OOPS and I thought she might be safe from heating with fireplaces with the magitechnology around here. If Hubert ever wants to avoid a child he can just go in the room with the fireplace because once she realizes this she's just. Never going to go in that room unless she absolutely has to. If it's in a spot she'd have to pass through between parts of the house, she'd probably rather walk out the back door and come around to the front and vice versa. If the first time she's in that room the fireplace isn't lit and then it gets kindled when she's in there, he'll get to watch her just zoom out of the room like a cat that knows that it's time to take some bitter medicine.

She will probably only be nervous around things small enough that they're just for light, but big enough for warmth and that might throw a shoe into the possibility of teaching her alchemy poisons.

I mean this will probably wind up getting the Bernadetta treatment in that it happens once and then mysteriously never happens again?? Wow, what a coincidence.

I think the "Leslie's in the room, Hubert comes in and stokes the fire's coals" could make for a neat thread if you'd like to do that
