I think that giving resistance info and standing back might be the most likely outcome since anything more dramatic would need to be heavily backtagged at this point (there's a lot of going on with the game so I understand why we didn't get answers yet). I know Gonsai mentioned Ursula being very upset at them not taking action, but also going with whatever Fang decides.
