A Septeril celebration of freedom from oppression in sister city Dorchacht became a grim reminder of what the people were freed from a year ago when former Coven leader Morgana Drummond resurfaced. Crashing the party in a spectacular way, she cast a curse upon the city of Dorchacht, putting its native residents - every single one - into a deep, enchanted sleep. She disappeared as her followers and thralls tried to wreak havoc upon the sleeping citizens, only to be stopped by visiting Mirrorbound and Aefenglom's Coven.

Miss Nessie orchestrated a last-ditch effort in an attempt to wake the sleeping citizens of Dorchacht, by drawing on the Mirrorbounds' strange ability to share dreams. Volunteers harvested crystallized energy from a shared nightmarescape, and she believes they have just enough...

The Witches of Aefenglom's Coven come together to purify and prepare the condensed dreamscape energy, which will be used as quickly as possible to wake the sleeping citizens of Dorchacht. Luckily they find they have enough to breathe life back into their ally city, and when the people are woken, they are angry. Not at Mirrorbound or Aefenglom, of course, but at Morgana, for daring to show her face alive again.

It becomes quite clear that the next order of business needs to be tracking down and dealing with Morgana Drummond once and for all, but the two Covens cannot agree on an approach.

Dorchacht and its Circle of Three, plain and simple, want Morgana's head on a platter. They do not wish to make the same mistake they made last year in assuming the Wilde will finish her off. They want to end her legacy fully and decisively so that she can never return to threaten Dorchacht and their people. Meanwhile, Aefenglom's Miss Nessie and her people argue that she was once a part of their Coven, many years ago, and they should rein her in. They want to capture and imprison her in Aefenglom and strip her magic from her completely and permanently. They feel this will be enough to keep her from being a further threat and hope to wrest information from her - locked up in her head are decades of magical experience, after all. Both sides are up front about how they plan to handle the matter and it quickly becomes obvious it will come down to who finds her first, and who has the most help.

Mirrorbound will wind up being the deciding factor. The Coven that more Mirrorbound throw their support behind will be the one to ultimately find Morgana first and claim rights to her death or capture. They'll need to discuss among themselves and decide what method they think is best - a sound end to a reign of terror, or the potential to mine a very powerful Witch for information.

This an OOC vote, but please vote according to your character's stance and who they'll stand behind, if anyone! Leave your comment below, once per character, as this will determine her final fate in the event log. You have until Oct. 10th.

Regardless of which Coven is the one to confront Morgana Drummond, it's clear that it will not be easy to get to her, hidden away deep, deep into Dorchacht's more mountainous Wilde. She has bent the Wilde to her whims in many aspects, and there will be countless dangers along the way: Morgana's elemental clay men, animated beings of stone and clay that spark with electricity, blaze with fire, or crackle with ice; puzzling magical traps; a maze of dangerous, thorny plants; and of course the Cwyld, are all standing between you and the enemy.

It will be dangerous for everyone, but for un-Bonded individuals especially - her scorn for her broken Bond of servitude with The Dragon has led her to lay a particular curse on the land she inhabits now, that much more heavily affects those without the particular protection of a Bond. The magic weighs down one's limbs and mind, steadily more as they approach Morgana's grand, well-hidden manor in the Wilde, making each step torture. Closer to her location, whereas she used to block the Sisters from shining over Dorchacht, in her new domain she has created false full moons, which will send Witch magic and Monster instincts haywire - but those with Bonds will find it easier to control themselves. It cannot be fully predicted what defenses she has laid for herself, but temporary or permanent Bonds are highly encouraged for all deep Wilde missions regardless.

Both Covens will go after her, but the one to reach her first will be the one with the most assistance. With a tricky creature like Morgana Drummond, depending on her final fate, there could be unexpected effects in the future...
