Bond Slots: 1/3 - occasionally 2, if she's going out into the Wildes and Kaede is also going, and they think they might need a Bond to keep safe and exacerbate the potential for Violence. However, that tends to be extremely temporary, and she'd stop doing it if she filled all 3 of her regular slots. It's just a safety measure.

Bond: Alex Benedetto
Status: Permanent, active, fluffy and cute. (Bet'cha never thought I'd use those words in conjunction with Maria) She's taking it to a romantic slant pretty heavily, especially lately. It's courting, thank you, and she's very attached to her fish. Even with the fish trauma she has.
Info: Maria keeps most things close to her chest, but she's not really shy about it? She just doesn't go broadcasting it from the rooftops. She'll say so if asked, but... no one is usually brave enough to ask. Especially since she spent so long being perfectly willing to die rather than Bond anyone at the start. And now, well... uh. She prefers her privacy, though, so don't expect her to like... gush over people in public unless something weird has happened with spells or potions.

Plans: She's happy as she is, for the most part. There's some Stuff gonna go down later, but you know, traumas have to come out eventually when you're empathetically linked to someone.
Plotting: ??? It's an uphill battle to get her to want more than the one - she has a Monster to balance her out and get rid of the worst of the awful headaches and hallucinations and potential to explode, but I won't say it's entirely impossible. She just has to know and be comfortable enough with someone to allow them in her mind. This is not an easy task, but it is possible. Since she has a Monster, she'd be up, as well, for a Witch/Witch Bond since it would be good for bolstering power but not as much of a risk of her hurting herself.

As for types of Bonds... it kinda depends on the character. She can do platonic or not, it just kinda depends on their dynamic, and she's fine with either way.

Maria's "type" tends to be the kinder, gentler souls that help bring out that own side of her, which yes, does exist. She also does well with people with self-esteem issues, because if she takes a liking to them, she'll do what she can to empower them or at least soothe the worst of it. Anyone who needs a nice, calm mind to even out anxieties, or high-strung energy is also welcome, so long as they make a good first impression anyway. She is slightly less inclined toward Turnskins (Beasts and Hunters), and Merrow (Fishing Hamlet shenanigans), and slightly more keen on Vampires (Vilebloods are easier to deal with), and Witches/characters that look more human than not.

As a note, Maria has some pretty vivid nightmares, so the closer the Bond gets, the more horrifying you're going to find her past. It is not a past of "bad things done to her", it is a past of "bad things she did, and the consequences thereof", so her traumas run on the opposite side of a lot of people's. She has been a villain before, and suffered the consequences of it. Also Bloodborne is just one of those canons that has a lot of really awful shit that happens in it, so there's a LOT of things to unpack and try to work through.

On that note, the main point of me posting this is that I really want to do something with the too many bonds mechanic. Emil is a softie and has a lot of good CR (as I mentioned before) and if anyone wants to go through the angst and heartache of Emil impulsively taking on too many bonds and dealing with the fallout, I would love to play it. He's exactly the type who would be that brand of foolish.

Plans: This far, Stiles has avoided Bonding due to how invasive the connection sounds. He has some serious emotional baggage that he’s terrified of friends finding out about, which will become inevitable once he Bonds. The next full moon in April is going to force him to, nevertheless. After experiencing the severity of a feral state, Stiles will form a threeway Bond with Jonas Ward (Witch) and Sasuke Uchiha (Vampire).
Plotting: I’m 100% down to plot for the remaining two spots (Stiles definitely wouldn’t go over the recommended limit). Unfortunately, he’ll require further coaxing because he wants it to be a “one and done” kind of situation. The less people he needs to share trauma with the better, in his opinion. But if you’re interested in your character pursuing a Bond with Stiles, hmu! So long as there is organic CR between the characters, we can figure out a way to have Stiles commit to more Bonds. I would love to have all three Bond spots used at some point. Maximum CR potential.

Status: just the best of bros, ok. Their bond is active and actually way less gay than they act, even if there's a lot of face touching.
Info: Shinji and Louis bonded very very early on! Within a month of arriving, I believe, out of practicality. Louis didn't want to explode, Shinjiro didn't want to go feral, and they seemed to get along decently in their 2 conversations beforehand, SO THEY DID IT. The vow (on Shinji's end) was to promise to try not to die again. They are both messes and that was the highest bar they could set at the time. But he values Louis as one of his closest friends in Aefenglom, knows the guy is a mess inside, but that's ok, because he's a mess too. They can be a mess together and don't shame each other for their shittier inclinations. They like to bicker and give each other shit, and honestly that just makes this place feel nice and normal.


