue being ghosty but come to think of it do undead charas even stay dead, i totally forgot to check /runs to look
