"A direct act of creation?" His eyes widen, clearly surprised, but after a moment he offers a smile. "Well… you're not alone in that, for what comfort it might be. But I imagine it would be possible to find workarounds with the Coven here to achieve similar results."
"Indeed. Though it would take more time, such a feat is not impossible." Where there is a will, there is a way. Just as there is a way through this door that stands before them.
Bending low, he twists to pass through the frame. "This Coven... I take it they are a group whose expertise is valued by the population here?"
From what he gathers, they do sound as though they are well-learned.
"They are indeed," he confirms, stepping in after Hythlodaeus. "The Coven is formed of those people who have the power and desire to teach and train in magic. And they've been some of the people who helped support us, when we first arrived."
"Of that, I am glad. It is a disorienting experience, to be suddenly without that which is intrinsic to oneself and thrust into a new land." Even one or the other would be unsettling, he supposes. Yet to have both happen at once is truly a great deal to adjust to.
"That those who offer to help are just as keen to share their knowledge is a fortunate thing. Though I suspect they do not yet have a direct answer for what has happened, their understanding of the magicks employed here will likely prove to be of immeasurable benefit. From an understanding of how things should function, we may yet glean how it is that things have gone awry, and from there devise a means of fixing the matter."
Glancing around, he surveys the room. It is spacious enough to stretch out, he observes, and concludes that it shall serve his needs well, his only requirement for a dwelling in the short term being that he may rest at length without concern for the weather. The rest, however inconvienient, he will be able to manage somehow.