Bond 2: Fie Claussell (Monster)
Status: Was friend when initially bonded, now they are ???dating??? Active bond!
Info: Shinji planned on just having one bond, and only with a witch because it was just utilitarian, but he, Louis, and Fie all temp bonded to go do a risky operation in the black market. Afterwards they decided to keep it. Fie is blunt and forthright and unafraid of her own feelings, which is a HUGE CONTRAST to Shinjiro-- and through this, he's been encouraged to try and feel okay about his own. After a few months, they started dating, even if it's low key and they don't try and fit into any traditional formats. She's the most emotionally competent of the trio, and really shinjiro has no idea how he'd be without her, at this point. Which sounds WAY SAPPIER than it actually is.


Both Bonds: Shinjiro doesn't keep either of his bonds private-- he feels they're just a normal part of life here, and that it's nothing to lie about or keep a secret. More than anything, he just sees the connection as routine, and doesn't understand why people shy away from it. (Except for the time they accidentally got some lewdness filtered over through the bond, then he understood.)

Plans: I have no current plans for additional bonds, but I certainly wouldn't say no to them! Shinjiro would just have to be convinced, especially now that he has 2, and he would likely avoid another monster bond so as to not put more stress on his feeding from Louis's magic.
Plotting: THAT SAID, if someone did want to bond with him, that'd be fine! It would just take a while to play out, hahaha. He'd be more willing with a witch, and since he's not in a bind or at risk of going feral, he'd be choosier. He knows he exudes a constantly low-key self loathing, that he's not good at filtering what a bonded gets from him, et cetera. He mostly would want someone who can deal with their own shit and not pry when his possibly bleeds over.

Plans: I have no solid plans for bonds at the moment! Hector has moved past the 'Need to bond with others? Sounds fake, but ok' phase. He is sitting pretty sadly in the 'acknowledging he needs a bond but doesn't believe anyone will have him' camp. Progress!
Plotting:
Hector is very inexperienced when it comes to any kind of actual relationship, and he's going to be approaching bonds cautiously. He will eventually need to bond with a witch in order to stabalize, but he's opening to monster bonds as well. I am open to any type of bond if our characters have chemistry together. It's also fine doing a temp/trial basis bond!

Must Love Pets. Potential bondmates must be vetted by his dog, Cezar, and if they aren't open to having animals running around, things aren't going to work long term.

Status: Permanent, active, the best of bros. Friends. They're not actually married, they just joke about it.
Info: They Bonded not long after their first full moon, so within a month of being here. They thought that it would be a good, practical idea, and ended up becoming friends in the process of it. They're a good balance to each other, and not afraid to tease each other because they just are that good of friends. He would absolutely commit murder for him and die for him (despite their Bond Vows basically being "Don't Die"). Shinjiro is one of a very few number of people Louis trusts, values, and cares about as much as he does here. He's not shy about being bonded to him, either. And is okay with them having a bit of messy feelings deep down because he's a little messy, too. One of his best friends in Aef, if not his best. Though he's also not afraid to call him out of if he's being a dumbass.


Bond: Fie Claussell (Monster)
Status: Permanent, active, and prank buddy and troll friend. He's always rooting for her.
Info: Like Shinjiro, Fie's one of the very small number of people Louis trusts, values, and respects. They had a temporary bond (Shinjiro, Fie, and Louis) for risky business, and once they realized they liked the way it - they made this permanent. Fie brings out the more playful side of Louis, and she's a dear friend to him. He would definitely call her one of her his best friends, too. He likes how she can handle herself and isn't afraid to be like "you're stupid". Most people historically have been too afraid of him to call him out on stupid shit in the past. He would absolutely murder for her or die for her - though he knows she can handle herself. He respects her strength a lot, and trusts her with his life.

Plans: I have no solid plans for additional bonds right now, and Louis doesn't plan for one, either. Louis has strong personal preferences, and would only bond with a Monster.

