Weather
- As the nights get longer -- and significantly colder -- the days in the city of Aefenglom turn shorter and grayer with each passing week. Each morning these days is shrouded in a heavy, damp mist that chills to the bone, wet leaves crunching underfoot having fallen from increasingly bare branches. The overcast skies soon give way to tumultuous, stormy weather. Substantial, steady rains cover Aefenglom for significant swaths of the month, driving most people indoors as much as possible to dry off by the hearth with a hot drink in hand. With the bad weather dragging out, more sailors than usual have stayed docked at the harbor, waiting out the storms in increasingly crowded taverns by the sea.
In the Wilde, existing ever in stark contrast, the weather has warmed enough for even the most stubborn snows to melt. Various beasts and creatures dwelling there are out enjoying the warm sunlight -- and many have turned their attentions, as nature would have it, to searching for a mate. It wouldn't be unusual to see huge, angry bucks raring for a fight, or accidentally stumble into any number of carnivores' territory, being guarded even more viciously than usual as they prepare for courtship. Many animals are particularly hostile and on high alert at this time of the year, so it's best to be extra careful going out into the Wilde anytime soon.
After appearing bright and full in the sky at the very end of Octeuril, the Sisters remain dark most of the month, with the new moons falling on the 15th. They reemerge completely at the end of the month, on the 30th.
