Yes, but in kind of a strange way. There's lots of rivers, and a huge underground reserve of water beneath the city. Some people say it's like a big water jug.

I don't know, friendly, normal people? [charming and pretty, too, but Midousuji knows there's no way Aerith would take it as objectively as he means it, and he'd get it turned around on him!!!] It's hard to imagine you wouldn't know a bunch of people. I just wouldn't expect it.

[Midousuji blinks. he's never considered it, because he's...never liked people like that before, so why would he give a crap if they ever felt whatever kind of way? especially when so many of them are so terrible. most of them...

his mind drifts to his former captain, and his eyes roll away, the top corner of his room suddenly quite fascinating to ogle. there's a gentle, tugging melancholy inside him that he doesn't know how to name; he feels it, ponders it, lets it pass. Midousuji doesn't ever really feel lonely, per se, even though he thinks he probably has more reason than most people to feel that way. if Aerith feels lonely, Midousuji wonders if Ishigaki does too. it's the first time he's ever considered it.

Midousuji then lifts his head to text again, having let his thoughts kick around a bit, not having intended to land himself on such an unfamiliar topic.

( and she doesn't always speak her mind, either, though he doesn't have to know that. it's a lot easier to pretend or to push things off, anyway - which is likely what she's doing, here. )

I haven't been here very long. About five months, or so...Maybe six? It feels like less time, somehow. Why do you ask?
