Welcome to the Mirrorbound Council discussion post for the month of May! This is the space to discuss IC concerns from your characters that can be brought to Parliament by members of the Mirrorbound Council. Here are some quick facts!

• Membership in the Mirrorbound Council is open, so if your character is the type to get involved, you're more than welcome to sign up here.
• More information on the Council's history, current members, and motions can be found here.
• Each motion must be cosigned by 3 Council members.
• Each council member can only cosign 1 motion per month.
• As a result, there may be months where not all motions can be raised. In that case, motions will be brought to Parliament in the order of greatest IC support to least IC support.
• To suggest an IC motion, please post to the most appropriate heading below. Make sure to list the name of the character who would suggest it so they get credit!
• To support an IC motion, comment to the motion with either "+1" or some other indication of your character's support. There's no limit on how many motions each character can support, so be sure to check the whole post!
• All characters can suggest and support motions ICly — not just Council members! Consider this post an OOC representation of an open-forum style discussion open to all Mirrorbound. The goal is to get as many people involved as possible, both ICly and OOCly, so don't hesitate to chime in!
• The deadline to submit motions is May 15th. After submissions close, Council members will attach their names to motions and submit them to the mod team by May 25th.
• All OOC ideas and suggestions are welcome as well, so please hit us up!

For any ideas, questions, suggestions, brainstorming, etc!

There are a few past suggestions from the last couple of months that did not make it all the way to the execution stage but are really exciting, so I wanted to make sure to bring them up again!

1: Mirrorbound Patrol suggested by Asura. This is a very interesting idea that was brought up in March and ICly debated. The two sides were a Mirrorbound Patrol, parallel to but not answerable to the City Guard or Coven; or Mirrorbound officers integrated throughout the City Guard. OOCly I would not want to step on toes with this, but ICly Giorno would bring it up again at this month's Council meetings.

2. Let's throw a garden party, suggested by the Exarch. Building a community garden was more or less decided on as a good idea to bring forward to Parliament, with the bonus of throwing a garden party once the garden is established. Again, OOCly I would not want to step on toes but Giorno would bring it up again, because gardens.

3. Based on previous discussions here, we were thinking about putting together a couple of questions to ask the mods regarding the environment of Parliament, what motions they are pushing, opportunities to lend support in order to build bridges, etc. We had also discussed the possibility of a monthly game-wide contribution blurb to send to the mods along with the motions suggestions. It'd be great to get more input on these topics, as well as any questions that anyone would want answered when asking the mods about general Parliament attitudes at the moment. There are a LOT of good suggestions being brainstormed in this thread so any contribution is helpful!

Hey! :) Thanks for bringing up the Mirrorbound Patrol again.

On both an IC and OOC level, I'd rather postpone revisiting this motion until either June or July. Currently, Daenerys and Asura are addressing the Refugee community's need for security through a questline this month, and we'd like for this to play out before the motion for a Patrol is ICly brought to the Council again by either Asura, Daenerys, or both! This would allow for the quest premise (robberies, targeting both Mirrorbound and Refugees) to be brought before the Council for consideration, attesting to the need for a Patrol to begin with.

that totally makes sense! i missed that on the quest board, but that's a good idea. just wanted to make sure it was still on everyone's radar, but i'm excited to see how it goes when it comes up again!

Thank you for bringing up the gardens! The virus situation has completely killed my drive to RP (I work in grocery so you can imagine lol...) so I haven't actually done much planning. However, I can definitely draft a motion for June. If there is something else you guys would like me to include, please let me know. I would also mention the possibility of community-oriented exercises if this one goes well.

oh gracious. yeah that sounds incredibly draining, i don't blame anyone for not feeling rp right now but especially not given that work situation. like i said above, i am not trying to rush anybody and just wanted to make sure cool ideas don't fall by the wayside. whenever the motion goes up, i'm excited to see how it goes!

as far as the motion itself, i think the motion as it was presented in the original discussion feels pretty comprehensive so i don't have much to add! giorno will definitely support it icly and oocly if you need/want any assistance i am definitely around.

I swear it was March and then I blinked and suddenly it was May 18th. LOL. Time got away from me this month hard.