Plotting: While I say Louis has no plans, I'm still open to Monsters for him (he will actively reject Witches at first). With proper character development, though, even Witches would be possible. He will not bond with anyone just right away. Would prefer active character development before considering. He got to be closer to his first bonds after bonding (and he's glad to have them and adores them both), but will go into his last bond knowing the person pretty well. He will require some sort of development first. If current CR want to pursue this path, let me know and we can start working to get the development he'll need there.

Status: It's a new bond, but permanent as far as she's concerned, and a Witch-Monster bond, which means they're fairly well-balanced. Aerith cares about Cloud a lot and wants him to do and be well here! On occasion she will take on a temp Bond when going on a quest or mission, but as her slots fill I suspect she'll do less of that.
Info: Aerith will be fairly open about the fact that she has a Bond, and her Bonded. That isn't the sort of secret she feels that she has to keep. It is not a romantic bond (not yet anyway) but they're both kind of in a "it's complicated" status (they have a ton of pre-Aef baggage), and so if pressed she'll just say that they're friends. Sometimes she gushes about him but it's to let everyone know that he's very sweet and a nice guy once you get to know him! She's embarrassing.

Plans: None just yet. She's settling in, and getting the feel of the empath bond/memory fuckery that will happen over time in her Bond, but she's genuinely pretty happy about it.
Plotting: Aerith is the sort of character who would gel really well in a multi-bonded situation, and I would like one (or even a couple) of her Bonds to be romantically tinged? But not all of them, and it would take a while for any of them to get there. She is open, very gentle, loving, and exceedingly understanding, but stubborn, brave and at times impatient, so she works the best with more reticent, guarded people, or even just the very shy or reserved. Aerith looks dainty but grew up in the slums and is street smart, clever and cunning, so she doesn't shy away or balk at much.

I'm hemming and hawing over the idea of her taking on too many Bonds (either temporarily or permanently) and dealing with the fallout of that, but for the time being I'd say she'll stick with just the three she's allotted. I would like these to be permanent bonds! I'm very interested in the exploration of shared memories and emotions that the Bonds entail, as well as some of the hurdles that come with navigating the moon cycles. A Witch-Witch bond at some point would be radical because that power rush tho.

Word of warning - Iramaat is clingy and will likely want the bond to trend more toward the romantic, because she's a bit of a pill and at times not much of a nice person. She tends to prefer the "maiden" type, but she's also very much into knights, fighters, people who work with their hands, etc. She has a very romantic personality overall. Could definitely be interested in the right platonic bond, though! Ideally a witch, but a monster will do fine in a pinch.

Info: Now with 80% less unhealthy projection! Still happens a little, though. Ursula's striking similarities to Vanille occasionally trips over a lot of baggage. They've been Bonded for the better part of year now. Fang typically doesn't gush about her, but will definitely talk if prompted to. Mess with Ursula (or her kids) at your own risk; Fang's normally overprotective as hell, and being a Turnskin has only amplified this.

Plans: Fang's taking it easy this month, mostly with tying up loose things from the last two months. She's still picking up pieces from the Snatched plot, but Fang's finally returning to her old self.
Plotting: That said, Fang's been here from the start and still has only one Bond :| She's reluctant to perma-Bond, but after watching too many people destroy themselves over not bonding, she's taken to threatening to shove temp potions down people's throats. She'll temp-bond at the drop of a hat, if your character is desperate or wary about Bonds.

That said, I definitely do want to find another Witch to work towards perma-Bonding with this volatile woman.

Plotting: So Percy might take the prize for going longest without a bond (10 months and counting!) because he's an idiot. It's a combination of not trusting that type of magic and also being convinced that his soul is so damaged that no one should get stuck being tied to it. Also he's pretty sure he's dead so nothing really matters anyway. Like I said, an idiot.

That said, I'd love for it to actually happen at some point! It will just take some CR building, probably. And also dealing with Percy being Percy. I'm sorry in advance.

