  Hey there everyone! Because of the level of interest and conversation happening with Aefenglom, we decided that we would offer an opportunity: Are you on the fence about a character, or having trouble choosing between Witch or Monsters? Want to see if there's anyone considering a castmate? You could even find out if you can enable someone into being one! This is similar to an EMP/ATP meme, in theory, although has the interesting note of being before game start. Not sure how you got here? Have no fear! Aefenglom is a sex-friendly, panfandom fantasy game, set in the post-apocalyptic world of Geargadas. Character choices can affect overarching plot, and the characters' ultimate goal will be to help rebalance the world by stopping the growth of the Cwyld, a magical blight infecting both the land and inhabitants living in places left unprotected. There are many things to learn about the world and how it came to be along the way that will help in discovering both the cause of the Cwyld and how to get home. Possibly Apping: Kaede (also known as Lucy), from Elfen Lied
Tell Us More: A disaster zone of traumatic issues and spite, bottled since childhood and wrapped up in a startlingly pink package. Kaede (her real name) is a mostly mercurial creature, enduring things until she suddenly Can't, snaps, flips out, and usually people die. She's also occasionally horrifically spiteful and violent. But Kaede still has a squishy center under that, if you want to trawl through the issues and murder instead of cross the street to avoid dealing with her problems.
Also she's from that point in the manga where she died terribly; she'll be initially more depressed and listless than murderous.
Kaede also has one (1) Anime Split Personality and one (1) personal shoulder devil. The personality is called Nyu, a much kinder and gentler person who lives normally with people and is horrified of Kaede's existence, please don't talk about that serial killer in this house. Nyu is much friendlier, caring towards strangers and people she knows alike, and will be distinctly unhappy at the whole monster thing.
Choice: Monster most definitely, chimera most likely because she's a mess. I already have a design for it, I love making these things.
Basic Plans: Since Kaede will be dropping in shortly after her death, she'll be kind of weak for awhile and won't have any cool telekinesis powers. She'll be disgruntled at the latter, but now is a good time to give her a hug before she gets pointy. I personally want to start the changes as soon as possible because I am very excited.
Unlike Nyu, Kaede will be pretty okay about the monster thing. She just looks as monstrous as she thinks of herself now, it's fine. Feathers? Fine. Tail? She'll probably close a door on it, but it's fine. Digitigrade legs?? Mostly fine once she figures out how to use the stairs again, etc.
And since she thinks all the bridges in her previous life are burnt and done with, she's more open to form new attachments in this one. Forming attachments to people was kind of important to keep her from sliding into a purely antagonistic role
which is how socialization works I know but she's a terribly socialized half-feral cat, okay.Anything Else: Previous plans for getting bonded fast aside, canonmates would completely wreck her shit and I'd be delighted for that.
Bonus fun fact: she's 5'4'' and sounds unnervingly like a contralto Ali Hillis.
