Hey there everyone! Since the first one was a success - and apps are due to open again this month, with our bimonthly schedule and all - we've decided to host another one of these. And yes, we're a little late - sorry about that. Let's jump right in: Are you on the fence about a character, or having trouble choosing between Witch or Monsters? Want to see if there's anyone considering a castmate? You could even find out if you can enable someone into being one! This is basically our EMP/ATP - so go nuts, have fun, explore your choices.. Not sure how you got here? Have no fear! Aefenglom is a sex-friendly, panfandom fantasy game, set in the post-apocalyptic world of Geargadas. Character choices can affect overarching plot, and the characters' ultimate goal will be to help rebalance the world by stopping the growth of the Cwyld, a magical blight infecting both the land and inhabitants living in places left unprotected. There are many things to learn about the world and how it came to be along the way that will help in discovering both the cause of the Cwyld and how to get home. Clearly Kyo and his life needs more torment in having Sohma around to laugh that even here without the Curse he is still a Cat. I'm not sure on what canon point you had in mind for her but Kyo is from after the True Form Reveal. But I'd love to see more Fruits Baskets around, actually having Sohma here with Kyo.

lbr Kyo would prob like. Feel some kind of responsibility of sorts for keeping an eye on her if only in case Haru shows up.

Tell Us More: She's a psuedo-immortal guardian of the Land of Shadows, a sort of realm of the undead in Celtic mythology, former monarch of Dun Scaith on the Isle of Skye, the creator and original wielder of the legendary spear Gáe Bolg, a master of the Primeval Runes, and a teacher of many heroes, most notably Cú Chulainn. She has mixed feelings about all of this.

Tell Us More: The second Robin, Jason Todd was famously killed, mysteriously revived, and came back with some serious rage and trauma issues. Despite all his rage though, he's not evil, for the last goddamned time.

Basic Plans: I'm not sure. It depends where I decide to app him from, since uh. He kind of makes progress and then backslides wildly when he meets certain setbacks, which. It's the bat family. There are always setbacks.

Tell Us More: A hero for hobby, Saitama worked so hard to be strong that he surpassed human limitations and became literally OP, able to win any fight in one punch etc, and it actually really sucks. He's a simple man with simple couponing interests, who tries to keep living his boring simple life, but people keep trying to get all up in his business like he's worth something or whatever?? Weirdos.
Choice: Dragon, but he would be the most unimpressive looking dragon people would think he's just a werelizard or something.

Tell Us More: The silent protagonist destined to take up the master sword and save Hyrule! A 117 year old Hylian who’s been asleep for far too long, has some memory issues and a knack for being able to cook just about anything he finds. He’s skilled with the sword, archery, solving puzzles and saving princesses.
Choice: Witch; Studying a little bit of everything but excelling in Abjuration and Evocation
Basic Plans: He’s going to be a little stressed out because he’s going to be plucked right out of his adventure before completing his main goal. Worried about a certain land and princess. But a hero’s call is a hero’s call so he’ll throw himself right into magic and saving this world.
Anything Else: He would be coming with Epona, his trusty stead! And probably an over encumbered bag filled with too many weapons and meal ingredients.

Despite his unfortunate past and majorly lonesome existence, Emil is chipper and upbeat, taking even the hard times in stride. He smiles often, chuckles at his companions and is unbearably fond of making rather awful puns. He loves too much, perhaps, and with too much of himself. As long as he can make others happy and in turn be loved and appreciated, there's nothing more he could want. Emil is so happy go lucky that he manages to endear himself to even the biggest assholes or roughest characters in his own canon. His charm is hard to resist...he's too dumb to be mean to.

TL;DR he's really dumb, an insufferable optimist and just wants to be everyone's friend and makes shitty puns and is good at piano but bad at singing. He's also really small like only 4'7 he's super tiny so don't step on him. He was a human experiment and is actually old as fuck like...1300+ years old or something but he never ages. Sucky. He wears a bandage around his eyes in canon because he petrifies people with his gaze thanks to a sucky curse. Granted he'll be uncursed here but he won't know that right away :')

Choice: Witch! Since his current existence is a result of being a magic experiment and that he ends up becoming an OP mage later on in the game it fits imo.
Basic Plans: Nothing concrete! I've just missed playing Emil for awhile now and think it'd be really interesting to explore him in a setting like this one! I'd like for him to make new friends and finally get to maybe (?) live a proper life. Who knows!

Ayana: Why...? Well, they're smelly, dirty, violent, have no subtlety, are unnecessarily large, AND they manspread. They have this stupid pride and are quick to boast, they think with their dicks and not their heads, they raise the toilet seat and piss all over it...

Ayana: What? Like they’re strong? So is a chimpanzee. Like they make a lot of money? That’s because of the patriarchy.

Ayana is from a game where people suffering severe traumas and trying to escape from the real world are stuck in a virtual reality High School Simulator called Mobius. Since 'awakening' to the fact that Mobius is fake, she's working with the Go-Home Club to find a way to break the false reality and return home to her original body.

Her trauma is that she's extremely phobic and repulsed by all males, to the point of being violent to get them away from her. She can hardly even look at guys at first, let alone speak with them in anything less than a derisive way. This is due to the fact that, while she was already wary of and disliked guys, a man assaulted her best friend right in front of her with a metal bat and injured her to the point the girl killed herself afterwards bc it permanently damaged and blinded her.

Thankfully, Ayana's realized that this is having a negative impact on her life and she can't keep holding onto it, so she's trying to get better. She's able to get within 2 yards of a boy not within the Go-Home Club and considers that a great achievement.

