Midmonth Mod Post: November Hello, Aefenglom! Here's your monthly midmonth mod post. First, as always, some reminders. They're pretty brief this month: • Louis's Masquerade post is still going strong! Dance the night away and take your mind off recent troubling happenings within the city. • Our November Event log, Mirror Mix-up is still due to go up on November 20th at 3PM EST! If you were late signing up for a random item mix-up, feel free to use this post to plot out a mix-up with someone else! •Our activity check also begins on November 23rd! While we'll have the requirements on the activity check itself as a reminder, here they are right now so you can start figuring things out: 10 comments minimum from you across two threads OR one network post/log made by you with at least 5 comments from you and a second, separate thread with at least 5 comments from you. In addition, players are allowed to take a strike if they have at least half of the necessary activity; Inbox threads and personal overflow threads also work - they just have to be from the current month! • The calendar has all these dates as always, so check it out! Now then - onwards! The Aefenglom Journal As the bright colors of the fireworks light the sky, the smell of sulfur heavy in the air, the chill of the season beginning to settle in, one year passes unto the next. We'd like to remind all who still have things to throw out not to do so indiscriminately, as our annual issue of "treasure heaps" has worsened still; please use the designated areas for pick ups, and thank you to all who've helped keep all districts of Aefenglom clean. The mist from last month still hangs heavy in many citizens' minds, but thanks to Mirrorbound investigation, the Coven wishes to assure Aefenglom again that the perpetrators have been brought in. The city's thanks go out to the Mirrorbound who ensured that the mist could be destroyed: Theseus and Newt Scamander, Aziraphale; Edelgard Von Hresvelg, Caspar von Bergliez, Corrin; Lambert, Kaneka Nyskie, Steak, Red Wine; Jusis Albarea, Wataru Kurenai, and Lalli Hotakainen. The Judiciary Committee of Parliament has given the Coven full authority in interrogation and prosecution of these ne'er do wells. Reportedly, the scheme was masterminded by a Witch from Dorchacht, who gathered help from four others in Aefenglom to carry it out. We mourn the loss of a young Witch from the Aristocratic District, who was murdered in the process, and wish the best to her twin brother, who remains missing, but is not suspected to be a danger at this time. The two who created the Mist are in custody at the Coven and have been undergoing private interrogations, due to the sensitive nature of the spell used. Their trials are expected to take place this week in a closed session at the Coven; more details will likely be released in an official statement from Theodore Rosethorne, Assistant to Nerissa Bell, after the trials have concluded. Aefenglom always bounces back after misfortune, and going into the new year after Samuin, the city hopes that things will continue looking up. A lovely masquerade ball was held by a Mirrorbound, Louis, and we have reports that it went without a hitch - perhaps this will begin a new trend within the city. We have all faith that this serves as good omen for the year to come that all will be well and worth celebration. OOC Updates • Firstly, we're pleased to introduce our new list and ac mods, Shuu, our Caster player, and Kim, our Newt Scamander. We appreciate their hard work in helping us tackle the administrative side of things! • With a little more time freed up, we've updated the Bonds page to consolidate information from the FAQ and add a new tidbit - a Witch Bonded to a Monster can get an extra boost of power when casting spells related to that Monster's type, and the Monster's natural power will gain a similar boost from the Witch's magic! Feel free to be creative with this. • With the holiday season upon us, December's Activity Check next month will only require half-AC - one thread or post with 5 comments or more from you. Feedback We're here again to offer everyone the chance to give some feedback, if there's anything that you've noticed or would like to possibly seem implemented! Talking Points: • Info posts that you'd like clarification for. • Quests. In general, what kind of quests would you like to see more of? How can we improve with these? What's working, and what isn't? • Plot investigation feedback. We've gotten quite a few good investigations, and honestly it's been fantastic seeing what everyone does with their information. • Events. What type of ones would you like to see, what ones are working, what aren't? • General feelings on: the game, the timing of posts, how events and such are set up, etc. • And more! Tell us what's on your mind. We honestly appreciate all kinds of comments, and we want to make Aefenglom a wonderful, fun, and comfortable game for everyone who joins.
