[Dreams are always Absolute Nonsense, and this one more so than others. Perhaps it's the sheer exhaustion of staying up more than 24 hours straight again, following Noctis throughout the wilderness of Cleigne. Or maybe it's a result of some of the caverns they'd explored into in search of long-hidden tombs. Whatever the reason, the result is the same:
He's a giant spider in a bizarre, unknown cave, watching large worms trundle their way around softly glowing crystals.
By far one of the most ridiculous dreams he's had in years. He'd never known his subconscious to be so creative.
More than anything, Ignis will be primarily observing. With both his normal eyes, and also those smaller, jet-black, perfectly round ones positioned around the originals: two above each eyebrow and one just above each cheekbone. His long, black, hard-chitined legs help him move carefully and near silently through the cavern, even occasionally traipsing up onto the wall or ceiling. Perhaps you've found yourself Captured by the worms and in need of someone immune to the clinging, sticky residue to free you. Or maybe you're looking a little like prey yourself.
If he's to spend the entirety of his sleep here in this cave, he may as well see what has been laid out for him here, Even if that means silently sidling up on a fellow dreamwalker, only to outright question them:]
And what's your role here? [said with little but a faint sense of amusement, like someone casually being entertained.]
The Procession [Harpy- Cockatiel]
[When the first frail, elderly woman is absorbed by the moss, the crest of feathers along the sagittal line of his head fully extends, revealing the shock and faint alarm that he's perfected keeping from his face. All the rest of his feathers bristle. It's clearly some sort of ritual of these cave-dwelling people, the beasts feeding what appears to be elderly humans to the moss--- and it's clearly something the woman takes pride in, based on her expression and the sheer collected peace she exudes throughout it all.
It's not his place to question or comment on the rituals of another culture. But this is something uniquely eerie, and as the boat passes, he can't help but murmur:]
Ghastly.
[There's no trace of her aside from the slow movements and pulsing of whatever may have been being absorbed by the moss. Digested.. His talons clutch to the seat of the boat he's perched in, and despite himself he continues watching as the next approaches, the expression of honor in every participant as a snake woman in ceremonial armor assists the next aged person to meet their fate at what is quite literally the veil.]
Finally, civilization! [Witch]
[After everything before, there's something assuredly wholesome about being in town and having young monsters running up and asking to 'bond.' A young girl with a bulbous thorax showcasing the doily she'd spun of her own silk. A teenage boy spreading his feathers and bounding from side to side to show off the dance he's been perfecting all year. He can't help but smile, lifting a gloved hand to press at his glasses.]
While I thank you for your proposition, I'm afraid I'm already bound in service. [The group of young monsters he's been entertaining let out a collective noise of disappointment.]
But that is some wonderful weaving you've done. I'm sure anyone will be lucky to have bound to you.
[Look, at this typically way-too-intense man, being cute with the kidlet monsters.
Though that doesn't seem to be the end of his bonded troubles. Even the older members of the community seem to rush over and cluck over him, a man walking by himself through the city. Clearly with such confidence and such a put-together demeanor he must be out seeking a monster of equal power to bond with! And so you may find yourself dragged over by a particularly nose neighbor type, as though to try and match-make a bond here and now.]
[ooc; i'm just here to have a good time and test him out in this setting! tag me with whatever, lets gooooo. And if you want a certain prompt with a different monster/witch type just let me know! I love any and all of them.]
