You are not putting me out. I live in a fairly large house with one other person, so realistically you would be assisting the city by sharing residency with someone who is already established.

Though, I think perhaps I could also find some tasks for you. You are clearly able to read, so I assume you know your letters, so you could assist Hubert and I as a scribe, and once you learn the city you could be a messenger for me.

[These are all reasonable tasks to expect of a self-sufficient young lady.]

It will be no trouble at all, Leslie. In fact, I think having another person around would make our home a more cheerful place.
