Weather

Aguril rolls in on the tide of The Sisters' shadow - the new moons. Witches are cautioned against attempting too many spells - as the month rings in both the seasonal holiday and the phase of the moon in which Witches are considerably weaker and more prone to miscasts. However, mirrorbound who have spent some time in Aefenglom already will find themselves much more powerful on the new moons - and much hungrier to use their magic. Enthusiasm is no substitute for experience, however, and while emotions begin to run a little high, spells might go a little awry. The Sisters will have their full moons on the 15th of this month, returning to shadowed faces on the 30th. As for the climate, the cold weather that plagued much of Juril will stay through the first week of Aguril, though it will eventually fade into the muggy heat the city is infamous for. Scattered rain is expected throughout the month as the southern side of Geardagas enters its rainy season - such conditions are expected to last until winter starts to creep in.

Additionally, the mods would like to clarify and remind everyone of a few things regarding activity!

• You must get your activity in before the check ends, which will always be 11:59 PM EST at the end of the month.
• Proofs must be at least two separate proofs. To clarify further, that means if you had a closed log where you had two separate threads with two separate people, you'll still need to offer up a link outside of that. This is just our way of encouraging people to tag others! That's what being in a game is all about.
• Also, while nothing says you can't tag just your castmates, we do keep an eye on that; additional proofs will be asked for if this is a trend in a character's submitted activity.

SPEED DATING EVENT!


Starting around Juril 25th, these posters will start appearing around the Haven. They are for a speed dating event, as advertised here, which is being run by Steven Universe, and several other people who are helping. Essentially, Steven is trying to get together 10 witches and 10 monsters to meet and explore if they are Bond compatible. Currently the roster is thus:

10/10 WITCHES and 10/10 MONSTERS
The specific sign ups are here and will be updated! So obviously, right now we could really use some Witch participants! Newbies and oldbies are both welcome - if you are new and want to participate, you can base your entry on whether or not your character has passed the magical potential test. If your character has magical potency, they're a witch! If they don't, someone will inform them that probably means they're a monster. Why not start ahead and work on finding a Bond before things get crazy?

THE COMPULSION TWIST:
Yako is helping with advertising, and in her attempts to create an enchantment that will draw attention to the posters, she has accidentally created a compulsion! This means, those that look at the posters will feel the urge to sign up, even if that's not something they would normally do. This is to create an excuse for people to participate even if their character would usually refuse. It can also potentially cause drama, if anyone figures it out.

EVENT RULES:

• All participants will start the log by making a top level.
• On the event log, each Monster and Witch will be given 2 members of the opposite type to tag.
• Each pair can have some quick conversations, lasting about 5 minutes in game. Doing comment spam styles tags is encouraged, but really, you can do whatever you want. There will be "conversation starters" supplied.
• Besides the two people you tagged (and the two people who will ideally tag you) you can reply to as many others as you want.
• After the main event, there will be a mingling session that will last the rest of the night.
• Pairs that have both 'liked' each other will receive each other's watch contact info.
