Event Log: What Lies Beneath / OOC TRACKER
- Welcome to the OOC post for this month's event! Like with our previous stints, we've decided to use the good ol' city tracker again to help us track all recorded going-ons easily.
Just find the thread that correlates to what city your characters' actions are in and post using the form below. Feel free to see past tracker posts for examples! Some of the things we want to hear about include: intel delivered to the Coven, significant interactions with NPCs, attempts to solve any problems that exist, trouble your characters get into, attempts at snooping, anything that may affect relations with the Underground! While we're leaving this up entirely to player discretion - and we mean that, so please don't ask us - just remember: even small actions can have great consequences, good and bad.

Action: What your character did
Overall Effect: Was it overall a positive outcome, or a negative one? You can rate this on a scale of 1 to 5 if you'd like, or leave it vague, like "Somewhat positive" or "Definitely a bad time" and so on. Please explain your reasons for this as clearly as possible.
Proof: The thread it occurred in; if you have plans for it to happen within a thread you're still currently threading out, then you can link that here instead! You may handwave certain things, but don't expect you'll be able to do that with things that will cause a larger impact (e.g. handwaving beating up some NPCs vs murder). Remember, even the smallest action can help or hurt someone.
The cut-off for posting to this entry is July 12th, so please ensure you get it in before then! And as a reminder, we can't do anything if you don't report it, as we don't have the time to read through every thread to completion. If you'd like consequences for your characters, or for something that affects the whole game to be game canon, then you must inform us in some way, be it on here or privately. Thank you!

Choice: Witch
Action: Iskandar fight with a local Chimera in the Arena.
Overall Effect: Positive. He won but as a experience warrior was able to provide a few suggestions for the defeated Chimera that could increase his chances in the next fights. So that's more of a learning experience for the defeated party than a crushing failure.
Proof: Fight taking place here. The thread is still ongoing but I plan to have him win so Jin Guangyao doesn't have to fight his honorary match. The guy Iskandar defeted was a young Chimera that initially tried to challenge Jin Guangyao.

Choice: Monster (Puca)
Action: Sylvia had a chat with the Matriarch.
Overall Effect: Sylvia thinks it was a positive experience! The two of them had a respectful conversation that resulted in The Matriarch even giving Sylvia a knife with her seal on it. The Matriarch also seemed impressed with Sylvia for coming prepared and having done her research. Overall a pleasant conversation.
Proof: Here. Thread is still ongoing but I think it might wrap up soon.

Choice: Puca and Harpy for the other two
Action: Sylvia went to the library to read some scrolls and ended up leaving a lot of the ones she skimmed through on the ground, much to the librarians' chagrin.
Overall Effect: Half-bad, half-good. It was bad because she kind of pissed off the librarians by not handling the scrolls delicately, but Lio and Yuma both came in individually to help her tidy up and put them back where they belonged.

Choice: Merrow, Witch, Witch, Puca
Action: Yelled at a shopkeeper to lower his prices...
Overall Effect: Pretty much negative. Momo and Azura both told Lance to cool his jets while Trucy played along and pretended like she and Lance desperately needed the jacket. Either way, the shopkeeper wasn't too happy with being yelled at. Oops!

Action: Blew up an abandoned building, killing himself in the process.
Overall Effect: Relatively negative, but maybe like a 2.5 on the scale at most. An attempt was made to keep anyone else from being hurt.
Proof: Here (As of this moment the actual explosion hasn't occurred, but the setting has been decided, and the thread will wrap up in a few more comments or so.)

Choice: Monsters - Fae and Puca
Action: Took part in a brawl
Overall Effect: 2.5 in that they were in a brawl. But they didn't start it. The npc naga challenged Mtt, then Mikasa accidentally escalated it by telling them to hurry up and clear off. Mtt tried to finish the fight but the naga wasn't happy about that, then the crowd got involved.

Choice: Monster (Harpy)
Action: Visited with the Matriarch
Overall Effect: He would assume it was a positive experience. They were both relatively polite about it, and there was a meaningful exchange of information that may act in laying a working foundation between the Underground and the Coven (or the outside world as a whole). Discussions of the library pending, but unlikely will result in an overall tone shift.

Choice: Monster (Turnskin)
Action: Waver spent some time poking around the library and asking natives about the moss and their beliefs about it and how it works, etc. He took some scrapings of moss on the DL and smuggled them out of the city in his clothes. He will be trying to grow them at home in his alchemy lab and researching their properties, with the goal of figuring out how the Cwyld resistance of the moss works and trying to isolate it.
Overall Effect: HMM. Maybe slightly negative for the Underground if anyone notices...? Overall pretty neutral unless his research bears fruition, though.
Proof: thread in the library discussing this plan (this is still in progress). Also, this mod questions thread, if it counts!

Choice: Witch
Action: Chatting up the Underground merchants/generally trying to establish a positive rapport with the marketplace regulars and gather information.
Overall Effect: Overall positive - Momo himself is generally very approachable so he had an easy time interacting with many of them, and came in to help out with a few situations where Mirrorbound maybe weren't having quite as much luck with them to smooth things over and keep things generally on the right track.
Proof: Thread w/ Lance, Keith, Soren are the threads it's most relevant in.
Action: Helped round up some loose wormipedes.
Overall Effect: Positive, the wormipedes were rounded up harmlessly with some food from the cave walls and choice use of barrier magic.
Proof: Thread w/ Shinjiro
Action: Library session - talked with the librarians a bit and tried to help some other Mirrorbound with the filing system to prevent any issues (including intervening in a potential theft in one instance) while researching local history and culture.
Overall Effect: Overall positive, he was very chill with the librarians and put everything back where it came from...and kept his general confusion about the filing system out of earshot...
Proof: Thread w/ Daenerys, Zelda
Action: Audience with the Matriarch
Overall Effect: Positive, Momo was largely focused on establishing grounds for continued relations with the surface and offered the Matriarch relevant information that would make it more appealing for her to not limit herself to the Mirrorbound, even if he was a little more formal than he needed to be about it until the end.

Choice: Monsters (Dragon & Turnskin)
Action: Soren tended to turn down any challengers who wanted to test their mettle against one of these so-called Dragons they keep hearing about. Juza, on the other hand, took on one of these challengers in his stead and won the fight.
Overall Effect: Somewhat negative and mostly positive in different regards. Soren's declinations to Monsters who wanted to fight him likely earned him (and possibly Dragons overall) a bad reputation among some circles of Underground citizens, mainly Monsters. Juza taking on one of these challengers in his stead earned him respect.
