Well, the general consensus of the modern natives is that the goddesses don't exist. So, either they are real goddesses, who haven't been seen in ages, or they aren't goddesses and unleashed something that snowballed past their lifetime, or goddesses or not the Cwyld sprang up from some other source and was misattributed. It's a mystery that's taking a lot of untangling.
