[ Reynir doesn't hear Emil muttering about him, but he does hear the approaching footsteps, and turns to see who is coming, glad for the telltale sounds of another human being in this place. He is expecting Onni, maybe even Lalli, but instead: ]

[ The relief in his voice and on his face is unmistakable, even though he keeps his voice low so he doesn't draw the attention of those creatures. Emil looks irritated, but not scared. He doesn't have that look that Reynir has seen in the past before, when shit was about to get real. So he is already calming down a little even before Emil tells him they are just strange bugs, not infected, not a danger.

Reynir is a creature of impulse. He had been crouching here, scared and alone and he can't remember the last time he was so glad to see someone. So, without hesitation or self-consciousness, he stands up and flings his arms around Emil, hugging him in tight, frantic joy. ]

I am so, so, so glad to see you!

[ Reynir lets go of Emil quickly, knowing he will probably be irritated by the display of affection but not really caring all that much at the moment. ]
