Aefenglom is a sex-friendly, panfandom fantasy game, set in the post-apocalyptic world of Geargadas. Character choices can affect overarching plot, and the characters' ultimate goal will be to help rebalance the world by stopping the growth of the Cwyld, a magical blight infecting both the land and inhabitants living in places left unprotected. There are many things to learn about the world and how it came to be along the way that will help in discovering both the cause of the Cwyld and how to get home.

Characters arrive to the eponymous city of Aefenglom as one of two choices: Witches, who learn and wield the magic inherent in the world of Geargadas, and Monsters, sentient creatures that can act as conduits for this very magic. Players have a choice in what their character becomes, and how they make the best (or worst) of it. Explore the city, the world, the Bonds that can be made between you and others - and see just how much you can uncover about yourself and the world around you.

Possibly Apping: Felix Hugo Fraldarius

Tell Us More: For the canonblind: he's an enormous bastard. No, really. He's incredibly standoffish and mean to (almost) everyone and there are at least a few lines of dialogue in his repertoire that I am not even comfortable repeating. He also onlycurrabout swords and fighting people with swords and finds other, friendlier activities a nuisance and a distraction.

Choice: I'm not 100% settled but I'm leaning toward witch for him! But I could change my mind.

Basic Plans: I really, really like the bond mechanic because Felix is a Huge Bitch™, by which I mean he keeps everyone else at arm's length and doesn't like relying on other people, and this would force him to do... exactly that. I love to bully him by making him do things he hates so he has to grow as a person, so this is my jam.

There are also a whole lot of people in this game he'd want to duel on sight so, hey, line 'em up, come kick his ass, come get your ass kicked, I ain't picky on how it ends.

Anything Else: I'd like to app him from Azure Moon because that's uuuuh the only route I've played. Definitely post-timeskip, I'm just not sure exactly when post-timeskip.

Tell Us More: I'll just talk Sylvain right now since he's most likely-- I feel Sylvain might be the best fit for me since he aligns most with my usual character types. His flirting and the depth he hides behind it would be fun to write.
Choice: I want to app a 3H character! I'm not totally decided on who, but I listed them in order of who I think I'd most enjoy apping here, so right now Sylvain is most likely. I was in Aef awhile ago so this would be me rejoining with a new character.
Basic Plans: For Sylvain, there's the shallow flirting that he'd dish out quite a lot, and I'd hope to dig into deeper CR as well that gets under his mask and shows what he actually has strong feelings for. I may go with "witch" for him, but I might change my mind.
Anything Else: Probably post-timeskip Blue Lions route. If it wasn't already obvious, I love Blue Lions...

Possibly Apping: Felix Hugo Fraldarius

Tell Us More: He’s an abrasive young man from a fantasy world that takes inspiration from late Medieval-, early Renaissance-period Europe. As a noble from the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, he’s expected to prioritize the ideals of chivalry and knighthood. So, naturally, Felix does just the opposite; he constantly spits on these ideals, which in his eyes only breed blind obedience and the glorification of senseless self-sacrifice.

Initially, it seems like Felix is only interested in sword fighting and little else other than getting stronger. But it later becomes apparent that the drive behind his obsession with training is so he can better protect his loved ones. He’s the quintessential example of an icy exterior hiding a heart of gold, basically. Also, he says extremely charming and romantic things such as: “If you're looking for a passionate affair, you've got the wrong man. Go find someone else. ...I'll always be more comfortable holding a sword than a woman's hand.” Wow, what’s not to love?

Choice: Monster – Vampire! I think there’s incredible potential to explore what a slow, gradual transformation into this kind of creature would do to Felix, psychologically. He’s the type of character who prides himself on not having to rely on others, so being forced to now depend on them for blood is going to necessitate personal growth. Felix also has had extremely rigid opinions on the boundary separating the living from the dead; to erase that boundary and make him undead will mess with him in the best/worst way. Finally, after witnessing Dimitri’s bloodlust in battle, Felix made a point to belittle and dehumanize his once-friend in all their shared interactions (for example, calling Dimitri “boar” and “beast”). It’ll be a painful case of situational irony for Felix to become an actual monster.

Basic Plans: Character growth is my favorite aspect of RPing, so that’s what I want to play out the most. The effects of positive CR, negative CR, how he handles his own transformation, etc. I’m eager to see how this particular setting will spur on his development as a person. He’s very much the type of man who will try and fight the monster-specific changes as they come, which won’t be great for him during the full moon. A strong support system through Bonds is going to be so critical for Felix, and the potential CR here will be amazing.

Anything Else: I love playing Felix from Azure Moon-alternate routes because of the emotional impact those routes have on him for the game’s ending. I’d like to take him from Verdant Wind, where he joined the Golden Deer house as a student! His solo ending for this route really hammers home just how much he’s lost his sense of purpose in the world, and I want to use that as an opportunity to build him up (or tear him down) in Aefenglom.

Feliiiiix. Sylvain is who I'm considering apping most so I'm very happy to see people interested in apping Felix. I've been RPing Felix a bunch myself in PSLs so I adore him.

Verdant Wind would be an interesting route for him to come from. I'd love to see him no matter the route. It'll be awkward for Edelgard since her world-state has Felix having joined the Beagles, but I like timeline fuckery.

