Special Fourth Wall EMP!

Happy one-year anniversary, Aefenglom! In honor of this special occasion and to make up for delaying our application round, this month we are having a Fourth Wall Event, open to all who want to try out a character in the setting. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Keep in mind that for this Fourth Wall, characters who would not normally be appable will be allowed, except for CRAU, and with the caveat of "be considerate to each other" with regards to doubles, etc. Otherwise, have fun!

Feel free to use this post for characters you'd like to see, or to float characters you might want to bring, make plans with people who aren't already part of the game, etc! (The CR Meme on the 3rd will be for current players/characters. Fourth wall guests should use this instead.)

Fourth wall characters will arrive through various mundane mirrors throughout Aefenglom after a little mishap at the Looking-Glass House. This means that yes, you might stumble out of someone's bathroom mirror unexpectedly, sorry about that! Once here, everyone will begin accelerated transformations into Monsters or Witches, but unfortunately, their presence here is not so tied down as proper Mirrorbound, and by June 1st, they will all vanish back into the mirrors around the city. ICly they will know their stay is tentative, but no one will know exactly when they'll disappear.

Still, that's plenty of time to explore a little, or reunite with old friends.

Aefenglom is a sex-friendly, panfandom fantasy game, set in the post-apocalyptic world of Geardagas. Character choices can affect overarching plot, and the characters' ultimate goal will be to help rebalance the world by stopping the growth of the Cwyld, a magical blight infecting both the land and inhabitants living in places left unprotected. There are many things to learn about the world and how it came to be along the way that will help in discovering both the cause of the Cwyld and how to get home.

Tell Us More:
Amal is a goofy guy with a big smile who doesn't ever seem to let anyone close. He's from Thavnair, which is an island nation full of merchant princes and fancy alchemists. He grew up poor and unwanted being a half-anything, so naturally he found his way by stealing, and dancing for cash (and sometimes for wallets). Eventually that got to be too much and he was tired of being arrested, so he started over as an adventurer across the sea.

Despite dealing with copious amounts of People Being Terrible, he's still learning to deal with emotions beyond "haha laugh it off it's fine" and "blatant sarcasm". In any kind of scenario he's the embodiment of the non-serious dialogue option, clever though he might be; he prefers the obfuscating stupidity route. He has a tendency to lie harmlessly as a joke, but when it comes to big things he's actually awful at it.

He hates authority, is terrible at commitment of any kind, but has a soft spot for helping people (especially kids). Expect him to be sly and tease mercilessly, until the tables are turned!

Choice: Fae, specifically a morpho.

Basic Plans: Pranks ahoy, maybe even some theft Just Because. He's here to have fun. I will obviously not be interacting with myself, but I'm happy to throw him at anyone-- he gets along well, assuming they have patience for his flighty personality.

Anything Else: I've played an npc for months let me have this.

Possibly Bringing: Asbel Lhant (Tales of Graces)
Tell Us More: Asbel is a former knight and the recently-christened lord of a small territory within a kingdom after his father's untimely demise. He's friendly, outgoing and driven, with a strong sense of duty, but kind of emotionally-constipated at times and with a huge chip or three on his shoulder. Also he has an otherworldly being living inside his head now.
Choice: I haven't decided which yet exactly, but definitely some kind of monster. That'll be an Experience for him. I'm leaning Puca at the moment? It'd be an interesting representation of the mischievous kid he used to be.
Basic Plans: Nothing set in stone per se, he's an old muse I want to bring back so I'm gonna play fast and loose here!
Anything Else: He's the only one I have tentative plans for, but I have other characters over here if anyone wanted to see someone make an appearance! No promises though.
