[Akko's eyebrows raise a little at his words and her grin lessens again, but this time not from discouragement or concern. They're encouraging to say the least, but she... Well, realistically, she didn't know what to expect from him. She didn't expect him to get necessarily angry if she messed up, but she wasn't expecting him to be so relaxed about it. She certainly wouldn't be.]
[Her cheeks feel a little warm as her lips curve up into a bright smile once more. She nods in acknowledgment and her attention turns back down from his smile to the hand in hers. Akko draws a deep breath, raising her wand.]
[I got this. I got this. I got this.]
Metamorphie Faciesse!
[She levels her wand at his fingers. This time, she's a little less disappointed when light doesn't gather at the tip of her wand, more accepting of the fact it seems her magic acts differently under dream logic. She does wait a moment this time before trying it again. The same incantation, the same flick of a wand. And she waits, with no results. And again, only this time aimed at the scales. But not a thing appears to be happening.]
Ugh! This stupid thing!
[She shakes her wand a few times again, letting go of his hand so she can thwack it lightly against the palm of her opposite hand. It's at this point that Lance might notice she appears to have accidentally grown some webbing between the fingers of that hand. But if he's not quick, Akko quickly shoves that hand behind her back the moment she notices, laughing nervously.]
Well, I guess there's no much I can do for you right now. My wand doesn't seem to be behaving today!
