I might think they were trying to curry my favor to get close to the courts as they used to do before I went to Yharnam. In that case, maybe I'd be more suspicious than flattered, but hearing it on occasion isn't so bad.

Regardless of if they come from the courts, I'm more used to flattery being used to get people things they are ambitious for. But no, no real woe. [Her curiosity brought woe, the flattery was just expected of the nobles.]
