There is no response Elidibus expected. There is... concern but also interest in the dragon's behavior. This, he realizes, may be what Lahabrea experiences when his mind is subsumed by the draconic instincts during a full moon. It might indeed be a little pointless to hold an actual conversation while he's in this state. Yet... Lahabrea is not hostile. Nor is he immediately leaving, letting the ground walkers to their fate.
But Lahabrea is restless and so the witch makes his decision. Stepping forward, "Your pardon, then," Elidibus utters. His axe is secured to his back in a familiar, smooth motion. An estimate is made and confidently executed, making use of the shoulder and strong feathers to haul himself onto the dragon's back.
He sought to settle quickly, thus his earlier assessment had been made with position in mind. Somewhere to rest which would support his weight and not impede the wings... and where he might be most securely seated. Gear for such flights might well have been discussed before, but no such thing existed now.
Taking a second grip, Elidibus lowers himself close to Lahabrea's back. His bondmate will sense his readiness even before a token few words are voiced. "I am ready, Lahabrea."
As ready as he'll ever be for this maiden flight. Perhaps it is just as well that this is a dream.
