Henry was perfectly content to wave this stranger off for fear of occupying his time, despite the intuitive sense that the two of them had something they could share in. It's something in Soren's eyes or his aura, but he wonders if maybe it's only that relation to magic they share. Saying goodbye at this point seems to be all he can do, until the sight of something unfamiliar mars the foliage in place of a sliver of his past. In its place, Henry grows fascinated at the appearance of a feline-featured person, and he grips the air with tangible excitement.

"Is that... A cat person?!" he exclaims, his elation punctuated by an airy laugh. Not yet has he really soaked in the tragedy of what's unfolding before him, too busy relating to it as though it's like his own memories: a life where humans disregarded and mistreated him, when animals did only the opposite.

"Were you raised by cat people?! Yay! I kinda felt like we might've had something in common!"