Tell Us More: Asura is a dragon who hails from the realm of faerie, also commonly known as Arcadia. Lately, he's taken up residence in the human world and runs a mafia operation which allows him to build up a proper treasure hoard and fund the Court of other fae-creatures he's found himself in charge of. Equal parts swagger and lawful good nature, Asura is a rough n'tumble brawler with a sense of decorum about it, and when he's not off fighting for the cause, he's an incredibly gregarious, incorrigible flirt.
Choice: Witch! Because he's already a monster (or well, technically two), and would so totally not be inclined toward magic at all.

Tell Us More: Angel is a tech savvy young woman born with Cosmic Powers that are only granted to 6 women in her universe at a time, thus it makes total sense that her tyrannical father would lock her in a fortified bunker deep underground and have her use said powers to further his own agenda. But it was all for the safety of her well being, of course.
So think of her as a mad-max meets cyberpunk version of rapunzel: she's going to be shy and out of her element but equally eager to explore her new found freedom in the setting.
Choice: Undecided! A witch would be fitting considering her magical status in her own universe, but becoming a literal siren would be really cool too!

Possibly Apping: Ouse Kurosawa (Fatal Frame V)
Tell Us More: She is the thirstiest person to have ever spent 150 years drowning, and I mean that pretty literally. A lonely orphan from rural Japan in the Meiji Era, she developed spiritual powers after the death of her family and went to live at a shrine afterward. Problem is, this shrine was on a Death Mountain, and her job after that was to watch people die and take on their final emotions until, finally, she couldn't take it anymore, and she was slapped in a little box and dropped into a lake that was connected to the Underworld. She was supposed to be the Great Pillar, a powerful spiritual bulwark to stop all hell from literally breaking loose, but the deaths of all her support pillars, plus the fact she got attached to "living" meant she failed and fell to corruption, and then spent the next century-or-so as someone who was not really alive or dead, haunting the side of a mountain, waiting for someone to come along and marry her so she can die with them.

More humorously, though, she loves to use her name (which has a kanji that means to "meet" with someone in a sort of nudge-nudge-wink-wink sort of way) as a way to flirt with people. She's a sweetheart when she's not a malignant spirit. She will be alive here, so she isn't a malignant spirit most of the time.

Also there's a canon ending where she marries the protag, and I SEE YOU UP THERE KALYN BRING HER WIFE.
Choice: You'd think she'd be a shoo-in for a Merrow, but no, I am going for Dragon
Basic Plans: Gonna probably get her transformed asap, I love the idea of how easily Dragons get infected and her already corrupted human form will make it even more awesome when she's a dragon going all cwyltid (she's a two-phase final boss in her game, so watch out for that HP bar). Also I joked about it, but I am more serious than you know about having her Hoard be "lovers".

Tell Us More: A horrible eight foot tall bully who looks like a Thundercat and puts eyeliner on when she wants to intimidate a nemesis. She has an inferiority complex the size of her own enormous arm muscles and has dedicated herself for five thousand years to upholding her society's unjust hierarchy to try to make herself feel better. (SPOILERS: IT DID NOT WORK.) she just found out her life is a lie so she has a lot to figure out and she is going to hate every minute of it

Tell Us More: An angry, edgy dragon teen raised for the specific purpose of taking part in a violent insurrection against the fascist dictatorship that tried to wipe out her race. Is just starting to learn that possibly the other dragons suffering under that dictatorship aren't universally senselessly complicit and don't necessarily all deserve to die, but she doesn't like it!! Has a secret heart of gold. Great at incapacitating people with bugs.
Choice: Monster again even though she is already just a dragon, sorry,,, Ideally fae, because insect themed changes would make her so, so mad

Tell Us More: A Dumbass. That's it, that's Rosette. Loud and abrasive, she lives and loves hard, because when you know you won't live to see 30, that's just how you roll.
Choice: I'm torn. She would slot into a Witch role so easily, but making her a monster would be really interesting.
Basic Plans: Same as Fuuka, I want to see where she lands. I'm either taking her from immediately after the fight in San Francisco, during Chrono's dick move gambit in Pandemonium, or the time between the last chapter and the epilogue of the manga.
Anything Else: This is all still very tentative, but I love this game and want to play all the characters.

Still the WWII soldier turned Avengers leader and poster boy for stubbornness, but he has seen some shit lately (most recently at his canon point - spent about a year in a post-apocalyptic near-future and did not enjoy it), and is trying to get a handle on who he is and who he wants to be.

Basic Plans: Distrusted and feared on sight? Yeah that's going to be a new one to try to process. Also I'd really like to play with him dealing with the idea of going feral and losing control, considering how tightly wound he can be.

Tell Us More: Furry rebel trying to save the world. Little bit shy, but loves books a lot. Also probably maybe in love with her best friend??? Definitely 100% a badass that can kick the shit out of most people, create a fake hologram version of herself, and can fling herself around the battle field using the momentum of her gun. She's pretty rad.
Choice: Undecided! Leaning towards witch bc she's meant to be the beast half of Beauty & the Beast but HERE WE ARE, breaking character barriers.
Basic Plans: Honestly, I have nothing at all. I would just love for Blake to find some sense of normalcy in the world now that she isn't on the run from her abusive. murderous ex-boyfriend. Downtime! Learning magic! And then, you know, pitching in to save the world since that's what she does.

Basic Plans: he's really hard to get involved in things which is the biggest hurdle for him, if I go ahead with an app it might be getting him to focus on going out and doing some hunting stuff or running a questionable medical clinic but I'm open to suggestions.
