CR & FRIENDING MEME: MARCH 2021



Hello hello! It is time for another CR and plotting meme, with a side of plurk and discord sharing if you are so inclined!

A few quick notes and reminders:
• Aefenglom's March TDM is now live! Feel free to share it around and invite your friends!
• We have a brand-new game wiki! Pages are still being updated, and the FAQ on the game journal is being updated and simplified accordingly, but the wiki is alive and kickin' so go ahead and check it out! We know there's a lot of world and lore info that's built up over the game's lifetime, so we hope that the wiki format will be more easily searchable and user-friendly.
• Don't forget to check out this month's Quest Board!
• Also a note just in case: this meme encourages sharing your plurk and/or discord for plotting purposes, but it's by no means required! Anyone can participate, and it's totally okay if you don't have or don't prefer to share your plurk/discord!

Interests: what kind of shows/games/foods/etc are you interested in? share a little bit about yourself and maybe find someone else in the game into your new fave show or whatever floats your stoat!

Canon: what is/are their canon(s)?
Monster or Witch? is your character a witch? what do they specialize in? are they a monster? what kind?
Appearance: image links, text descriptions, or both! this is also a good place to describe any changes they've had since coming to the game
Brief: a few words you'd use to describe your character! nothing too fancy required
What is your character currently up to? what has your character been up to recently? how have they been doing the last month or two?
Plans for the month: what are you planning to do with your character this month? What are some quests you're looking into? Do you have any open top levels you want to link here?
Types of CR wanted: what kinds of CR are you on the lookout for? positive, negative, friends, mentor figures, someone to fight, someone to snuggle... etc etc
Any types of CR or situations you'd rather avoid? sometimes there's stuff we just don't jive with, and that's okay!

Great news! He leans so hard in that direction that he had opened up an entire bookshop to store his collection of books and other knickknacks (although, it is barely a shop because he is hostile with any customers, but he thinks it isn't very sporting to stop opening it).

I would be delighted to see how Aziraphale gets along with an Ascian, I won't lie. He's not very upfront about how old he is, but he is also a little obviously "out of time".

Sounds like it might be fun then! He's a little more explosive than the other two but he also never really got completely out of the mindset of YAY KNOWLEDGE. We'll just have to find a way to reveal Aziraphale's not just a bit of an odd acting mortal, which I'm sure we can somehow pull off..

Book collections are not for selling they are for reading, the sale sign is just an invitation for other people to drop off their unwanted tomes.

At the very least, Aziraphale is not very good at keeping himself together when very flustered. He has at least told one person by accident that he is an angel despite his whole thing of "I am a normal human, do not worry about it".

If Lahabrea isn't overly hostile or anything, he will keep talking to him until eventually it pops out.

Which is admittedly the hard part! He really, really doesn't like mortals, though he can at least usually pretend to be civil. I will find excuses.

Clearly this means we gotta find a very strange way for them to meet to help offset it!

I think I have a good idea for what might work as an opening; is his bookshop in Aefenglom or mostly back on Earth?

His bookshop is back on Earth! Comically, a previous Aziraphale player did have him open it up here but it was never taken over by anyone so it's abandoned. I have a thread planned for him to discover it and I plan to take over the space to run something else there! RECYCLE, REUSE, ETC—

Do you have any thoughts about the two of them possibly meeting while in a library?

I did have some thoughts to that effect; when Lahabrea bought his house it had Stuff in it and some of them could have well been old books with topics he had no interest in and thus offloading them elsewhere, libraries are fine for such a purpose. They are old of course but not old enough to be considered REALLY OLD when you're immortal. :|a but maybe a trigger for things.
