Aefenglom is a sex-friendly, panfandom fantasy game, set in the post-apocalyptic world of Geargadas. Character choices can affect overarching plot, and the characters' ultimate goal will be to help rebalance the world by stopping the growth of the Cwyld, a magical blight infecting both the land and inhabitants living in places left unprotected. There are many things to learn about the world and how it came to be along the way that will help in discovering both the cause of the Cwyld and how to get home.

Possibly Apping: Felix Hugo Fraldarius

Tell Us More: For the canonblind: he's an enormous bastard. No, really. He's incredibly standoffish and mean to (almost) everyone and there are at least a few lines of dialogue in his repertoire that I am not even comfortable repeating. He also onlycurrabout swords and fighting people with swords and finds other, friendlier activities a nuisance and a distraction.

Choice: I'm not 100% settled but I'm leaning toward witch for him! But I could change my mind.

Basic Plans: I really, really like the bond mechanic because Felix is a Huge Bitch™, by which I mean he keeps everyone else at arm's length and doesn't like relying on other people, and this would force him to do... exactly that. I love to bully him by making him do things he hates so he has to grow as a person, so this is my jam.

There are also a whole lot of people in this game he'd want to duel on sight so, hey, line 'em up, come kick his ass, come get your ass kicked, I ain't picky on how it ends.

Anything Else: I'd like to app him from Azure Moon because that's uuuuh the only route I've played. Definitely post-timeskip, I'm just not sure exactly when post-timeskip.

Our canon points are from all over the place - example, Thancred is from before 3.0. We can't take any more Warriors of Light, but don't let that scare you off! There's fucked up politics to go with the monsters and witches.

Possibly Apping: Eileen the Crow, from Bloodborne

Tell Us More: a hoonter of hoonters, in Bloodborne lore she is part of a deeply selective group of foreign hunters who have taken it upon themselves to make marks of and kill those hunters who have become "drunk with blood", aka driven insane by their work and thus killed innocent people (or at least murdered people outside of the constrains of the church's hunt) in their madness, falling to beasthood. Eileen is someone who is slow to trust, but is pretty affable otherwise (and might possibly suffer from the psuedobulbar effect, given she's prone to small bursts of inappropriate chuckles in her dialog).
Choice: given she never shows any of her skin to anyone, my options are uniquely open. i could go the ironic route and make her a crow harpy, or do something else, i'm open to suggestions y'all

Basic Plans: a hoonter will hoont. she plans on carrying out her work here until she's too damaged or dead, so if you need a violent vigilante of justice to take down those who've taken their own creeds too far, she'll be yer gal.

Possibly Apping: Near - Death Note

Tell Us More: He's from that series with the book that kills people and the weird protagonist/antagonist who's dramatic about potato chips. Mello's foil, basically. Or maybe it's the other way around. He and Mello are like two halves of L, personality-wise. And they're all creeps.

Choice: Monster.

Basic Plans: I have a couple potential bonds hopefully lined up already, but I'm always open for him getting more minions acquaintances. Near isn't attached at the hip to his canon mates and can be something of a recluse, but that won't get him far here. I know I'd like to have him be a naga - adder specifically.

Wanted: LITERALLY ANYONE. Other mages (especially Dorian, Solas, Vivienne, or WYNNE weeps for her) would be great but honestly I just wanna see more of Thedas around; its terrible politics around race and magic mesh fascinatingly with Aefenglom and Dorchacht and their various issues so I would love to see other people exploring that.

But also, cast!! Cast would be so good!! (You don't even have to play with me I'd just sit and fondly regard you from a distance.)

Possibly Apping: Emil Västerström from Stand Still Stay Silent

Tell Us More: Emil is a vain, bossy, ignorant, spoiled, tactless, loyal, considerate, optimistic, resilient Swede who comes from post-apocalyptic nightmare disease Scandinavia. He has perfect hair and lots of weapons and loves fire, explosions, children, and animals. Emil is kind of dumb but great at blowing things up!

Choice: Witch! He only recently finally started believing in magic and the supernatural, and I'm excited at the prospect of him being terrible at studying magic and lighting things on fire.

Basic Plans: I'm super excited about the bonding mechanic, I'm weak for that kind of thing, and Emil is really great with difficult abrasive characters and I love playing with that. I am also interested in playing around with his academic failures as related to studying magic (aka disasters with fire magic) and doing adventures and quests and such!

Possibly Apping: Majima Goro from Yakuza (2, specifically)

Tell Us More: One-eyed, eccentrically dressed ex-yakuza and infamous madman. Was once the patriach of his own crime family under the umbrella of a larger clan, but has since gone into the construction biz with his boys instead. Has played a lot of roles in his life, including but not limited to: cabaret manager, foreman, bartender, hostess, pop idol, police officer, taxi driver, giant traffic cone, member of the living dead, bomb technician, and competition announcer—just don't ask for credentials. He can be A Lot to handle, but there's a serious side hidden under there. I promise.
Choice: Monster (Naga)

Basic Plans: Wrangling together a crew of misfits and founding Majima Construction's first foreign branch. I heard you guys have a very important wall here in need of patching up from time to time, amongst other rebuilding efforts.