Plans: So Momo's that quality flavour of "I don't want to inflict my problems on anyone else" stubborn, so he's likely to be holding out as long as possible at not getting a bond (he might be getting familiars instead for a while) unless he gets a monster castmate somehow or needs to bond to help someone else. He's likely to leave one slot open once he finds out three is the maximum just in case his partner ever shows up, but besides that I'd definitely be into finding people he could bond with when he finally caves and the risk becomes too high for him to keep refusing to bond (or finds people who might also refuse to bond long enough that he could need to bond to help them with it).
Plotting: Right now I'm here to eyeball temp bonds for future events and potential permanent bonds that might take a few months to happen! In terms of bonds I'd be after a monster initially but I'm definitely not against having a witch-witch bond alongside one, 2/3 slots max for aforementioned reasons unless it's temp bonds in which case he'd take all 3 slots temporarily if he needed to. Momo would exclusively be platonic or familial bonding because he's got a relationship status: it's complicated (but not in a bad way) situation back home. He's very much a helper so he'd honestly be extremely likely to bond to help out another person, whether to power them up or if it's someone stubborn or antisocial who he thinks needs the balance of someone looking out for their health (like...he also needs...laughs...). He's very cheerful and sociable himself so he gets on with most people quite well, even if he can be quite pushy if he thinks someone needs help and is refusing it. As far as a permanent bond goes I'd particularly like people who can call Momo out on his relentless concealing of his negative emotions or help him see himself in a better light because he's still working on that, temp bonds can be anyone really but people he can get to know better or see different sides of through the temp bond are always fun.

Info: her loyal knight from back home who is endlessly in love with her. jorah is the only one who has stuck by her side and saw her rise from the ashes of tragedy and still, even through monster transformations and no feasible way home, serves her. dany would be lost without him and she's learning that the more she can feel his emotions and love for her. luckily for him after some intimate moments, she's realizing that she loves him too so.

Info: the king of kings pairs nicely with the dragon queen. they challenge each other with underlining sexual tension that one could cut with a knife. she has valued his council and appreciates the power he has given her by being a witch bond! there's a healthy back and forth that they don't take each other's bullshit but they genuinely seem to wish the best for one another.


Plans: nothing too crazy. just kind of involved in council stuff, building the farmlands outside of aefenglom, and deepening her cr. drogon is here as a little baby dragon from like season 2/3 sizing, but will gradually be growing larger... dany herself will also begin to actively learn to shift to her full dragon form. because of this focus on plans, her third bond slot is kind of low priority even if i would like to have her benefit most from having another witch bond!

Plotting: i'm fairly always flexible even if i get slow during the week because of work. if there is any interest in developing cr to a witch-monster bond, please let me know if you're interested in working on that over the next few weeks/month or two! dany is all about freedom so she would want there to be agreements in place that benefit both parties. :')

Plotting: He's making some slow, slow steps in just talking interest, but I'd love his conflict over it to be good for CR fostering and maybe have some fun with people offering different perspectives on their Bonds or how to go about Bonding. I'm looking at more of a slow burn with him since he is coming off of some heavy betrayal and is still learning to cope, but Bonding could be an interesting way to handle that. Building friendships in steps would also be great.

(She currently doesn't know how to translate such old writing, but she wants to have it in case it rises in her priorities.) As Mikasa was a fellow "no permanent Bonds Wildes adventurer" as she headed out to do odd jobs at the outpost. Annulled after either Leslie's cavenetures or Mikasa's work was done. Neither are gunning for any permanent bonds, after all.

Bond: the living shadows wot follows she around
Status: Familiar. (That's like half a bond, right??)
Info: Leslie's missed the connection she had with the shadows when she had her magic back home, so she asked Hubert for help letting her set up a familiar bond with the shadows. Now the shadows are super obvious every time they follow her out in her normal shadow, which is more often than not. Yes, she's gone for her Cwyld inspections, like before and after she ever set foot outside the wall and also sometimes when someone at the Coven gets nervous. These aren't infection shadows, she promises.

Plans: In-universe, Leslie knows she will need a permanent bond eventually, but it's a problem for tomorrow's Leslie for now. She hates bothering people and likes to keep her worries to herself, which would both be complicated by a bond. She might wear her heart on her sleeve when in a comfortable environment, but she can sometimes keep the intensity of her feelings under wraps: for example, she would have a lot of trouble hiding when she's worrying about something, but she could hide that she's one mistake short of completely falling to pieces -- if she doesn't have a bond. She's extended her deadline of "explosion danger" a bit by the familiar ritual and making temporary bonds when out in the Wilde, but she thinks it might be risky as a permanent solution and probably if she gets past like 4-5 months without a bond someone is going to tell her "no more sweets until you get a proper bond" because she's a child and people are less patient with her risking her health than they might be for an adult.

