Mary's first impression of Giorno was colored by delicious desserts and the fact that Giorno provided them. He was a welcome and super sweet existence that deserved high praise for even existing!

Now, Mary is a bit confused. Giorno is more of a mystery the more Mary learns about him. But that also leads Mary to want to learn more, and that's still a very new feeling for him.

poor mary :( giorno strives to be an enigma but he isn't actually intending to confuse mary specifically. FOR ONCE. curiosity is good tho!!

Haha! Mary is slower than most. He's very easy to confuse! But curiosity is wonderful, and kind of wanting to pay back that one guy who stopped him (and also sometimes wears dresses) is amazing.

Now: Actually he's pretty alright. Not having any morality bickering to do is always a plus for continued roommate living situations.

giorno managed to make a very positive impression with ozy right out the gate because this world is generally so doom and gloom (and with good reason), but shit just can't be that way all the time??? sometimes you have to stop and party and idk add a little dang gold to your color palette.

also: it's not that he hasn't noticed that giorno's a little prickly towards other people and doesn't seem particularly keen on playing with the other kids, it's that he Does Not Care. so he will continue to just disregard that and continue dad-ing this child.