Tell Us More: A changeling aspected to ice with a sharp and logical personality. He seems like someone who has just stepped out of a fairytale book, with his glassy appearance and subtle pride. Yes, he's made of ice, meaning he's boneless and see-through. Other than the typical changeling activities of eating other people's emotions, he enjoys artisan crafts and playing violin dirges for the dead. He tries to be poetic, really.

Do you want a straight man to your character's funny man antics? He's your guy. Do you want an ally who will shank monsters without blinking? He's also your guy. Winter deals with sorrow, and his status as the Winter court's monarch means he's exceptionally attuned to it, being comfortable amongst the mourning and the depressed folks away from their homes. If you need a listening ear, he's your guy and can alleviate some of that despair if you so wish to have it removed.

He has two castmates in game right now, Asura and Persephone, who are the Summer and Spring monarchs in their world. They're quite close to having a full quartet, but Autumn isn't exactly nice, so maybe it's for the best.

Choice: Witch!

Basic Plans: Explore! I had the idea of having him work as an undertaker so he can watch over graveyards while carving wooden birds. He thinks it's thematically appropriate. Other than that, I'm interested in having him form bonds with others, since his entire spiel as a ice-type changeling means he's artificially distanced from people. He does value power, which means he's going to be much more open to the idea of Friendship (tm) for the sake of it.

Anything Else: He can't drink tea. This is a tragedy, guys.

Wanted: Anyone! That's unspecific, but I'm always excited at the prospect of getting to thread with other Awakening characters. Being able to expand upon existing supports or coming up with CR untouched upon by canon is all fun. I'd love to see Maribelle, Libra, Gaius, Cherche, Olivia, Tharja, Frederick, Lissa, Panne, or Sumia. I would also love to see any of the child units, especially Lucina! If they have white hair... awkward! Perfect!

Tell Us More: Finn was raised to be a nameless stormtrooper for the First Order, aka your given massive fascist military that hand raises a slave army from any franchise in need of a clear and undeniably evil side. But even after a lifetime of brainwash brand propaganda, he refused to follow orders to kill unarmed civilians. So he made a break for freedom, and is now dedicated to dismantling the galaxy-conquering system that brutalized him.

Finn is a very intense and sincere and generally good person. He has a lot of empathy, a lot of fight, and exudes a potent found family miasma bc he attaches fast. Unfortunate penchant for self-sacrifice?? Lots of improvising but that's just Star Wars brand. He likes to bottle up his trauma and is also. A dork. He is full of love. Not necessarily very good at "relaxing."

(angling towards a Last Jedi canonpoint, maybe to update to the rise of skywalker somewhere down the line? would remain free of plot spoilers in game until well after whatever the spoilers buffer rule is tbh.)

Choice: leaning towards witch! still not 100% sure yet but it sounds fun for him!
Basic Plans: I am HUGELY into CR over probably most other things in RP. All I know for sure is I love the bond mechanic and wanna play with it, and also dig into some magical shenanigans 👀 im on my phone and tired im sorry

Tell Us More: A magician, a performer, and an all round good girl... well, apart from that whole recklessly chasing a panty thief, staging her own kidnapping, throwing knives at scooters* deal.

Tell Us More: A no nonsense leader of a band of mercenaries in a very anachronistic version of Sengoku era Japan, Magoichi is pure badass and often the only sane person in this whole canon. Also, pure unabashed titty.
Choice: Harpy is the initial, obvious choice, but I'm still thinking about it.
Basic Plans: Kick ass, take names. Make contacts and maybe, just maybe, take someone under her wing (ha... ha.)

Possibly Apping: Lapis De Fiore (OC)

Tell Us More: A young woman with the ability to see and speak to the dead, and usually has two or three ghosts floating around her. Her ability allows her to 'bond' with ghosts to increase both her and their powers, so she's used to this sort of mechanic -
But being around the dead practically all her life means that her morals are a bit... skewed. She can hold a nasty grudge and doesn't believe in forgiveness oops

She is also terrible at actually displaying her emotions, so she tends to have resting bitch face and is way too blunt - though her voice and body language tend to be a lot more animated. But despite the... everything else, she does mean well and wants to try to help others. When she isn't dealing with the supernatural, she's big into fashion and such, and would've probably opened her own salon if she didn't follow the family business.

Also a terrible mother-hen and nag. Anyone she likes will get fussed over and forced to look after themselves.

Choice: Witch. Both because I already have a monster in-game, and since she'll have her ghosts with her, she could make them her familiars... Everyone likes ghosts right, right.

Basic Plans: Basically here for bonding shenanigans and just shenanigans in general. Lapis will have a goal to perfect her Divination so that she can speak to the dead (why? because it might be important one day!!!), but other than that I'm just going to throw her into everything

Hello! I was here last year or so for a very hot-second but had to leave before even getting started to due rl getting super busy. I'm reaally wanting to get back but honestly can't just decide who to app.