Tell Us More: Bitch, you thot. Okay, seriously though, he's a noble from medieval fantasy europe who is so fucked up by being a noble from medieval fantasy europe that he fucks about it. So that's... a thing. Other than that, he's all pastel nihilism hidden under the kind of smile that makes you wonder if he's serious or not. He is. His friends know. (Un)Fortunately, he's all about those surface level friendships and will run for the hills if things start getting too deep, unless it's on exactly his terms, because he's just spoiled like that.

But get beneath the surface? Sylvain will love you forever, will marry and/or die for you. Preferably the latter. Because he's healthy like that. It's fine. He's fine. You're more important than he is, anyway, now let him go back to charming the literal pants off of you or anyone else, thx.

Choice: Witch, probably!

Basic Plans: I love the bond mechanic, and balancing that with Sylvain's Ways(tm) sounds like it would be pretty fun and interesting. Will he bond with just anyone? No. Will he burn himself to ashes to try and handle the whole blue lions house if, for some reason, they all apped in as monsters? Absolutely. Aside from that, exploring the world, gettin all that cross canon cr, picking fights with eagles, you know, The Good Stuff.

Anything Else: Definitely pulling him from Azure Moon, post-timeskip, and probably from near the end of the game when he Wants To Die(tm) much less, but the war is still going on. Stressful.

Sylvain may want to die much less, but he's going to give himself an aneurysm trying to be the stabilizing end of the Bond for monster BLs (lmao, never gonna stop finding that acronym amazing).

Possibly Apping: Presenting: That One Guy Who Beat Both Peach And Yoshi In That One Nintendo Life Poll, Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd.

Tell Us More: Introducing King Sad Jock from the house of sad jocks.... where to even start. He's the product of a society that values honor, nobility, and strength as sacrosanct, all the while grappling with the fact that he has a big bleeding soft heart. It's made him steel up in all the wrong ways. Add a lot of trauma and some terrible coping methods (er, as in, "don't talk about, ever") and five years of burgeoning violence, and he matures into a gruff half-man eloquent only with a blade. Basically, he's a round peg in a square hole, and his way of dealing with that has been to... chop off all the smooth edges to fit. Look, don't judge, we subscribe to the Brothers Grimm method of self-actualization 'round here in Faerghus. Other than that, well... he has godawful table manners, is strong enough to snap metal lances (accidentally, even), and hasn't bathed in approximately five years. Bet you can't wait to get your hands on this sexy hunk of man meat.

Choice: Sticking with turnskin for now, because Twitter's repository of lion!Dimitri has made me a convert. (This is like 89.9% 1x1's fault.)

Basic Plans: One thing I didn't care much for in FE:3H was the tendency to fastforward through character development - yes, it's an FE problem in general, but it's particularly pronounced in Dimitri's arc. I'd really like the chance to explore his mental break and subsequent devolution into a revenge-obsessed monster in a setting where he'll be able to heal and grow more organically. Also, you know, we'll get the chance to mess him up even more. Is it possible to love a character without wanting to destroy him? Nah.

Anything Else: Thinking about taking him post-Valley of Torment in the Blue Lions path, because that's pretty much Dimitri's rock bottom. Also maybe returning from the lava pits means that some of his five-year BO will have been scorched off. We can hope.

Anyway! Looks like it'll be tough competition to race to the FE:3H reserves line, but I'm hoping I'll get to RP with a bunch of you in the near future!!

89.9 is a passing grade. I'm putting it on my refrigerator, along with my stick figure drawings of Felix begrudgingly (not actually begrudgingly) scratching lion!Dimitri's ears.

Dimitri definitely needed more stepping stones in his personal journey from point B to point C. It'd be awesome to see him develop in a setting like this. Especially with an Edelgard around hahaha

Tell Us More: She is a shy and anxious there who just needs someone to let her be happy at home. She's also very sweet once she gets to know you enough to relax. And she loves sewing. And cute things. And...carnivorous plants... Look. She's a good girl. She just enjoys weird things and doesn't know they're weird.

Choice: Monster I think!

Basic Plans: I'm here for the bond mechanic because I feel like it could help chill her out and make her feel secure. Plus I just love the idea of Bernie getting to make friends here and not have to worry about... Oh wait. She still has to worry about going out. Welp! There we go again!

Anything Else: Post time skip for sure but not fully settled on a time point yet! There's a lot of interesting routes for her imo so I'm open minded if someone would prefer something!

God, Bernadetta would be such a wonderful addition, and there's a ton of ways the game could help work on her issues. Since having a bond would radically help her not think that her bonded are out to get her, and she can relax!

Edelgard would be extremely happy to see Bernie, ngl. She's had a couple of conversations with Hubert and Lorenz about her.

What monsters are you considering? She has so much potential across the board.

Oh man, she'd be great. Monster seems like a good fit for her in a bunch of ways, too; I can easily see her as a puca, arachne, or harpy.

I play Hubert from the ending of CF, like Ax said. He'd definitely be glad to see her from that same timeline, since the idea of realities where Edelgard's lost the war's quietly rattled him. And he's got his flower with him, too!
