Character Name: L Lawliet Canon: Death Note Appearance: Male, white-passing scrawny guy. L is 27 after a couple of years to age in Aefenglom but still has kind of a rangy adolescent look about him. He's 5'10-ish but most people get a shorter impression because he slouches. His nutrition and sleep are terrible (though getting a little better with persistent help from others); he looks pale and unhealthy. Overall his grooming habits are like a solid D minus, up from a solid F pre-Aef, so kudos I guess. He wears whatever's more or less in style for young men in Aef's middle class, albeit plain and simple versions of these fashions, and he has a scar around the base of each finger where they were cut off and then, several months later, reattached. Brief: Back home, L was the world's greatest detective. Reclusive and eccentric, he solved some of the world's toughest cases from childhood with his face and name unknown to the world, and ultimately met his match when some upstart brat with a god complex picked up a magic notebook and the lead role in a Shinigami's reality TV show.
Here in Aefenglom L has tried on a lot of hats. He is a skilled runetcher, a witch whose talents lie primarily in divination and illusion magic, and he helps out at the orphanage when he can. Lately with the debut of his favorite frenemy it's become clearer to him that he is a pure artist with a passion that he is unhappy when he isn't pursuing, and has returned to detective work alongside Light Yagami. Choice: WITCH Bonds: Myr, Near, and Leer Light Event Plans: L and Light have been attending meetings, playing the parts of a younger individual interested in what Alder has to say, and an older skeptic to act as a counterbalance. They've kept their occupation on the DL, and will be sneaking into the party to spring some prisoners and prevent some sacrifices from happening. L at least will argue in favor of staying to preserve evidence, and he'll be available and willing to use divination to try to unscramble some brains.
I'm cool with L getting injured since he's partnered with a healer, so if anyone wants to pop him one let me know. Otherwise I'm delegating this to an NPC.