Possibly Apping: Tae Takemi from Persona 5
Tell Us More: She's young back-alley doctor with love for goth fashion. Her tarot arcana is "Death" which I think already gives you a good idea of what she's like. Takemi was pretty much banned and thrown away from medical community and general hospitals due to failed experimentation. She's very unimpressed with things and somewhat flirty having that certain kind of threatening aura around her. While her heart is definitely in right place she does morally questionable choices: working on alternative/illegal medicine, using minor (16-17) as a guinea pig and ultimately ending up dating that same person -- it's an option in game but not mandatory route.
Choice: Witch
Basic Plans: I don't have any specific plans. I think Takemi would be interesting to play and see how she'd navigate around this setting and how her expertise on medical field would come in handy.

Possibly Apping: Frol from They Were Eleven
Tell Us More: Frol comes from this somewhat obscure oneshot shojo story. It's about how eleven candidates for special space university who have to inhabitant abandoned space station. Frol is very loud, impulsive and curious. They come from distant planet where gender and sex are heavily monitored, which has led Frol to have Very strong opinions about their own rights etc. Frol is definitely a handful and lack some social skills when it comes to understanding personal boundaries but ultimately they are a good person.
Choice: Undecided.
Basic Plans: Just like with Takemi.. I don't have any coherent plans but I think this could be super fun character to play and see how they interact with rest of the cast.

Tell Us More: I'm a lazy and don't really bother going on with details with this character. I would however be taking Jasmine from end of first movie -- possibly even after second one, making the TV series lived canon for her.

Tell Us More: upstanding, sincere, strait-laced (he's just not good at jokes) valedictorian type of guy when you look at him. but he actually is mighty feral and self-destructive, definitely fighting his own demons (there's a lot a trauma), if one digs deep. he's the crown prince to the holy kingdom of faerghus, later on he does inherit the throne depending on the route you play. despite that, he's not one for formalities nor the magic caste system which is a pillar in Fodlan society. did i mention he has abnormal strength thanks to his crest and he has trouble sewing cause he breaks the needles??
Choice: maybe... witch? maybe. turnskin. maybe. chimera.
Basic Plans: nothing specific! i think bond mechanics and monster changes are neat and open up a realm of development. i'm also interested in plot, so investigations and unearthing answers will be on my mind. otherwise, i would like to futher explore his character as he bounces off all types of people, if i decide to app! very vague plans. not sure if i will app this coming cycle or the one after, if he isn't taken...
Anything Else: i will probably play him from Azure Moon (Blue Lions) for the sake of ease, my sanity, and his own sanity.

LWA is an amazing show, easily watchable on netflix, and is a jewel of its genre with both amazing animation and a ton of heart in its characters and story. it's a fun, all ages watch that brings relateable content for just about anyone watching, and URSULA IS ALL ALONE IN THIS GAME just bring her some folks she knows/cares about, which is basically the whole case

Possibly Apping: Lee Jongdae (OC)
Tell Us More: Jongdae spent most of his life in a laboratory facility as an experimental test subject with some very strange and powerful abilities. He ended up getting free at some point and spends a couple of years living "on the outside" and learning life and educating himself through what he picks up on the internet.

He has like zero social skills and a lot of issues (he spends a lot of time pretending don't exist), but he's also super optimistic and wants to try all the things. Kind of a ridiculous person with a lot of animated gestures and generally dumb things to say. He also has something of a literal dark side, which is not on its own a separate personality but all his less pleasant emotions kind of wrapped up and compartmentalised to the point he's given it all a name and established it as his personal demon to be walled off and ignored as much as possible (because that's healthy).
Choice: Monster. Probably vampire? I can tell you he would not handle this transition very well and would definitely have a lot to learn to be able to deal with it. He's gonna lose all his powers which is gonna be a lot of ??? for him.
Basic Plans: I've been throwing my dumb boi into several games lately but I've been eyeing this one the longest tbh and the bond mechanic seems really interesting and I just wanna see how he gets on with others and basically just develop all the CR and yeah I wanna do all the things and see what sticks auuugh.

Tell Us More: There's a 90% chance that I'll be apping her from the end of The Last Jedi, both to avoid spoilers for anyone who still hasn't seen the movie and also to give myself a little more time to wrap my head around Rise of Skywalker and determine where I want to go with all of that.

TL;DR this tiny grump is all crunch on the outside with a gooey center that desperately wants to feel like part of a family. By the Last Jedi she's softened up a good deal and she's more secure with her power in the Force, but there's still a lot of questioning and doubt for her about her path. I feel like this game would be a great setting for her to learn to open up and I love the idea of flipping the script and not having her be a witch at all. Which brings me to--

Choice: Monster! I'm leaning a little towards a spider monster but not even gonna lie there's something appealing about a dragon too.

Basic Plans: Found family! Lets bond about Destinies and whether or not they're absolute crap or not! I also just love seeing where weird choices for CR can end up and I love the hell out of everything cross canon so literally come at me I'm so here for it all.
