Steven's first impression of Bendy was that he looks like a cartoon but he didn't want to assume that was the case when maybe his species just looks like that!

At this point he's pretty sure it's something like that, though. Bendy seems like he got pulled from a world pretty different from this one.

The biggest thing at first was that she was a type of alien he'd never met before, which was pretty revolutionary at the time - and one that had some similar experiences and heritage, too! He started off inclined to like her despite how depressing she can be, and his opinion had only gotten stronger the longer he's known her.
