Special Fourth Wall EMP!

Happy one-year anniversary, Aefenglom! In honor of this special occasion and to make up for delaying our application round, this month we are having a Fourth Wall Event, open to all who want to try out a character in the setting. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Keep in mind that for this Fourth Wall, characters who would not normally be appable will be allowed, except for CRAU, and with the caveat of "be considerate to each other" with regards to doubles, etc. Otherwise, have fun!

Feel free to use this post for characters you'd like to see, or to float characters you might want to bring, make plans with people who aren't already part of the game, etc! (The CR Meme on the 3rd will be for current players/characters. Fourth wall guests should use this instead.)

Fourth wall characters will arrive through various mundane mirrors throughout Aefenglom after a little mishap at the Looking-Glass House. This means that yes, you might stumble out of someone's bathroom mirror unexpectedly, sorry about that! Once here, everyone will begin accelerated transformations into Monsters or Witches, but unfortunately, their presence here is not so tied down as proper Mirrorbound, and by June 1st, they will all vanish back into the mirrors around the city. ICly they will know their stay is tentative, but no one will know exactly when they'll disappear.

Still, that's plenty of time to explore a little, or reunite with old friends.

Aefenglom is a sex-friendly, panfandom fantasy game, set in the post-apocalyptic world of Geardagas. Character choices can affect overarching plot, and the characters' ultimate goal will be to help rebalance the world by stopping the growth of the Cwyld, a magical blight infecting both the land and inhabitants living in places left unprotected. There are many things to learn about the world and how it came to be along the way that will help in discovering both the cause of the Cwyld and how to get home.

Taken Characters: Papyrus, Mettaton, Alphys
Wanted: EVERYONE honestly, with special requests for Undyne, Sans, and Blooky. But there's a lot of characters to love, and a lot our characters are missing, so go ahead and bring anyone you like. Our favorite humans, Asgore, Catty and Bratty, Flowey, Toriel, the various Snowdin dogs, Burgerpants... (on second thought, maybe not BP. Shoving him at Puca!Mettaton would be hilarious but terrible.)

We're down for anyone from the cast, even dopplegangers of our taken characters! We're all okay with doubles, in case you have a skeleton, robot, or lizard scientist you'd like to bring instead. Who isn't curious how things might have gone, in a different timeline...? Or even just being face to face with their past selves, even more than our shared dream event put them through?

These three have all been here a good few months, now monsters twice over with varying amounts of unlikely fur, and they've all gone through most or all of their physical changes.

Mettaton and Alphys are from the true pacifist ending, so they remember all things friendship and reaching the surface, so getting kidnapped sort of interrupted their happily ever afters.

Papyrus is from the exiled queen / empress Undyne ending, and he's been here the longest - getting kidnapped by a mirror wasn't the worst, since it got him out of the militarized underground, but he misses his brother and his first friend.

That's a point. There's a fair amount of headcanon involved in any UT, but anything in the [redacted] timeframe gets very much so

There are unfortunately a number of rude humans around, but being a monster for a bit would be a change of pace

Papyrus probably knows only bits and pieces about Chara - the outline of the historical version of what happened, but also small anecdotes from Toriel. I don't think he'd know what they look like, though

Given that my interpretation of them has them doing their best to be a sort of, ahem, mirror of yourself (what's that, partner? don't like what you see at the end of a no mercy run? strange...) I think they'd be perfectly fine with the pseudo-anonymity.

The real question is what monster to give them. There's always Witch if we really want to be terrible, though. Being more like the people who shut the monsters away? There's no way this could end badly, right? :)

Also rude humans is just a given. Humans are terrible. More news at 11!

That makes sense to me, especially after how they'd sought to help their adoptive family by getting rid of themself...

Witch for human with magic, as with that history, is already pretty terrible. If Chara wanted to hear even more confirmation how terrible humans can be, they could ask about the Rathmores (nobles who recently kidnapped and hurt a number of the mirrorbound) or Dorchacht (a city that had collared and enchanted their monsters to obey).

Can I also raise some degree of Chimera, all the better for the mix of lion and goat physical traits and fire breathing that one might find in a boss monster? Less blatantly terrible, but it has its own fun :)c
