[ Akechi's not usually someone to notice or mind when a conversation takes an awkward turn (else he wouldn't have blurted out his backstory to a near stranger and total stranger) but it suddenly strikes him that this conversation is... rather uncomfortable. Especially once he's reminded that really is just the two of them here.

It doesn't help that he can't really read what Akira's reactions are about. With his recent arrival and such minimal physical changes there are a few Monsters Akira could have ended up as, so Akechi can't even guess if that's related or not. ]

... Aefenglom itself is much better run and maintained than this place, and far more accommodating to newcomers. I don't think you'll have a hard time adjusting once we wake up.
