CR & PLOTTING: AUGUST
The weather aside, the city and its people didn't take too much of a break. The Coven, deciding that a follow up on the cave was necessary, especially with the discovery of a ley-line beneath it, put out a request to help get Smugha Cave into more suitable base order. They were immensely grateful for the help they received, too; not everyone in the Coven is trained to handle what the Wilde can dish out. With the area better secured, they turn their eyes to the next part of their plan to establish a firm foothold in the Wilde: connecting directly to the ley-line, creating an anchor point for teleportation. Amidst this, Nerissa Bell - head of the Coven - called for a bit of a meeting for everyone who could attend, just for everyone to share any information, queries, and so on - if they'd like, or if they could. With those major points out of the way...
Quest: Special Training
As more than a few of you have already noticed, a quest log will be going up on August 9th for some training by the Wilders. While not exactly an event proper, this will be an opportunity for characters to head into the deeper part of the Wilde in a similar fashion to the last one in June for the exploration of Smugha Cave. We won't spoil too many details for all of you, but just like the last one, it might have some connection to a place in the last dream everyone got to have - that is, July's TDM. Sign-ups are on-going and open to everyone, so if it piques your interest now or when the log goes up, feel free to toss your character up there!
Event: The Black City
Speaking of shared dreams: no points for guessing what our next event log is. Like clockwork, characters will fall asleep on the night of the 16th regardless of if they can truly sleep or need to - and awaken in a dream. They'll find themselves within a city not unlike Aefenglom in structure, but with a major difference: there aren't any Monsters walking freely. Instead, they're leashed and collared, heads lowered in submission - and those who have Monster traits coming in will find they're under the same curse as these ones: they have to obey every order that comes from a Witch's mouth, whether it's a joke or not. Attempting to fight it will give them pain, nausea, and other adverse effects in increasing intensity until they give in, or until the Witch lifts their order.
And just like in the last shared dream, as well as the TDMs, a character's rate of transformation and the number of spells/how powerful they are can be played with - it is a dream, after all!

Appearance: This
Brief: A hot mess who has just recently come off of erasing months of memories, so he's overly chipper, overly anxious, trying far too hard to be positive/helpful/useful, and also prone to being discouraged too easily because he's a bundle of emotions. But if you want a loyal, empathetic idiot who is quick to adopt anyone he senses might be in need, Tony is that. He just causes a lot of trouble as he tries to do good.

Event Plans:
Tony may very reluctantly attend training because he knows in his heart of hearts that he should, but he's really not excited for it. So he'll be trying to find excuses not to (and go anyway).
For the Black City, he's getting pretty used to the dream scenario and he is a Witch, so he won't be too shy in it. He does have a tendency to joke around so he could be there for accidental orders or misinterpreted statements that just cause trouble? He's not really malicious, although he does like to tease friends. This could carry over to innocent teasing to strangers.
General Plans: He'll be trying to figure out his new Bond and probably cause some sad messes with failed magic practice. He's been getting a little more into it so he's getting to the point where he might know just enough to cause accidents. I would like to mess with that.

He would absolutely tease in the dream and maybe give stupid orders for fun, but as soon as he realized how serious the curse was he would cancel it and be upset by that. He doesn't actually want to hurt anyone, but he's careless/carefree enough to accidentally abuse his power without realizing it?
Chris Redfield | Faun

Appearance: this
Brief: A very stubborn, fixated, but generally hopeful and positive soldier. He seems a bit too serious and work oriented, but he's still a pretty positive guy that wants to believe that best outcome is always possible. He's also just really bad with the monster thing.
Choice: Faun
Event Plans: Chris will definitely be there for training. DID SOMEONE SAY TRAINING? He needs an excuse to stay active and keep his mind off of his own situation so he'll be running headlong right into danger. Probably on purpose.
He isn't quite showing monster features yet but in the dream he can totally start showing faun features. It'll be awful and he will be a big angry violent beast about it. He doesn't take orders he doesn't like so that can be fun too. All the resistance and bad reactions.
General Plans: He's going to need some heavy adjustment to the idea of magic and any transformation NOT meaning a whole lot of death, body horror, and terrible things. He'll probably spend this first month closing off or lashing out in little ways, trying not to actually lash out at innocent people, but his discomfort is going to be there. And he won't be open to the Bonding or magic at first so I'm kind of hoping to lead up to some feral rampaging? He's a good boy. Just. Stressed.