Plotting: On the player end of things, I do want Leslie to get a bond eventually, because golly, what a great mechanic this is! There's so much you can do with it to deepen CR! And with Leslie having a familiar (and maybe picking up another later), she can even manage witch-witch bonds safely if that happens! But I am in no rush. I don't want to bond for the sake of having a bond; I want it to happen because it's right for the characters at that moment in their relationship.

And I also wouldn't want to push it on another player. Bonding with a kid, especially a traumatized one, might be complicated for some characters. There are a lot of characters with trauma, but when you're a child, adults are more likely to want to hide things from you to shield you from the worst of the world. An adult bonding with her will not have that option, so I want anyone choosing to do so to think it through: either the character will have to give up being able to hide as much from a child or the bond will eventually break. I wouldn't actually mind writing a potentially doomed bond, but you'd have to think about whether you would be okay with causing that for a cute child. ...Also anyone who bonds with Leslie should learn how to mute a bond before they have sex or do it on the opposite end of town. Another way that it's different to have a bond with a kid. Adult peers you can just make uncomfortable.

Again, I do want to do at least one bond sometime -- preferably more than one! -- but the approximately five months that the single familiar solution works well will give time for current CR to grow closer and for another couple of app cycles of new possibilities to come in. And if Leslie ends up in a bond in like a week, that's cool, too! I want to see how things go.

Status: Permanent, active, friends. The bond was formed partly out of necessity; Kor strongly needed a bond with a monster, especially since his control over his magical energy is... lacking, and Yuma needed a bond with a witch because his transformation was becoming more than he could handle on his own. They were already friends and housemates prior to this, so it just seemed like a logical move to them.
Info: This bond is newly formed for the two of them, so it's still kind of up in the air as how they'll treat it. But at least on Kor's end? He's got no reason to hide it or keep it a secret. He's the sort of person who's very open about himself, so if talking about his bond was something that needed talked about, he wouldn't hold it back.

Plans: I have a possible second bond, though that may still be tentative and up in the air.
Plotting: Kor comes from a world where bonds between people's hearts can naturally form, which means he came in with some misconceptions about how bonds here worked, and how necessary it was that somebody initiate them. He's since learned and rectified that, of course. With that said, he's absolutely in the market to form more bond, largely because he knows and understands now that it's something that helps him and also helps the other person, and he likes helping. He's friendly, kind, and sociable, and loves his friends like nothing else.

If the opportunity comes, I even want to explore the perils of forming too many bonds for him, because he's absolutely the sort to overbond.

Status: Permanent and pretty cozy so far; just two teenage Monsters gettin' by. They made the jump to Bonding in part on "Hey, let's not go feral" grounds, but Asahi's anxious-protective-devotedness and his bubbly-earnest-neediness balance each other out well. (Also Asahi's Bond vows were like distressingly good.)
Info: This is their Bond's second full month, so it's still relatively new! Perhaps surprisingly for him, while it's not a secret at all, Momiji probably doesn't talk about it much with others--people who know him may have noticed that he went from visibly struggling with the effects of not having Bonded around the start of the New Year to suddenly being on a much more even-kilter. But the Bond is the closest thing he has here to the connection the Zodiac Curse provides to the other Sohmas back home (except for how it doesn't existentially suck!), so. It's a rare entry on the list of things he has too many Feelings about to chatter about incessantly.

Plans: Nothing terribly concrete at this point! Momiji still needs to Bond with a Witch at some point to get the full balancing benefits of that connection. And eventually it'd be fun to have the memory-share feature of Bonding just unload on someone with some good old-fashioned Sohma family trauma, since he's otherwise very good about not mentioning the layers of fucked-up that are just kind of normal for him back home. But for the time being he's not in a hurry to change anything up IC!

Plotting: As noted, he should really find himself a Witch at some point. (Though he has especially fuzzy feelings for fellow Monsters, and I could also totally see him ending up in his own little unhelpful Bond menagerie...) He's not someone who will leap into a Bond casually, though; even temp-bonds sound kinda icky to him still.

