[Being from Exandria maybe gives him a leg up on the weirdness adjustment period, here...but only some of one. For one, his familiarity with feathery folk is mostly limited to the odd Kenku or two, (which Zack is clearly not,) but he can catch that this guy is looking a little worse for wear. Not as bad as some of the unfortunate folk from the settlement, sure, and thank the gods for that. But certainly worth getting him an evac from the angry mob much sooner than later.

Of course Fjord maybe failed to account for the fact that Zack isn't at all going to know to anticipate his favorite method of dropping a distraction on things in a tight spot. ...and maybe he also failed to account for the fact that this guy might be tempted to stay and help out the people who'd had him at torch-and-pitchforks a moment ago. There's a tense beat of uncertainty there where he half-expects an argument on the matter of getting-out-of-Dodge. Luckily, it doesn't come.
