Hi everyone, this month we have some extremely important gamewide announcements, so please be sure to read below the cut.
This month's event surrounding the Sea Cwyldheart marks the beginning of Aefenglom's endgame plot, which brings together the Mirrorbound and native NPCs in a final fight to push back the threat of the Cwyld from Geardagas once and for all. We hope you enjoy the epic conclusion of the fight against the Cwyld.
All Mirrorbound are integral to this final battle, and as such, this is your heads up that we will be opening the game to all former players to participate in the endgame event in August.
All current and former characters will have the chance to join together in a grand effort alongside the draconic guardians of Geardagas and purge the remaining Cwyld from the continent. Next month's event log will happen on August 15th, but former characters can begin appearing as soon as August 1st, when we'll open up the comms.
Returning characters will come through their mirrors, which are still sitting in the mirror house, at any time between August 1-15 (IC dates). They can come through at any time of day, not only at 3am, causing confusion and chaos at the Coven. Though the Coven has no answers for them ICly, they will have a dream of a dark forest pulsing with un-life, and a distant, indistinct voice calling on them for help and pleading with them, calling them the heroes of Geardagas and asking them to return and lend their power as the world lies teetering at a dangerous balance and their help can tip the scale toward recovery.
- ENDGAME PLOT FAQ:
- Can I change my character from Monster to Witch or vice versa for their return?
Sure! If you want to swap them, or if you want your character to be more or less transformed than they were when they left, that's all up to player discretion. Have fun with it. No need to ask for mod permission.
- Will my returning character leave after August?
More details will be revealed in August's finale event, but the short answer is: not necessarily. Players will get to choose, based on plot details that will be revealed on August 15th.
- When will the game actually close?
There will be a final wrap-up in September, which will be informed by character choices in August. Comms will remain open, and former and current players can continue to enjoy the setting, wrap up threads, etc, but after September, there will be no mod-posted content.
- Will there still be check-in AC?
No. We won't be posting AC at all in July, August, or September. We don't want anyone to have to worry about getting swept, so everyone who wants to can participate in endgame as much or as little as they'd like.
- What about applications?
We won't be opening applications again going forward.
- Will there be new quests?
The calendar will go up next month, but there will be no further Quests. July marks the final month of Quests that will be put up by the mods.
