His mask conceals his face, but it's one of concern. Great power is something that isn't something to be taken lightly, and before he can think more rationally and maybe of this place in case she drinks it and disaster strikes, a comment slips. ]

My strength is already something that burdens. Something more practical, like for treating injuries or poison, I would consider.
[ He doesn't have Fif or the captain to tend to his wounds, so at the very least he should be more mindful. Thay said... He can't read the labels well, and it's unlikely that merchant will pitch any of this helpful ones to him. He sighs. ]

[ This is why he wears a mask— against better the better judgment he's trying to exercise, he's sure his emotions would betray him when he's asked something like that, even innocently. But then she apologizes, and he can breathe somewhat easier. ]
...It's not something someone would expect to hear. Especially when you seem to have the opposite idea of it.

I'm not as optimistic that it will work, actually. You may know what kind of power you want, but a random merchant you know as well as me probably does not.
