The way Yusuke so bluntly asks such a significant question is... impressive, but annoying. It reminds him of Ryuji. Still, he maintains that polite-but-bland sort of smile.

"It's not a decision to be made lightly. I can make do with familiars for the time being--" Not that he has one yet, but it's on his list. "--so I'd rather rely on them until I can find a reliable partner of my own."

Hopefully Yosuke won't read between the lines and realize Akechi has Bond because he has no friends - but the discussion of a 'reliable partner' will hopefully make for a good distraction, since Yosuke seems so anxious about his own. Though the description of Yu is... a little intense. 'Short end' is no joke.

"A Chimera, yes?" Akechi's not sure what else he would be. Turnskin or Faun fit some of the other parts, but not all three. "What's his name?"