Since his Bond with Asahi is such a comfortable fit, I'd especially like his next Bond to have a more contentious/unsettled side? (Or even possibly an attempted-and-dramatically-failed Bond!) He's potentially available, e.g. to pester otherwise reticent types into taking the plunge into a Bond, if he clicks with them and thinks they need it! Also, he's too young for virtually everyone in-game, and not really suited to a romantic Bond at present anyway, but a confused/one-sided/otherwise hopeless crush + Bond would be terrible and therefore sounds like a great idea to me.

There has been some stilted awkwardness with romantic overtones here and there, as they're exploring emotions they did not know that they had, and Edelgard is actively attempting to bring him out of his mental fortress more.

Info: Corrin was her second bond, and she's found Corrin to be an incredibly sweet, caring partner, and appreciates her energy. She's so positive and upbeat it's hard not to be infected by it and feel good around her. There has been some romantic, affectionate, downright scandalous behavior between the two of them recently, though a lot of it amounts to Edelgard discovering that she can in fact relax and have physically affectionate connections with other people.

Info: Soren doesn't readily share much about himself as a general rule, and this includes his Bonds. He's going to be less likely to want to share this one, especially since the Exarch is also rather secretive by necessity of his role and he is wary of CERTAIN PEOPLE using him against him. However, he is quite content with his Bond and finds that they are a compatible match. It is platonic. Their connection makes him feel secure and emotionally balanced. He finds the Exarch comfortable to be around, reliable and intelligent, and rather good at baking. However, he overworks himself and could use more than just an accidental catnap every now and then.

Plans: Ever since Soren lost his first Bond (Yako) in November, he has been rather serious about reaching out to his fellow Mirrorbound for help despite his natural inclination to seclude himself and avoid growing close to anyone but Ike. Ike isn't here to help him, so he has to suck it up and forge bonds with people he considers complete strangers. Therefore, he has been actively seeking potential partners. He's slowed his game ever since securing his first Bond, and he's "going steady" with another possible Bond who is also serious about making it official. This makes him feel a lot more at ease about the whole subject... But if the opportunity to fill his third slot opens, he will take it. Within... reason, of course. He'd rather not Bond with a complete nutjob.

I would like to explore the exchange of feelings and even memories. The way I see it, Soren is very sensitive to the emotions of his bondmates— so much so that the moods of his Bonds have the power to change his own. He's like a sponge. To see how Soren handles feelings that are outside of the limited scope of his usual gloomy range... Things like incredible joy or having simple fun. These are emotional experiences that he has enjoyed feeling vicariously in past Bonds, and it has the potential for some interesting character development.
Plotting: Down for both swinging temp Bond trials (so is Soren, and he will always prefer to "try someone on" before sealing the deal) and for filling all three slots. He is only looking for Witches but will temp Bond with a Monster to achieve some ends. He'd rather his Bond be strong, competent, and mature. His subconscious preferences are: emotionally stable (ha! in aefenglom?!), altruistic, and stouthearted. He is afraid of himself going feral or being manipulated into a berserk state like he has been in the past, so that is why his major preference is someone he thinks can take on or manage to placate a dragon. But realtalk, here: I like things to develop organically. And I'm definitely down for shenanigans and total mismatches and throwing our characters together to see what happens. I'M OPEN TO SO MUCH...

He's also admittedly afraid because he liked his last two bonded a lot and they're both gone, which hurts.

Plans: Connor is looking for more Bonds, but he's happy enough as he is with just the one if nothing comes up.
Plotting: Of course he does need to be kind of already close to someone before considering a Bond, so if someone expresses interest in a Bond with him he either has to already like them or get to know them better first. It's still possible for pretty much anyone to Bond with him eventually, though!

Also, a heads up... he apparently isn't great at platonic Bonds. Like he can do them, but he's prone to falling for Bonded.

Info: kind of the same as the last one but fugo is more Fragile and thus giorno is moderately more feral over him. this is a recent bond as of beginning 2020 and sharing emotions is still Weird. giorno is fairly open about both of his bonds but doesn't share personal details about either of them? just because his bonded are very private people. that will probably change eventually, though, because he doesn't respect boundaries.

Plans: my Goal is for giorno to eventually deal with having bond Feelings but who knows when that will happen. i am definitely open to additional bonds but not actively looking! as someone else mentioned i'm also up for giorno taking on too many bonds and having to break some bc hes stupid and doesnt follow any rules he doesnt make himself. sometimes even the ones he does make himself.
